“Threatening ?” Chief Ying Ke couldn’t help but laugh, “Young lady, you are still too naive. If we want to investigate you, we have plenty of legitimate reasons; outsiders wouldn’t be able to find any flaws at all.”
“If Chief Ying Ke insists on trying, then go ahead and try.”
“Dad, you must take my side. She slapped my face in front of so many people; I can’t swallow this insult.”
“People always pay the price for their actions, and besides, you’re not exactly young anymore; you must be over sixteen, right?”
“Being sixteen still makes him a child; what does he know?” Chief Ying Ke dismissed it, “You hitting him is not acceptable. Either you apologize to him now and admit you didn’t recognize Tai Shan, and I’ll let this go, or I’ll have soone check out your shop’s accounts or food safety right now. If anything is not up to standard, you’ll be in trouble; do you want to try it?” Chief Ying Ke certainly couldn’t be threatened by a young lady.
“According to Chief Ying Ke, I’m also still a child, since I’m only just over twenty years old. If I hit your son, it’s just two children fighting. Isn’t it pointless for adults to intervene in a children’s fight?”
“It seems you’re really asking to be punished,” Chief Ying Ke scoffed.
Seeing the situation turning south, Officer B tried to persuade Xiaofeng, “Miss, it’s not a big deal, just a minor issue. How about this – whatever amount Young Master Ying spent, I’ll pay for him.”
“Are you his dad, that you need to pay for him? His own father hasn’t said he would pay for his son; why are you sticking your nose in this?” Xiaofeng’s expression was equally frosty.
Officer B looked at Xiaofeng, not sure what to say.
Couldn’t she hear it? He was trying to give her a way out. By insisting on being stubborn, she would only be worse off.
“Don’t refuse the face given to you.” The young man blushed upon hearing Xiaofeng’s words.
“I have my own face; I don’t need you to give one.”
Xiaofeng was so unreasonable and tough to talk to that Chief Ying Ke also beca angry; he was about to have soone cause trouble at Xiaofeng’s shop when three more people entered from outside.
Xiaofeng looked up and saw Brother Yu leading people in.
Upon seeing the newcors, Chief Ying Ke’s attitude imdiately took a 180-degree turn, “Officer Yu, what brings you here?”
“What’s happened here, who’s causing trouble?” Brother Yu scanned the room and asked softly.
“It’s nothing serious, just so misunderstanding among kids; I was just advising them,” Chief Ying Ke replied with a smile, “Officer Yu, what brings you here?”
“Nothing, I just ca for a casual visit.” Seeing that Xiaofeng didn’t call him, he was sowhat upset, “Young Madam Gu, I believe we’ve t before, haven’t we? Don’t you recognize ?”
Xiaofeng clearly understood that Brother Yu was giving her face and smiled, “You’re Shuiling’s older brother, of course I recognize you. But this is your workplace and I didn’t want to shout out and possibly cause you trouble, right?”
“Trouble? What trouble?” Brother Yu frowned, “Are they making it difficult for you?”
Chief Ying Ke listened to the exchange between Officer Yu and Xiaofeng, sensing that sothing was off.
This seemingly unimportant young lady knew Officer Yu, and from the looks of it, Officer Yu seed sowhat ingratiating.
“No, not really. It’s just that Chief Ying’s son ca to my shop, took so items, and didn’t pay. I just taught Chief Ying’s son a lesson for that, and here, Chief Ying was saying his son is still young and that I shouldn’t have treated his son like that, and was just about to teach a lesson,” Xiaofeng explained simply without exaggerating.
If Brother Yu hadn’t arrived, Chief Ying Ke was indeed ready to teach her a lesson.
“Old Ying, your son goes to soone’s store, takes stuff, and doesn’t pay?” Brother Yu asked Chief Ying Ke.

With Officer Yu there, Chief Ying Ke certainly couldn’t do anything to Su Xiaofeng.
Not only could he not do anything, but he also had to show a good attitude.
The young man, smart as he was, sensed that the other party was more capable than his own father and cooperated fully, stepping forward, “Miss, I didn’t intend not to pay just now.
