"Xi Feng—," Zong Yunqian called out upon seeing this.

Xing Yu, seeing this, hurriedly passed over the flower shovel. "Thank you, Brother Xi Feng."

Xi Feng’s face turned slightly red, and for a mont he forgot to speak. The next mont his hand sank, the small shovel was heavier than he had imagined. He looked at Xing Yu in disbelief. Had this little girl carried the iron shovel along with those small tables and stools all by herself?

"In the past when we were outside, Xi Feng used to transport good varieties of flowers back, don’t worry," Zong Yunqian said.

Soon, Xi Feng had dug up an orchid, its roots wrapped in a thick clump of soil.

Yin He imdiately took it, quickly pulling out a cloth bag from sowhere to cover the roots, holding it in hand.

"Thank you—"

Zheng Nianru stood up, and Yin He and Nanny Yun quickly packed up the items and stuffed them into a large bundle. Xi Feng, frowning, stepped forward and while Yin He handed the orchid to Xing Yu, he tried to lift the bundle.

Xi Feng furrowed his brow, unable to lift it.

Gu Dao saw this, sowhat incredulous, also ca over and tried to lift it with one hand, but he too failed to move it.

Xing Yu turned around.

"What are you two doing?" Xing Yu asked, looking bewilderedly at Gu Dao and Xi Feng.

Gu Dao and Xi Feng awkwardly rubbed their hands.

"We were thinking if we could help you carry so things," Gu Dao said sheepishly. "Seeing you carry so much, why don’t we carry the flowers for you?"

"Oh, I see." Xing Yu was about to hand over the flowers she was holding when Yin He intervened.

"The flowers the Commandery Princess wants need to be carefully carried," Yin He said, feeling these two were not only an eyesore but their manner of speaking and behaviour repugnant.

"Oh right, thanks anyway. I can carry them," Xing Yu replied casually, instantaneously stating that these were no challenge for her.

Thus, under the complex gaze of Gu Dao and Xi Feng, Xing Yu had already chased after Zheng Nianru with the items on her back.

"Is Qiandao Temple fun?" After a short rest, and clearly getter more familiar, especially after Zong Yunqian urged Xi Feng to help, Nanny Yun even felt there might be so fun involved. Conversations ranged from the mountain’s scenery to today’s excursion, and finally, she managed to get the Commandery Princess and the Princely Heir talking.

Upon hearing this, Zong Yunqian smiled, unsure how to answer. He couldn’t just say Qiandao Temple was not for playing.

"Qiandao Temple was founded by my teacher, Master Huo Yi. It seeks the secret laws of heaven and earth, searching for eccentrics who can understand these secrets to alleviate human suffering, and to probe the mysteries of the cosmos and the future of worldly affairs," Zong Yunqian explained as he walked and watched the increasingly expansive vistas. Sunlight peeked through the clouds, a refreshing breeze swirled around the mountain, which was no longer hot but mildly cool.

"Yin He, are you unable to walk any further? Do you need to carry you?" Xing Yu glanced at her own Commandery Princess, who seed not to need her help, then turned to ask Yin He, anticipating the Commandery Princess might need a massage from Yin He after resting.

Yin He pouted pitifully, nodding sorrowfully. Why didn’t she care about him? Moreover, she didn’t even glance back at him.

Feeling that it was still better not to lose sight of her, Yin He quickly sped up a few steps to wipe the sweat from Zheng Nianru’s forehead, while Nanny Yun on the side pursed her lips. This lack of tact, always seeking attention—she was right there, was it really necessary to seek attention over and over again?

Yin He ekly retreated again, this ti truly exhausted, and leaned directly on Xing Yu’s shoulder, letting Xing Yu drag half of his body.

Gu Dao and Xi Feng were at a loss for words at this point, and seeing Yin He almost fully leaning on Xing Yu deepened the bafflent in their eyes.

anwhile, another three or four people moved rapidly toward Weixing Mountain, with Song Gao and Song Yuan in the lead, moving very fast, while the two following them kept a vigilant eye on the surrounding terrain.

"Captain, are we sure this is okay?" The master had ordered them to stay in Zheng Capital and had explicitly instructed them not to alarm anyone. However, it hadn’t been long before Song Gao had contacted them using a secret signal. The master didn’t leave many people in Zheng Capital, so they naturally couldn’t expose everyone.

"This is an extrely urgent matter. If we don’t handle this trip well, none of us can justify our actions afterward," Song Yuan said as he already scouted an excellent advantageous terrain, quickly considering all possibilities.

"Later, you two will go from the east, and we’ll approach from the rear. No nonsense, pretend to be bandits and knock those two young fellows out first, then act as if to kidnap, take the opportunity to kill all the n, and let the won escape as a ruse," Song Gao instructed.

These past days, they had done their howork, had thoroughly investigated Yunqian’s background, knew his details, and had secretly tracked his movents. The opportunity today was rare, and if well executed, it could help their master resolve this big trouble.

After hearing this, the two nodded. There seed to be no other choice; otherwise, they really wouldn’t be able to return and report to their master.

The four imdiately dispersed and plunged into the jungle.

Yunqian picked an excellent spot and had Zheng Nianru observe it. The view was impeccable, offering vistas of the mountain scenery and half of Zheng Capital, which made Zheng Nianru sowhat contemplative.

In her previous life, everything she did never left that half-circle she was confined in. Her vision was limited to what was imdiately before her. If she were to stand on this high mountain and look down at Qishun Building that once confined her, she couldn’t see even a shadow of it now, and the entire Imperial Palace seed just an inch away.

Nanny Yun considerately fetched a cloak and draped it over Zheng Nianru’s shoulders. Xing Yu rubbed her hands together; it was indeed a bit cold, then she dug out a coat from her bundle and handed it to Nanny Yun.

The scenery on this mountain was splendid, but the temperature had also dropped considerably. Yunqian felt sowhat apologetic for not considering this sooner.

"This is really nice—" Zheng Nianru said sincerely, a slight smile brightening up the world around her.

Yunqian felt a slight stir in his heart, turned his head, and pointed toward the dark horizon in the distance.

"Over there is Qiyu Mountain, higher than Weixing Mountain. South of Qiyu Mountain, there are no taller mountains, and the mountains are more graceful. But what’s even better is that there’s water. With mountains and water together, the scenery is even more magnificent."

"What about the north?" Zheng Nianru looked northward.

She knew about the west, having been there before.

"The north has many high mountains. In our Northwest Border, there are many tall mountains, among them six are particularly famous. The terrain undulates, and climbing them would take several days," Yunqian explained, not sure why he was saying so much, as usually the won of the household showed little interest in such matters, though the woman by his side seed quite intrigued.

"It seems there aren’t many mountains in the west—" Zheng Nianru mused.

Yunqian was slightly surprised at her comnt but nodded. Not having traveled there didn’t an she hadn’t read about these places.

"To the west, beyond the mountains bordering Nann State, indeed, there aren’t many. But it’s not that there are none. Among them, there is one that is quite..."

"Stop, this is a robbery—" Just then, a fierce shout ca from behind. Before Yunqian could turn around, two figures had already charged toward Gu Dao and Xi Feng, who were sitting and resting on the ground.
