Chapter 361: Chapter 361: I’m Not Your Daughter (Part 2)

Abigail didn’t pay attention to Lincoln Green’s reaction and continued on her own.

“I was eighteen when they confined to a village in the suburbs, treating like a pig, beating and feeding . Of course, they fattened up like a pig too. Actually, I knew their intention. They wanted the child in my belly but didn’t want to live.”

“Abigail, stop talking!” Lincoln Green cried out in pain.

Abigail smiled at him slightly. Words were really limited in what they could convey.

Those desperate, sorrowful, and dark days, the parts that were spoken about, were the least significant. But the person in front of her could no longer bear it.

What about the person who had actually gone through all of this?

Imrsed in Abigail Green’s mories, Abigail felt as if she had rged with her.

Abigail Green’s pain was also her pain. They shared mories. Her past had beco her own. When the mory returned to April 8th, Abigail’s forehead broke out in a fine layer of cold sweat, her body trembled lightly from the pain, but she didn’t stop. “Because I was overweight, the child couldn’t be born for a long ti. They bribed i An’s gynecologist, who gave three labor-inducing injections in quick succession. In the end, because the baby’s heart rate was unstable, they had to perform an ergency C-section. But the anesthesiologist was busy, so…”

Speaking of this, Abigail smiled bitterly at Lincoln Green again.

“So they perford the C-section on without anesthesia.”

Lincoln Green was pricked by Abigail’s smile. Hearing her words, he felt a chill all over his body, shivering. His chest ached, making it hard to breathe, and he murmured, “Abigail…” “Was it very painful? Was it hard to believe this was real? Your gentle and kind wife, your obedient and outstanding stepdaughter, were actually torturing your biological daughter behind your back, and you knew nothing.”

You knew nothing!

“I, I…” Lincoln Green couldn’t make a sound because of the pain.

Abigail took a deep breath, trying to pull herself out of Abigail Green’s mories, as if a drowning person finally broke through the surface. But her face was still pale.

It took a while for Abigail to feel like she was alive again. She looked steadily at the elderly man on the hospital bed, who was crying. Regret often ca too late and was often of no help.

At least it was useless for Abigail Green.

After a long silence, Abigail spoke to the person on the bed in her own voice, “But actually, what I want to tell you today is more than that.”

Lincoln Green’s heart tightened. Wasn’t this enough? Did they do even more outrageous things?

“Abigail, it’s all my fault, my fault. I’m sorry, it’s my fault!” Lincoln Green clutched at his chest, wishing he could kneel down.

“You didn’t wrong .”

“Abigail, I…”

Abigail interrupted him. “You should apologize to Abigail Green, not to .”

“Abigail, I know you’re angry at . You don’t have to say any more. I’ll make it up to you, Abigail…” Lincoln Green lowered his head and sobbed.

But Abigail just looked coldly at the middle-aged man curled up on the hospital bed, suffering even more from regret, her voice cold and distant. “I’m not joking with you. Everything I’ve just said is indeed what your daughter went through. But I am not her. She died in agony on the delivery bed on April 8th after giving birth to George Piers, and after she died, her body lay in a pool of blood for more than half an hour, unattended.”

“Abigail…”

“Believe it or not, I am a wandering soul that entered her body after her death. So your daughter is dead, truly dead. And you are the first person in this world to know she is dead. I felt it necessary to tell you that your daughter died, in pain, due to your indirect indulgence and apathy.” Abigail emphasized the last three words. She wanted to make this foolish man understand what he had done.

She had planned this scene for a long ti.

She wanted this self-righteous man to know what he had lost.

“Abigail, listen to . I know you hate , but you don’t have to make this up. I know your heart died then. I know I was wrong. Don’t scare …” Lincoln Green couldn’t believe it. His heart, however, was filled with panic, thinking of his daughter’s changes these days, but he couldn’t accept it, so he kept shaking his head.

“Whether I’ve scared you or not, you know it well. As Abigail Green’s father, you should feel whether I am your daughter or not.” Abigail cut off Lincoln Green’s useless rambling.

Lincoln Green wanted to say sothing more. But seeing the unfamiliar look in Abigail’s eyes, he suddenly fell silent.

Rembering how his daughter had drastically changed lately, he’d noticed sothing before but had dismissed it, thinking that she was being maliciously influenced by Aunt Claudia. He had never considered anything else, and anyway, how could his daughter not be his daughter?

But Abigail’s words made him realize that, despite the absurdity, it could be true.

His Abigail was already dead, killed by that mother and daughter, as the person in front of him said, died in agony on the delivery bed.

Although Lincoln Green had hated his daughter all these years, he had never wanted her dead.

Now that he knew the truth, it felt as if his heart had been dug out. Regret and self-bla mingled with uncontrollable heartache.

When Abigail was first born, he had loved her.

At that ti, his relationship with Minnie was good, and the company was on track. His daughter’s arrival was the icing on the cake. He looked forward to each day, filled with hope for the future.

When his daughter was born, he held her in his hand, a tiny, soft, and beautiful little person who occupied his whole heart.

The three of them were so happy together then. It was the warm mory that he could never forget in his life.

Back then, they had one big treasure and one little treasure. Both were his precious gems.

But everything changed completely after Minnie’s death.

His heart was filled with regret and later he vented his anger onto his daughter.

Lincoln Green did not know if ti could heal everyone’s pain. But he was certain that the pain eventually left a rift between him and his daughter. When Taylor and her daughter entered the Green family, the rift gradually widened into a chasm.

Thinking of all this, Lincoln Green moaned in pain.

Abigail, however, coldly observed his pain and said calmly, “If you ever thought your daughter killed her mother, your wife, and it made you hate her until now, then she has died. Her death was an atonent for your wife’s death. But what about your promise to your deceased wife? Did you fulfill it?”

Minnie Swift was such a good woman, but unfortunately, she married such a foolish man!

After speaking, Abigail let out a deep breath, ignoring Lincoln Green’s condition, and turned to leave the ward.

“Ah…”

As Abigail walked out, she heard a sudden agonizing howl from behind her, like the mournful cry of a dying eagle, filled with unresolved pain.

Abigail closed her eyes deeply and when she opened them again, there was still a thin layer of coldness in them.
