Chapter 124: Chapter 124: Earth-shattering News!

“Excuse , are you Miss Green?”

“Yes, I am. These two are patients.” Before Abigail could make out Pullan’s ever-changing emotions, the dical staff from the city center had already arrived.

Abigail responded, and the doctor in charge glanced at the two people on the gurney, wondering why in such severe conditions they were not admitted directly to Sincere Hospital.

“Sincere is currently holding a dical competition, and we couldn’t find any doctors. Please hurry and get them to ergency care.” As if guessing the paradics’ thoughts, Abigail urged.

The staff wasted no ti and quickly lifted Brandon Piers and Sophia Patel onto the ambulance, administering oxygen to both.

Abigail and Pullan got into the vehicle together.

With oxygen supplied, Brandon’s breathing eased a bit, but his whole face remained frighteningly pale.

Pullan hung his head, saying nothing.

Abigail had knelt for a three-hour surgery and then engaged in a battle of wits with two groups of people. Her post-pregnancy body, less than a hundred days after childbirth, ached unbearably. Yet the cramped ambulance left her no choice but to almost crouch, feeling utterly wretched.

Being too fat was indeed not good.

Inside the ambulance, the EMT quickly noticed that Brandon had undergone open-heart surgery. He looked incredulously at the two. “Who perford his surgery? When was it done? Transferring him now is reckless!”

“This is the second son of the Piers Group. Just at Sincere Hospital, his primary doctor, Dean Foster, was taken hostage. The entire Sincere Hospital isn’t safe, so we called for the city hospital ambulance. Please save them.” Since she was already in the vehicle, Abigail saw no need to lie, believing the police would soon investigate the matter.

The two paradics exchanged glances, clearly not expecting such a ss. They had only received an ergency call, not thinking beyond the fact that Sincere Hospital was holding a dical competition and had turned away patients, not realizing they would be caught in such a perilous situation.

And what had they just heard, Dean Foster had been taken hostage?

What an earth-shattering piece of news!

“It truly was Dean Foster; the stitching on this wound is excellent.” One of the doctors admired the sutures on Brandon’s chest, acknowledging the chief of cardiovascular surgery’s work.

Pullan was stunned and instinctively glanced at Abigail, who ignored him and smiled at the two doctors. “Yes, we’re fortunate that you arrived in ti. Otherwise, they might have taken Mr. Piers away, and Dr. Foster’s efforts would have been in vain.”

“It’s our duty; we must.” Despite their words, the doctors’ faces softened considerably with the complint. Since Dean Foster had already successfully operated, transferring Mr. Piers to the city center hospital would likely not incur any bla.

Additionally, they might now owe the hospital gratitude.

Everyone knew the Piers family was extraordinarily wealthy, and this Mr. Piers was particularly generous. If he woke and decided to invest in the city hospital, the doctors’ benefits might finally be able to compare with those at Sincere.

Considering this, their enthusiasm increased significantly.

Pullan couldn’t understand Abigail’s intent, but he felt no inclination to ask about the details. His mind was consud with Abigail’s words to Thompson Taylor—she rely stitched up the wound but didn’t perform the heart surgery. Brandon Piers’s death was just a matter of ti.

Previously, he had wildly fantasized; Abigail Green was rely a freshman dical student without formal dical credentials. How could she possibly perform Brandon Piers’s heart surgery!

Let alone such a dangerous cardiac operation—nationwide, only Dr. Jeffrey Foster had a seventy percent chance of success. Yet he had naively thought, seeing the sutures on Brandon’s chest in the lab, that Abigail had operated on him.

It was absurd even to imagine; Dean Foster needed several cardiothoracic surgeons to assist, so how could Abigail, a dical student, successfully perform surgery on Mr. Piers?

The more Pullan thought, the redder his eyes grew.
