Chapter 274: Chapter 274: Let Them Dog-eat-dog
Piers’ Mansion.
While at the hospital, Brandon Piers received electromagnetic wave treatnts. After the stitches were removed and he returned ho, Abigail Green prescribed so secret Smith family broths to promote bone healing.
She also gave the kitchen a list of ingredients, noting what should not be eaten to avoid exacerbating his wounds while supplenting nutrients.
After more than twenty days, Brandon Piers’ wound had healed well, and he could move as usual. However, he still couldn’t engage in strenuous activities.
With nothing to do, Brandon Piers sat in the morning sunlight, watching Abigail Green lead a group of middle-aged and older people practicing Tai Chi in the courtyard below. It looked as if they had turned the open space on the first floor into a square.
And Abigail was leading the square dance.
...
Beside them, Kelly was pushing Teddy around to watch, while Pullan was sent down to trim the nearby flower beds.
Watching this highly uncoordinated group of people who created the warst corner, Brandon couldn’t believe this was once the elegant, ancient-style garden.
However, Brandon found himself not resisting the change at all. Occasionally, his gaze would naturally fall on Abigail Green. The little chubby had beco more tasteful and had a very special aura. Standing next to the long-standing old master, she did not lose any charm.
“Second Young Master.” Kelvin Max couldn’t help but softly call out while reporting work, unsure if what he had just reported had been heard.
Brandon ca to his senses. “Oh, continue.”
“Last night, Adam Piers set up a ga, and Ruby Green was there. He revealed to Ruby that Lincoln Green holds 5% of Piers’ shares,” Kelvin continued to report.
Brandon raised an eyebrow. “Looks like Lincoln Green is in trouble.”
“Shall we remind the young mistress?” Kelvin, sharper than Pullan, started addressing Abigail as “Young Mistress” after the engagent party.
“I’ll handle it. Keep an eye on that mother and daughter duo. First, determine what Lincoln Green plans to do, then decide,” Brandon said. He always found Lincoln Green very strange; why hadn’t he moved those shares?
Kelvin respectfully nodded and continued, “Ruby has found Mona Wilde.”
“Hmm, let them have a good dogfight. Has Uncle Piers returned to Swallow City yet? Is he waiting for to die?” Brandon thought of Oliver Piers, a smile on his lips but coldness in his eyes.
How was Kelvin supposed to answer that?
“Uncle Piers went to Sincere Hospital and only saw Dean Foster. However, after he left, Dean Foster looked very upset. I worry they might collaborate.” When ntioning Jeffrey Foster, Kelvin felt displeased, as it was Foster’s expert team that leaked Brandon’s whereabouts.
“I got it.” ntioning Jeffrey again, Brandon’s gaze fell once more on Abigail downstairs. He wasn’t sure if it was his imagination, but he felt there was sothing between Abigail and Jeffrey. Yet, the tiline showed they had no interactions.
And does Abigail know Dr. Smith?
Why wasn’t this in his investigation? Abigail ntioned that Dr. Smith had helped her before, while Jeffrey had exclaid “sister” in surprise when checking his wound last ti, only to deny it after confirming again.
Back then, Dr. Smith was the only one in the country, even the world, capable of performing his surgery. Yet Abigail had successfully operated on him now.
Previously, Abigail was introduced as a dical student from Swallow University, but he knew the truth. Abigail spent her freshman year in Gills City pregnant. Her prior records were ordinary; how did she suddenly beco a dical genius?
Even surpassing Jeffrey Foster.
This isn’t scientific!
Did he miss sothing?
“Second Young Master…” Kelvin found it challenging, noticing Brandon staring at Abigail again. Could the rumors be true; was Brandon really infatuated with the chubby girl? This preference… he couldn’t respect it.
