Chapter 11: Netherworld Techniques! Qi of the Azure Yimu1 Dragon and The Celestial2 Emperor’s Subduing Tiger Sutra
“Pristine Physique? Innate Qi?”
Xu Xuan felt a sudden warmth wash over him as if he had been bathed from the inside out. The spiritual energy of heaven and earth flowed effortlessly into his body with each breath, transforming into a surging current that raced through his ridians.
Then, with a mysterious force guiding it, the energy erupted, purging years of accumulated impurities from his pores and orifices. Within monts, a thin layer of black sludge coated his entire body. Its stench was unbearable.
“Damn, was purging always this slly?”
Alchemy was the last thing on his mind now. He hurriedly scooped a full cauldron of hot water from the furnace. If he had Sun Wukong’s skills, he might have just jumped straight into it.
Half an hour later—
Xu Xuan exhaled deeply. Even though he was still soaking in water, his entire body felt lighter, like he had been reborn. He glanced at his status panel.
The words [Eighth Level of Body Refining Realm] had unknowingly changed to [Innate First Level].
“…I’ve already reached the Innate Realm? Isn’t this system a little too overpowered?”
Less than a year ago, he had been an ordinary mortal. And now? He had crossed the barrier into Innate cultivation. If people heard about this, they might think he was so banished celestial or the reincarnation of a great master.
…
“Master, I have finished making the pills!”
That evening, Master Xuan Mu returned with a gloomy face.
Xu Xuan didn’t even need to check the basket—his master had co back empty-handed.
“Master, the Revitalizing Pills are done! I also refined three furnaces of Bone-Healing Ointnt—it should last for a while.”
Master Xuan Mu gave a half-hearted nod, looking utterly defeated. Even a Golden Core master wasn’t immune to the pain of a failed fishing trip.
Then suddenly—he whipped around, his eyes blazing with golden light.
“You broke into the Innate Realm?!”
Xu Xuan scratched his head.
“Uh… I think so?”
Master Xuan Mu circled him four or five tis, his gaze flickering with astonishnt.
“Reversing the Body Refining Realm… Pristine and Pure… This is definitely an Innate Physique! But I haven’t even taught you the Tiger-Dragon Alchemy thod yet! How did you advance? What did you do?!”
Xu Xuan couldn’t exactly reveal the system, so he just improvised a half-truth.
“I was refining the Revitalizing Pills…Then, out of nowhere, inspiration struck—and suddenly a warm current surged through …!”
Master Xuan Mu scratched his head.
“Don’t tell Revitalizing Pills can help break into the Innate Realm…? That’s impossible! This pill is just for…!”
His voice trailed off, lost in thought. No matter how he analyzed it, it made zero sense. In the end, he could only chalk it up to Xu Xuan’s sheer talent and divine providence.
“I’ll get you a better cultivation thod! Originally, I planned to teach you the Tiger-Dragon Alchemy thod. Since you’ve broken through the Innate Realm, I’ll pass on the Primal Tiger-Dragon Qi instead.”
Xu Xuan’s eyes lit up. Both the Tiger-Dragon Alchemy thod and Primal Tiger-Dragon Qi sounded far superior to his current Qi Nurturing Technique. Even though he had powerful passive attributes, cultivation techniques still mattered. Just like Xuan Mo from the Talisman Division had said—who would ever say no to better techniques?
Xu Xuan was already looking forward to it when he suddenly heard Master Xuan Mu say, “But since you’ve already broken through, regular thods won’t help you much. Wait a few days. I’ll request a top-tier Qi thod from the Grandmaster himself!”
…
“Not one, but two cultivation thods?”
Master Xuan Mu didn’t keep him waiting long. Exactly two days later, he returned—holding two books.
“Qi of the Azure Yimu Dragon and The Celestial Emperor’s Subduing Tiger Sutra?”
Xu Xuan was stunned.
“Weren’t you going to bring just one? Why two?”
Master Xuan Mu stroked his long white beard, smiling.
“Don’t underestimate these two techniques. They’re among the few divine arts of our Heavenly Master Sect!”
“Qi of the Azure Yimu Dragon. This technique cultivates the pure Qi of Innate Yimu. Once mastered, it grants regeneration—at small success, it heals flesh wounds. At great success, it can even reattach severed limbs! If perfected, it extends life by 180 years.”
Xu Xuan’s eyes shone with excitent.
“Regrowing limbs? Prolonging life?! This is practically an immortal technique!”
Master Xuan Mu chuckled.
“It’s not just ‘practically.’ It is an immortal technique. Once fully cultivated, it unlocks a Netherworld Technique, ‘Head Reattachnt’!”
Xu Xuan’s jaw nearly dropped.
“…Head Reattachnt?!”
Even though he knew this world wasn’t normal, this was still beyond belief.
“Now, coming to the Celestial Emperor’s Subduing Tiger Sutra”
Master Xuan Mu’s expression grew serious.
“While the Azure Dragon’s Qi is powerful, it lacks killing intent. It won’t be enough to protect you if you leave the mountain. You may love alchemy, but you don’t want to be the kind of alchemist who gets chased down by enemies, do you? That’s why I shalessly requested this—the Celestial Emperor’s Subduing Tiger Sutra!”
Xu Xuan imdiately recognized the aning. “Celestial Emperor” symbolized tal and war. This had to be a combat technique! Though his guess was right, Master Xuan Mu’s next words still shocked him.
“This technique includes the Tiger Stance, the Celestial Emperor Fist, and the Extre tal Sword Qi of the West! At full mastery, you’ll gain imnse strength and two more Netherworld Techniques—”Beast Control” and “Colossal Strength. If fortune smiles upon you… these two thods might even rge. Then, you could awaken one of the legendary 36 Heavenly Divine Powers, ‘Dragon-Subduing, Tiger-Taming’! That technique is comparable to the Heavenly Master Sect’s ultimate art—’Tiger-Dragon Golden Core Soaring Immortal Sutra!'”
Master Xuan Mu tilted his head back proudly. His face practically scread Praise !
Xu Xuan was beyond excited. He hadn’t known him for long, but Master Xuan Mu had gone above and beyond for him. He hadn’t just taught him alchemy, he had even secured divine techniques for his safety. Xu Xuan took a deep bow.
“Thank you, Master, for your generosity! I swear I will never disappoint you!”
Master Xuan Mu laughed heartily. Then—his expression turned slightly awkward.
“Oh, right, one more thing…! To get these techniques, I, uh… told the Grandmaster you were… my master’s successor.”
Yimu(乙木) refers to a special kind of wood, ‘yi’ signifies yin in yin-yang and ‘mu’ ans wood.Celestial was sothing I substituted. The original word was White Emperor, which doesn’t signify his power as much.
