Chapter 457: Chapter 457 Cute as a Teacup Dog Chapter 457: Chapter 457 Cute as a Teacup Dog Second-year coursework wasn’t heavy.

Also, although they had chosen their specialties, there wasn’t much difference in the course content; mainly, there were differences in class hours.

Abigail, Lena, and Sophie were all in clinical dicine, so most of their courses overlapped.

Lena was particularly happy, and Abigail thought it was nice too, while Sophie tossed her cool short hair.

In the afternoon, Abigail went to the classroom but didn’t see Jeffrey Foster, and she secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

But without Jeffrey around, Abigail had to accept a wave of enthusiastic greetings from her classmates. This ti, she firmly prohibited any physical contact, and finally, no one touched her.

Abigail shook her head with lingering fear, truly feeling the passion of these young boys and girls.

At this mont, Wilson poked her.

Abigail turned her head to look at the shy boy beside her and sighed, “Didn’t I say it’s useless?”

“That’s not what I ant. Are you joining this?” Wilson pointed to the form in his hand.

Abigail glanced at it and saw it was the country’s annual dical Technology Skills Competition for college students. The winning team could receive a generous cash prize, and if they perford exceptionally well, they might even beco mbers of the dical School Research Institute.

“I’m not interested.” To Abigail, this college dical skills competition was like child’s play. As an adult, she couldn’t bring herself to participate; it was simply unfair.

But after she said that, Wilson seed a bit disappointed, assuming Abigail wasn’t all that capable either.

Abigail didn’t pay much attention and opened the newly distributed textbook. It was all basic stuff, so she stuffed it into her backpack without noticing Duncan Symons sitting nearby, who overheard their conversation.

She had taken money and gifts from her cousin. Though she was still afraid of Abigail, her desire and hatred overca her reason. She decided that since the old thod didn’t work, she would have to use her wits.

This was a good opportunity.

Abigail Green didn’t dare to participate in the college dical skills competition. Did that an she wasn’t very capable? Her reluctance to compete must be because she was afraid of losing.

Now everyone knew that Abigail, the plump girl, was Old Mr. Smith’s apprentice. If Abigail made a fool of herself in the competition or failed to win any prizes, Old Mr. Smith would be very embarrassed.

With Old Mr. Smith losing face, given his quirky temper, he might just kick Abigail out.

This way, without Duncan lifting a finger, she would also have an explanation for her cousin.

Duncan thought for a mont and then glanced at Wilson, Ralf Harvey, and Lena Locke.

Everyone knew Ralf was a preacher. He couldn’t even catch a rabbit during anatomy class. As for Lena, the typical beautiful young lady, she was flighty and had the worst grades. Wilson was a diligent student, but unfortunately, he fainted at the sight of blood. He didn’t even pass last year’s anatomy class and had to retake it. Together with Abigail, this group signing up for the competition was simply a dream team.

With this thought, Duncan smiled smugly.

As a class committee mber, these little moves were easy.

After everyone finished filling out the registration forms, Duncan pretended to collect them and then personally delivered them to the counselor.

Abigail wasn’t really paying attention in class. Considering Duncan had been taught a lesson in the morning, she figured he wouldn’t be causing any trouble anyti soon, so she didn’t give it much thought. She didn’t realize that while appearing well-behaved on the surface, Duncan had already started scheming again behind her back.

She thought for a long ti, feeling that she couldn’t just leave this matter to Brandon.

Brandon was only investigating issues related to the senior students and the Piers family’s third uncle, which had no deep connection to Abigail. She hadn’t planned on telling him about her rebirth anyway.

Rather than seeking Brandon’s help, it would be better to hire a private detective for a covert investigation.

Speaking of detectives, Abigail thought of Benjamin Jones.

She knew Benjamin wasn’t only a famous top lawyer in Swallow City but also had a very powerful underground detective agency. As long as the price was high enough, they could investigate anonymously.

With this thought, Abigail felt a bit more at ease.

The last class was clinical psychology. Abigail finally snapped back to reality and started listening to the lecture.

At four thirty, class ended. Abigail packed her things and returned to the dorm to wait for Pullan to pick her up.

Lena then found out Abigail didn’t live on campus and looked a bit disappointed. “Won’t you reconsider? We could study together!”

“Things are busy at ho. I need to help out.” Abigail glanced at the beddings Duncan had changed for her, thinking that girls were still girls, easily frightened.

“Is that so…” Lena was reluctant.

“Why do you still need to help at ho in college? Doesn’t the second young master cover your tuition?” Duncan probed, really curious about what Abigail’s family did.

“None of your business!” Lena replied cautiously, seeing Duncan suddenly intruding and interrupting, and then she looked at Sophie. “Sophie, let’s go study at Old Mr. Smith’s place with Abigail.”

“Alright.” Sophie packed her things and grabbed her shoulder bag.

Abigail hadn’t expected that going to her grandfather’s would beco her perfect excuse for not joining study sessions, and no one could argue.

She amusingly patted Lena’s head. “Thanks. Let’s go.”

The three of them left the dormitory. Watching their retreating figures, Duncan fud, “What’s the big deal? You think you’re sothing just because you have that old geezer as your master? We’ll see how embarrassed you all are when you lose the competition!”

The girls accompanied Abigail to the intersection outside the school, where Lena first spotted the tall and sturdy Pullan. Happily, she pulled Abigail forward. “Pullan, you’re here to pick up Abigail. You’re so kind.”

Pullan was given another NoThankYou-Card, scratching his head awkwardly. “It’s alright.”

Lena didn’t pay attention to what he said. Like a puppy, she sniffed the air. “Pullan, what’s that sll on you?”

Abigail also caught the scent and, with her keener sense of sll, already understood.

Pullan looked down at himself. “What sll?” n were supposed to sll like n, right?

“Let check again.” Lena moved closer to Pullan’s clothes. With her small fra next to his, the contrast was quite adorable.

Abigail thought Pullan could lift Lena with just one finger.

Pullan was taken aback by the girl’s curiosity, suddenly moving closer. His nerves tightened. Except for elentary school, he had never been so close to a girl before, almost feeling her press against him. Glancing down, he noticed the girl’s small, fair face, no bigger than his palm, like a teacup Poranian—adorable and fragile.

“Wow, I know what it is. It’s the sll of grass!” Just as Pullan thought his nerve would break, the girl took a step back, proudly announcing.

Pullan was dumbfounded and then nodded awkwardly. “I mowed the lawn all afternoon. I already showered. Can you still sll it?”

“Yes, and it slls nice too.” Lena said cheerfully.

Pullan initially felt embarrassed about having a noticeable scent, but after the girl’s complint, a faint red spread over his tanned skin.

Abigail suddenly thought these two made quite a cute couple.
