The two imdiately hid inside Cat Ear Cave, only leaving a pair of eyeballs rolling about, staring at the two slowly approaching figures. The pace of the two was not fast, and under the silvery moonlight and the snow-covered ground, the view across the entire plain was crystal clear.

"Two from Ghoul Ravine?" Those inside Cat Ear Cave recognized the clothing of the two people coming in with clear visibility—so brazenly walking in? Just two people?

The two soldiers exchanged a suspicious glance, wondering whether to go back and report.

However, before they could act, soldiers from another part of Cat Ear Cave had already quietly left and sprinted towards the camp. The two imdiately crouched down again, afraid of being discovered.

Yet, these two approached so slowly, as if unafraid of being spotted, and their manner even more bizarre. As they got closer, one could discern sothing strange—these two seed...

The two soldiers imdiately dismissed their thoughts; these were clearly living people. But at the mont, the two had a vacant look in their eyes as they walked step by step toward Qiandao Temple’s camp, without any attempt at evasion, as if marching towards their doom.

The soldiers hadn’t had ti to react when the people at Qiandao Temple’s camp had already noticed the two, and after a flurry of panic, a number of Disciples of Qiandao Temple had gathered in front of the camp gate, watching the approaching pair with faces full of caution.

"Halt—" A Disciple of Chang Qing stood in the forefront, bellowing sternly, with weapon pointed at the two who kept walking forward. But the pair showed no sign of stopping, and the atmosphere suddenly tensed. So of the more fearful disciples even took a step back, warily eyeing the two people.

Master Chang Qing’s face darkened. He wanted to speak up, but a familiar disciple beside him tugged on his sleeve—a warning not to overexert himself given the strange happenings of the past few days.

Though Master Chang Qing didn’t speak, he didn’t retreat either, tightly clutching the Magic Artifact in his hand, ready to strike at any mont.

The atmosphere grew tense. Every step the pair took on the frozen snow sent shivers through everyone’s hearts. As the two slowly drew nearer, Master Ling Yi arrived when the two disciples from Ghoul Ravine were just a few ters from the camp, and everyone instantly felt as if a backbone had erged among them, promptly clearing a path.

Master Ling Yi glanced at Junior Brother Chang Yu, who gave a subtle nod. The Formation was already in place, set up behind them by the many people who had successfully concealed any trace of its energy. As long as they could lure the people in, dealing with them afterward would be much easier.

"Halt—" Master Chang Qing, after receiving a signal from Master Ling Yi, turned back around, his tone now even more stern than before.

The two stopped, halting just two ters in front of the crowd. Their movents were strangely synchronized, causing all the disciples to hold their breath as they hastily drew their weapons and Magic Artifacts.

At that critical mont, the two disciples suddenly fell to their knees with a thud, their expressions stiff, but their words were full of pitiful desperation, nearly crying out.

"Please, save us, we don’t want to die—" they pleaded. The Disciples of Qiandao Temple on the scene were montarily stunned, standing bewildered as no one had expected such a plea.

Many Mages looked toward Master Ling Yi, and in that brief mont, almost instinctively, they divided into two factions: one wanted to take imdiate action, branding those from Ghoul Ravine monsters unworthy of trust, while another group believed they might learn sothing about Ghoul Ravine from these two.

Master Ling Yi belonged to the latter category, looking at the two n before him, he clearly felt that kind of aura. After several exchanges, Master Ling Yi also ca to realize that this Spell had a fatal injury, that is, the Spellcasters wouldn’t survive the casting, either. So, their coming to their campsite, seeking help to save soone, was also a plausible explanation.

What Master Ling Yi considered more than others was the safety of Qiandao Temple in the future. If they could learn more about the secrets of Ghoul Ravine and the Spells, it would be extrely important for Qiandao Temple.

"You—," Master Ling Yi had just opened his mouth when a Mage, already anxious, interrupted him.

"Brother—,"

"Master Ling Yi, these people are of unknown background, it’s still best to be cautious—," Master Qin Liang began, naturally representing many of the lesser Mages. They all mingled at the bottom rungs, and their encounters with the complex world of human relations were naturally incomparable to those disciples who spent their days cultivating within Qiandao Temple. Instinctively, they felt it was a trap.

"Master Qin Liang, let’s hear what they have to say," Ling Yi said, looking at Qin Liang. Qin Liang, not expecting to be addressed so politely, found himself unable to raise any opposition at the mont.

Although he did not know about these strange Ghoul Ravine Spells, and certainly was not as knowledgeable as those proper Disciples of Qiandao Temple, Qin Liang began to hesitate, thinking there might be things they didn’t know about.

Seeing that Qin Liang remained silent, Master Ling Yi stepped forward. This step instantly made the Disciples of Qiandao Temple tense up. Master Ling Yi looked at the two n kneeling on the ground. Whether it was their aura, their deanor, or the dark crimson color of their skin that was faintly erging, Master Ling Yi could assert that these two had practiced this kind of Spell, too.

"Could it be that your lives are hanging by a thread?" Master Ling Yi looked down briefly, his voice detached as he observed the two on the ground. It wasn’t a question, rather, it sounded more like stating a fact.

The disciple on the ground looked up in shock at Master Ling Yi, seemingly in disbelief that the Master before his eyes knew of their plight, and in the next mont, quickly kowtowed, his face showing a hint of joy.

This scene undoubtedly made the Mages present sowhat believe the two n before them.

"We don’t an to hide anything from the honored Mages, we’ve practiced a Poison Technique, and it wasn’t out of our own will, but rather, we were forced by that villain. We have already lost four brothers, and now, only the two of us are left. Honored Mages, look, just look..." They said, as both began to roll up their sleeves, revealing arms covered in red veins as thick as fingers, grueso and terrifying, and their entire arms had turned a crimson color, the muscles not resembling muscles, interlaced with veins, as if they might burst open at any mont.

This sight instantly reminded everyone of the other brothers who had turned into a puddle of black water, seemingly predicting that these two before them could end up the sa way at any mont. The crowd instinctively took a step back, a trace of fear showing on their faces.

Although it was Master Ling Yi’s first encounter with such a thing, he wasn’t scared but rather felt an urgent need to understand the situation of the two n. Just as he was about to squat down to inspect them, Master Chang Qing next to him imdiately reached out to hold back Ling Yi.

Master Ling Yi suddenly realized the danger and imdiately stepped back.

"Co inside first—," Master Ling Yi said, and he, along with Chang Qing and Chang Yu, took a step back in coordination, tacitly making room in the middle for the Formation, watching the two kneeling before them.
