Chapter 198: Chapter 198 You are Brandon’s Lucky Star
Jas Carter’s excitent was completely understandable to Brandon Piers, but he had no intention of explaining.
“Explain my health condition to Elder Piers.” As Brandon’s private doctor, Jas had earned the elder’s trust.
Having Jas explain Brandon’s health condition would be more credible and also help to calm Jas down.
Sure enough, as soon as Brandon finished speaking, Jas realized that although the situation was incredible, eliminating all impossibilities left the most improbable thing as the truth.
As Brandon’s private doctor, although he hadn’t participated in the surgery, he had personally witnessed Dean Foster being taken away after opening Brandon’s chest, leaving only Brandon and the live blood donor in the lab.
Now that Brandon’s heart function had returned to normal, it was certain that it couldn’t have healed itself.
But at the ti, the only one closing his chest was Abigail Green, a chubby girl not yet nineteen, a freshman who hadn’t even graduated from dical school.
But how was that possible?
Dean Foster had brought so many experts, and none dared to guarantee the success rate of the surgery, but the girl in front of him…
Jas took a deep breath. He understood what Brandon ant, also knew that no matter how unbelievable, facts were laid out in front of him. After pondering, he explained Brandon’s condition to Elder Piers.
“The surgery on Master Brandon was very successful. He is currently recovering well, with no complications. With proper rest, he will be as good as new.” After saying this, Jas found himself involuntarily looking again at Abigail. “How… did you do it?”
Abigail had originally planned to participate in a dical skills competition to prove herself to Brandon. But as things progressed, she realized that playing down her abilities suited her better than showing off, so she deliberately laughed naively after Jas asked the question. “It was probably just good luck?”
Jas, “…”
Master Brandon’s open-heart surgery wasn’t actually that difficult. The major difficulty lay in the sewing technique required and the rarity of the panda blood type, which could easily lead to massive bleeding during surgery and an irreversible situation.
But it’s also possible that destiny favored them, and the surgery went smoothly without any mishaps.
Even so, Abigail, as a d student, was pretty impressive. Luck was also part of strength. So, she muddled through the surgery and even succeeded?
Looking at Abigail’s chubby face, Jas forced himself to believe her words.
anwhile, Elder Piers, after listening to Jas’ analysis and then questioning Abigail, couldn’t help but voice, “So, Brandon’s alright now?”
“Yes, congratulations, Elder Piers.” Adjusting his mindset, Jas’ tone returned to its usual intonation, but if you listened carefully, there was still a hint of disbelief.
After all, he had been in the dical field for over twenty years. He had no way to ensure Brandon’s surgery’s success, so he suggested Brandon seek out Jeffrey Foster. He hadn’t expected a kid to succeed where a group of experts failed.
“That’s good, that’s good.” Elder Piers was overjoyed. Though he was also astonished by Abigail’s talent and abilities, as a non-professional, he couldn’t fully comprehend Jas’ frustration. His face was full of joy. When he finished speaking, he even held Abigail’s hand. “Abigail, you’re Brandon’s lucky star! You gave him a chubby son and saved his life. That’s wonderful!”
Abigail looked at the excited Elder Piers and cast a pleading glance at Brandon.
Brandon, however, seed not to notice, his lips curving in a mischievous smile. He no longer looked as distressed and pale as he did when getting on the ambulance; instead, he appeared more handso and captivating.
Abigail glared fiercely at the gloating man and awkwardly responded to Elder Piers’ enthusiasm, “It’s nothing, really.”
Brandon’s mouth twitched. What did she an “it’s nothing”?
Was it “nothing” to save his life, or “nothing” to bear him a child? Idiot!
