"Eunuch Ho Sheng, don’t you find it strange that the Second Prince is going out now?" Xing Yu said to Eunuch Ho Sheng, who without waiting to think, decided to follow.

The two guards carrying the Second Prince entered the forest at a not-so-fast pace, not discerning direction, heading straight deep into the trees, on a trail that had been trodden firm. Zheng Nianru did not follow closely; from a distance, she only saw the backs of Zheng Muyuan and Master Yin He, so after the people in front had crossed over the mountain ridge, Zheng Nianru, along with Xing Yu and Eunuch Ho Sheng, climbed to the mountaintop only to find they had lost track of the others.
"Commandery Princess, should we split up and look?" Ho Sheng was very anxious, but his mind was still calm; the only clue that broke off from Commandery Princess Chao Ren concerning the Fourth Prince was here with the Second Prince.
"Alright." Zheng Nianru did not insist. Ho Sheng imdiately chose a mountain path and quickly chased after it.
Zheng Nianru continued with Xing Yu down another remaining mountain path.
"Commandery Princess, I don’t think the Second Prince would take this path," Xing Yu said as they walked. "That other path seems more frequently traveled."
"Xing Yu, have you heard anything about the matters concerning Qiandao Temple?" Zheng Nianru suddenly asked.
"Commandery Princess, why do you ask this?"
"I heard from the Prince that you had so connections with Qiandao Temple in your childhood."
"The mages at Qiandao Temple have all encountered so strange occurrences," Xing Yu thought for a mont, then spoke.
Zheng Nianru found this assertion quite novel and felt Xing Yu’s idea was not only shallow but unreliable. Asking more about it naturally would not yield any solid information. Although she was not deeply entangled with Qiandao Temple, she knew so matters concerning it.
Overall, Qiandao Temple gave her the impression of being a demon in the darkness, always harboring malevolent intentions ready to engulf the light.
Xing Yu stopped in her tracks, looking into the distance.
Zheng Nianru imdiately saw a dark cave, outside of which there was the sa sedan chair in which Zheng Muyuan had been sitting before.
"Commandery Princess, perhaps we should call for help." Xing Yu felt the atmosphere was a bit eerie, this unpleasant sensation making her sowhat fearful.
Zheng Nianru also felt her eyelids twitch, caves, always caves, encountering them never bode well.
"What if they escape in the anti?" Zheng Nianru disagreed, calling for help could accomplish what? Without clarifying why Zheng Muyuan had acted that way, and where exactly Zheng Haoyuan had gone, hastily calling for help would only startle the snake.
Zheng Nianru tiptoed forward, slowly approaching the entrance of the cave. Just then, two people ca out from the cave, glanced around, and brought the sedan chair back inside.
"Commandery Princess. Did you hear any sounds?" Xing Yu suddenly shouted out, asking Zheng Nianru in confusion.
