Chapter 488: Chapter 488: Your tone of speech sounds like a mistress Chapter 488: Chapter 488: Your tone of speech sounds like a mistress Abigail smiled at her grandfather. “It’s fine. I know how to handle my matters. Lena and Sophie are here today. Have fun and worry less.”

“Hmph,” the old man grunted in dissatisfaction.

Abigail smiled apologetically beside him. Suddenly, her phone beeped. She opened it to see a ssage from the new Facebook friend she added last night. It read, “Co over.”

“?” Abigail sent a question mark. She turned her head to look for Brandon Piers. Not seeing him anywhere, she asked Pullan who had just returned, “How is Mr. Foster?”

Pullan stiffened but reluctantly answered, “Master Brandon sent him to the hospital.”

“That serious?” Abigail frowned.

The old man heard. “Hmph, just a trick!”

“Where’s your Master Brandon?” Abigail ignored the old man and continued to ask Pullan.

“Waiting for you in the study,” Pullan answered and then gave Abigail a ‘good luck’ look.

Abigail, “… Huh?”

Pullan crossed his arms, his expression serious, and refused to say another word.

Abigail held her forehead, glanced at the main house, and hesitated whether to go over. Lena Locke and Sally Hood, both soaking wet, ran over. “Abigail, Abigail, co play with us!”

“Yeah, yeah, co play. Hey, where is Mr. Foster?” Sally Hood looked around, not finding Jeffrey Foster, and asked regretfully.

“Mr. Foster had sothing urgent and left early,” Abigail casually fabricated an excuse.

At this mont, Lena Locke saw the grumpy old man and cheerfully shouted, “Master!”

The old man flinched. “Why shout so loud? I’m not deaf.”

“Hahaha, calling you this way makes feel like a beloved apprentice in a kung fu drama,” Lena Locke laughed. Then she saw Pullan standing straight like a pole beside them and asked happily, “Brother Pullan, you are here too. Co play with us!”

“Sorry, Miss Locke, I still have work to do,” Pullan said, his tone subconsciously softening as he looked at the charming girl.

“Oh, I see,” Lena Locke said regretfully. She looked at Abigail and her grandfather, “Shall we go catch fish? They caught quite a few, and there are crabs too!”

ntioning these, Lena Locke’s eyes sparkled.

Sally Hood nodded vigorously beside her.

Abigail was about to refuse, but the usually grumpy old man surprisingly took a step forward. “Let’s go.”

“Yay!” The girls jumped happily, pulling Abigail and the old man towards the lake.

Abigail found it hard to decline and reluctantly followed.

Last ti Abigail tried to catch fish, she failed and felt unsatisfied. Now, upon approaching the lake, she saw a few boys had already caught half a bucket of fish and three crabs. Suddenly, her interest was piqued again.

The old man joined for fun, sitting and directing from the side. Soon, the lakeside beca even more lively.

But Pullan was not that happy. Watching his young mistress and everyone in joyful spirits, he turned back to look at the main house with difficulty, silently praying that Master Brandon would not bla him.

As for Abigail, she initially kept thinking about Brandon Piers. But as she played, she completely forgot about the charming man at ho, blending effortlessly among the girls, completely forgetting her earlier thoughts about age.

Finally, the group handed over the caught fish and crabs to Housekeeper Piers to process. In the afternoon, they set up a grill to taste their hard-earned catch, feeling extrely joyful.

Plus, with the ingredients prepared by Housekeeper Piers, including Hokkaido salmon, sole fish, fresh Australian lobsters, and newly slaughtered roast lamb, everyone was exclaiming in delight.

Amidst the laughter and the rich aroma of food, everyone had a great ti and ate happily.

Especially Ralf, who stuffed his belly round and didn’t forget to feed Wilson Jasper nearby.

Sophie Hope was also dragged for a barbecue by Lena Locke and others, with a five-star chef guiding beside them.

Davis Hudson, usually a pampered young master, also turned into a laborer for the girls today.

When everyone had almost enough, maids in maid uniforms lined up with various desserts, making many students’ eyes widen.

“Gulp.” Already stuffed, Ralf swallowed. “So much, can we take so ho?”

“Shaless,” Sally Hood teased him.

Abigail nodded. “Sure, I’ll ask the kitchen to prepare a serving for each of you to take back to school for late-night snacks.”

“Wow, fantastic!” Everyone cheered.

Lena Locke couldn’t help but lean to Abigail’s ear. “Abigail, the way you spoke just now really sounded like a hostess.”

Abigail awkwardly smiled. “No way.”

“I think so too,” Wilson Jasper, usually quiet, added in a low voice.

Abigail hastily stuffed a piece of cake into his mouth.

Wilson Jasper mumbled, unable to speak, causing everyone else to laugh.

Just then, Sally Hood suddenly stared still in one direction.

Everyone found it strange and turned to look. They saw Brandon Piers in a black tailcoat, looking noble and gentlemanly like a duke from the last century. He elegantly approached and greeted everyone as a typical host would, asking if they enjoyed the food.

Abigail stared at the man, unable to take her eyes off him, while everyone else responded chanically to his questions with only nods and shakes.

When he left, everyone ca to their senses and realized that Master Brandon had greeted them!

“Ah, my life is complete!” Sally Hood exclaid just as Jeffrey Foster’s back disappeared from view. Other girls also scread along.

Even the boys felt honored today.

But after coming to her senses, Abigail couldn’t help but shiver, feeling that last glance from the man before he left was particularly creepy.

Finally rembering that the man had asked her to co over this morning, she had completely forgotten.

For a mont, Abigail held her phone, trembling slightly, and sent him a ssage. “Is it still in ti if I co over now?”

Unfortunately, the ssage received no response, like a stone sinking into the sea.

Looking up, Abigail saw her classmates full of excitent. She could only suppress the urge to rush back to the house and see everyone off.

Housekeeper Piers was very considerate. Not only did he pack a serving of desserts for each person, but also a bottle of wine with the Moon Lake Manor logo.

Everyone, carrying gifts, got onto the shuttle and arrived at the entrance of Moon Lake Manor. Before they could get off, they heard a commotion.

The group curiously looked over. Who dared to cause trouble at Moon Lake Manor?

Getting closer, they found out it was Celia Agatha causing trouble.

“Why won’t you let in? My classmates are all inside. You can ask them!” Celia Agatha had explained countless tis, but the guards only said they’d check. Yet ti had passed, and they hadn’t checked. Unwilling to leave like this, she kept insisting.

Initially, her taxi followed the others closely, but about two or three kiloters from the mansion, it was stopped. Celia Agatha had to get out and walk in her eight-centiter-high heels, only to be refused entry upon arrival.

How could she be willing to accept this?

Just as she was about to argue again, a guard pointed behind her, “Are those your classmates?”

Celia Agatha hurriedly turned back!
