Song Gao only felt the person slowly walking up to him, and he tried his best to turn his head to look, but at this mont, he was like a soul trapped in a rigid human-shaped puppet, completely unable to move.

The person had already stopped in front of Song Gao and Song Yuan, and both could clearly hear the breathing of the two who had entered. However, Song Gao suddenly felt no fear the next mont, for the other party’s strength far surpassed his own. If they could subdue the two of them with such ans, then killing them would be a piece of cake.

Therefore, the other party was not there to kill them, but what were they there for?

Yin He stopped in his tracks, reaching out his hand. From Song Gao’s lowered gaze, all he could see was a slender finger, translucent and tender white under the candlelight.

The finger didn’t even co close to his arm, but Song Gao could distinctly feel a change in his arm. When he eventually looked at his arm, the rotting black circle of the wound slowly began to weep dark blood, and the wound itself slowly reverted to its original color at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Was this ant to save him? This answer made both Song Gao and Song Yuan even more puzzled.

When fresh red blood began to seep from the wound on his arm instead of black fluid, Song Gao and Song Yuan suddenly felt light, their bodies uncontrollably falling backward, but they were not ordinary people and managed to react quickly, rolling behind a table and using it as cover, their hands reaching instinctively for their weapons, ready to fight.

Elder Can looked at the two of them and sneered inwardly. It wasn’t that he wanted to look down on them, but that he genuinely did. Their skills were lacking, as were their brains.

If their Young Master were to make a move, there would be no chance for them to survive.

"Who are you?" Seeing that Yin He and Elder Can had no intention of moving and that the injury on his arm was obviously healed by the youth, Song Gao, although reluctant to fight, did not an he would trust the two before him.

"Humph, no good deed goes unpunished. Our Young Master saved your life, and you don’t even say thank you." But why did the Young Master want to save these two? Although he had been secretly investigating his own Young Master’s affairs for many days and had gleaned a glimpse into what the Young Master was thinking.

Were these two the ones who attempted to assassinate Zong Yunqian during the day? So the Young Master wanted to save them? This was not difficult to guess. Even though he disliked the Young Master’s obsequious ways, he had to admit, in order to get close to Princess Chao Ren, their Young Master was willing to do anything. Since the Young Master cared so much for Princess Chao Ren, naturally he would not like Zong Yunqian.

Song Gao carefully observed the two before him, a truly odd combination, dressed in the sa black attire that was so plain it almost had no distinguishing features. However, on the youth, the black clothes only accentuated his handso features, as flawless as white jade, while the black-clothed person who spoke...

Song Gao could only describe him as a strange person, dark as if he had just burrowed out of the soil, with wrinkles on his face that stretched from the sides of his mouth to his eyes and forehead, covering his entire face, capable of killing flies when he talked, giving the instinctive impression of a bad person.

But they had indeed saved him.

Song Gao looked at Song Yuan and slowly put down his weapon, straightening up; upon seeing this, although sowhat unwilling, Song Yuan ultimately trusted Song Gao and lowered his weapon as well.

"Thank you, young hero, for the rescue," Song Gao cupped his fist and spoke to the youth. This youth... hmm, looked more like a good person than the older man.

Yin He glanced at Song Gao and Song Yuan, too weak in foundation, and he held no interest in their identities.

"Were you trying to kill Zong Yunqian?" asked Yin He, his voice icy cold and devoid of emotion.

Song Gao and Song Yuan were taken aback, their hearts shocked the next mont. Did the other party know their identities? Who was this person?

Seeing that they didn’t answer, Yin He beca slightly impatient. These two were not good enough, unlikely to succeed in killing Zong Yunqian. It might be simpler to not bother with them and take matters into his own hands.

Elder Can saw that his Young Master was vexed and naturally understood the complexities involved. The Young Master wanted to use soone else’s hand to kill, but he felt that the other party lacked the strength, especially since they were defeated in their first encounter.

However, if the opponent succeeded, it would be none of their business.

"Our master isn’t interested in who you are. Today at Weixing Mountain, had our master not taken action, would you have been able to escape with your lives? Since we’ve spared your lives, naturally, there must be a payback."

Song Gao and Song Yuan exchanged glances, horrified. Were they there at that ti? Their own people had not noticed them.

Elder Can stepped forward, waved his hand, and a mass of black aura shot straight toward Song Gao’s arm. Before Song Gao could react, the blood-stained wound on his arm imdiately tightened. Although painful, it visibly began to heal, scabbing at a speed discernible to the naked eye.

Song Gao was shocked but imdiately speculated about the identities of the two before him. This was also Spells. These two people must understand Spells, too.

They also wanted to kill Zong Yunqian?

"Yes, Zong Yunqian killed our brothers, reducing our household by seven, sparing not even children of a few years old. We must avenge this debt," Song Gao imdiately gritted his teeth in anguish, his face showing sorrow while Song Yuan was startled, unable to keep up with the changing expressions of his brother and could only bow his head.

Damn it, he spoke as if a whole family had really died.

Seeing this, Elder Can glanced at his Young Master, and Yin He nodded slightly. It wasn’t that they believed the story, but rather that they truly weren’t interested. Whatever Zong Yunqian did, whatever these two experienced, he was not curious at all; as long as Zong Yunqian could be killed, it was enough.

"Teach them sothing useful, kill the man in the shortest ti possible," Yin He said.

Song Gao and Song Yuan were stunned, not yet clear about the aning of Yin He’s words, but Elder Can imdiately agreed. This was the first ti the Young Master had instructed him to do sothing; how could he not be eager?

"Lads, consider yourselves lucky," Elder Can looked at Song Gao and Song Yuan, acknowledging they had so foundation, but the Spells they knew were like the redies of a quack doctor, hardly effective.

With a wave of his hand from Elder Can, a mass of black mist had already trapped Song Gao and Song Yuan inside. They imdiately tried to escape, but Elder Can was one step ahead and swiftly grabbed both of them. Although they were not immobilized as they had been before, they felt as though all their strength had been drained.

"We, we’ll do it ourselves," Song Yuan gritted his teeth, struggling to speak.

"Hmph, if you do it yourselves, it would be quicker for Zong Yunqian to die of old age," Elder Can said as he released them.

When Song Gao and Song Yuan looked down again, they saw black lines on their arms, like tattoos, spreading over their entire limbs.

"What is this?" Song Yuan was horrified, trying to rub them off unsuccessfully.

"These talismans will temporarily protect you from falling victim to Zong Yunqian’s Spells." However, whether or not they got injured depended on their own fate.

As he spoke, Elder Can took out several black talismans from his sleeve. This ti, he didn’t reach out but waited for them to take the talismans themselves.
