The air was getting warr, and Gu Qingli’s consciousness gradually sharpened. She heard sobbing.
Who was crying? she wondered. Could it be Xiao Yunjing?
"Young Master, Miss’s pulse is getting stronger!" Wuyou couldn’t contain her joy.
Xiao Yunjing remained focused, continuously transferring his internal energy to Gu Qingli. He was determined to wake her.
Two hours later, Gu Qingli slowly opened her eyes.
"Yunjing," she called out weakly.
"Li’er."
"Miss..."
A few exclamations of joy rang out.
Xiao Yunjing gently turned her to face him.
It’s wonderful. I managed to wake her up, he thought, imnsely relieved.
Looking at Gu Qingli, now with her eyes open, tears stread down Xiao Yunjing’s face as he gently kissed her forehead.
"Li’er," he murmured her na softly.
Wuqing and his companions couldn’t help but shed tears as well.
Previously, they had watched the Young Master transferring his internal energy to her, looking like a puppet, mindlessly focused on that single task.
They had all been thinking, what would they do if Miss didn’t wake up?
They were convinced they would all die with her.
Especially the Young Master. They had known for a long ti that most of what he did was for Miss.
If Miss were gone, the Young Master’s pillar of support would vanish, and his life would lose all aning.
"Don’t cry!" Gu Qingli tried to lift her hand to wipe Yunjing’s tears.
But before she could even raise it, he caught her hand.
Xiao Yunjing hastily wiped away his tears and asked, "Li’er, are you in pain anywhere?"
Gu Qingli shook her head. "No, I’m just cold, hungry, and tired. I want to go into the Space."
"Alright," Xiao Yunjing gently agreed.
Gu Qingli slowly turned her head. Seeing the group, all of them grievously injured, she said, "Wuqing, all of you, co over."
Wuqing nodded and had Yun No. 20 and the others drag the unconscious people over.
"Is this all of them?" Gu Qingli furrowed her brow. Ten people ca with Xiao Yunjing, but there are only five here.
"Miss, we..." Wushuang couldn’t continue.
Gu Qingli surveyed the surrounding terrain and instantly understood. Given how severe their injuries are, it’s already remarkable they found five.
With a thought, a cup of Spiritual spring water materialized in her hand.
Xiao Yunjing quickly took it and gave it to Wuyou and the others.
Gu Qingli then produced two more cups, allowing Wuqing and his group to recover so of their strength first.
Having regained so energy, Wuqing said, "Miss, now that we’ve recovered a bit, let’s go find the others. If we delay any longer, it might be too late for them even if we do find them."
"Alright. Wuyou, take these five into the Space to treat their injuries first," Gu Qingli instructed, pointing to the five barely breathing mbers of the Secret Sect on the ground.
Wuyou nodded.
Gu Qingli had them gather close, then brought all six of them into the Space. Simultaneously, she released Da Bai to help with the search.
Once everything was arranged, she leaned weakly against Yunjing.
"Hmm?"
Only then did Gu Qingli realize sothing was amiss with Yunjing. His teeth were clenched, his face was pale, and his back was stooped.
"Yunjing!"
Wuqing and the others are all severely injured, she thought. There’s no way Yunjing alone could be unscathed.
Panic seized Gu Qingli. With a thought, she brought Yunjing into the Space.
"Wuyou, quickly!" Gu Qingli shouted urgently as soon as they entered the Space.
"Miss?"
Hearing the shout, Wuyou quickly hopped over on one foot.
"Quick, check on Yunjing!" she urged anxiously, scrambling off him.
The mont Gu Qingli moved away, Xiao Yunjing collapsed with a THUD.
"Yunjing!" Gu Qingli cried out in shock.
"Miss, please don’t panic. With here, the Young Master will be fine," Wuyou said, quickly helping Gu Qingli up as she tried to crawl towards Xiao Yunjing again.
"Wuyou, quickly, check on Yunjing! What’s wrong with him?" Gu Qingli cried, anxiously clutching Wuyou’s sleeve.
"Alright, Miss, don’t worry. I’ll check him right now, right now! You must take care of yourself; you’re not alone," Wuyou said, patting her gently on the back a few tis before hurrying to examine Xiao Yunjing.
Gu Qingli nodded obediently, though she felt utterly panicked and disoriented. She touched her stomach and checked her own pulse. Indeed, the pregnancy is unstable.
She struggled to her feet and slowly made her way to the Pharmacy. I can’t collapse, she thought. That would be disastrous.
First, she swallowed a pill, then drank a cup of Spiritual spring water. Only after composing herself sowhat did she pick up her dicine box and walk out, her movents sluggish.
Wuyou was currently bandaging Yunjing’s wounds.
Seeing Gu Qingli erge, Wuyou hopped over on one foot to support her, explaining, "Miss, please rest assured, the Young Master is not in serious danger. He was initially overco by distress and had also sustained so injuries. When he saw you were alright, the sudden relief caused him to faint.
"Also, he was searching for you in the snow despite his injuries. He was under imnse ntal strain at the ti. Now that the tension has eased, his body naturally couldn’t hold up any longer, so he fainted."
"That’s good, that’s good." Gu Qingli took a calming breath. "You go check on the others. I’ll take care of him here."
"Alright then. Miss, if you need , just call," Wuyou nodded. She still hadn’t finished treating the five mbers of the Secret Sect.
She had just set up IV drips for them.
This was sothing Wuyou had learned from Gu Qingli.
However, Wuyou found it rather strange, she mused. The Western dicines in Miss’s Pharmacy seem inexhaustible. Even if a box is clearly used up, the next ti I go to get more, the quantity is the sa as before.
I wonder if Miss is aware of this? There’s no ti to ask now; I’ll ask her when there’s an opportunity.
"Okay, then hurry along," Gu Qingli said. She then removed Yunjing’s outer clothes, making a makeshift bed for him to lie on. I don’t have the strength to carry him this ti, she thought.
Her limbs had only just regained so feeling and were still sowhat stiff, not to ntion she was pregnant.
By the ti she had set up Yunjing’s IV drip, bandaged his wounds, and cleaned him up, she was nearly collapsing from exhaustion.
She drank another cup of Spiritual spring water. After recovering a little, she went to the kitchen to prepare a large pot of soup. Everyone will need to replenish their nutrients later, she thought.
"Miss, you should rest now." Wuyou, having just finished tending to the five n, limped in and took over Gu Qingli’s task.
"I’m fine. You rest first," Gu Qingli said, rubbing her lower back and waving her hand dismissively.
She felt much better now. The Space is never short of various dicines, and I already took sothing to restore my energy.
"Miss, perhaps we should go out and see how things are?" Wuyou suggested after a mont’s thought. "We’ve been in here for quite so ti, and Wuqing and the others are still outside."
"Oh, you’re right! I completely forgot about that," Gu Qingli said, lightly tapping her forehead.
She found a thick cloak to wear and exited the Space with Wuyou.
Outside, with Da Bai’s help, the other five n had been found. However, two of them showed no signs of life, their bodies already stiff.
The remaining three were only barely breathing.
Gu Qingli imdiately brought all of them into the Space.
"Yun No. 20, put these two into the pool."
Yun No. 20 hesitated for a mont. Does the Mistress intend to save them? he wondered. These n show no signs of life. Can they still be saved?
Never mind, I’ll just do as she says, he decided. The Mistress gave the order, so we’ll treat a dead horse as if it were alive—it’s worth a try.
He quickly stripped the two n of their clothes, placed them in the pool, and then he and Yun No. 18 each kept watch over one of them.
