Bertha Swift blushed slightly. The voice was consistently calm yet sohow Adam sensed a hint of schadenfreude. His brows tightened, “Is sothing wrong?”
“No,” lanie replied.
Then Kelly asked, “Is it Bertha’s boyfriend calling? Let speak.”
Adam found it odd, given lanie said nothing was wrong, why was Bertha leaving in the camper, not waiting for him?
Fortunately, another voice ca through, soon Adam heard Kelly’s professional yet serious tone, “Are you Bertha’s boyfriend?”
Adam paused, then replied, “Yes, I am.”
“I’m Bertha’s agent, Kelly. May I know your surna?” As Kelly asked, she saw Bertha covering her face in the distance, Joy Polly looking at her with horror, while lanie appeared the calst, reclining half of her body onto the seat, seemingly watching a show.
A fleeting doubt crossed Kelly’s mind, but she quickly heard a surna reported from the other end, she hadn’t clearly caught it but didn’t care about his family na, continuing at her own pace, saying,
“I don’t oppose Bertha’s dating, but I also hope you understand certain things—Bertha is a public figure with limitless potential. As her boyfriend, you should recognize her value and protect her well. While I don’t know what happened last ti, as a man allowing your girlfriend to lose control and find you, do you think that was appropriate?”
