Mary Scott frowned as she finished reading Jocelyn Spencer’s resu, and she slightly understood why Adam Piers had included her as a candidate.

Yet in her job application, she repeatedly emphasized that she is an agent who wholeheartedly considers artists’ long-term interests and left Starlight Entertainnt due to a disagreent with the boss.
“Nonsense!” Mary Scott exclaid disdainfully after reading through Jocelyn’s application.
David Locke was just finishing stir-frying the last dish when he heard his lovely and gentle wife cursing, so he curiously ca over, “Who made my wife angry?”
“How dare you ask ! Jocelyn’s resu is in this batch of candidates, and you didn’t remove it imdiately.” Mary turned to accuse David, then muttered about Adam, “What’s wrong with Adam’s people? How dare they include such a scumbag, is he trying to sabotage Bertha?”
“What nonsense are you talking! These few resus were just sent to by Assistant Leighton, I haven’t had a chance to look at them yet. As for Ray Leighton including Jocelyn, it’s likely he was dazzled by her flowery resu. Don’t worry, she won’t get through.” David replied nonchalantly, patting Mary’s head.
Mary’s mood improved a little, “That’s alright then, but you should really carefully screen for Bertha, so nothing else slips through.”
“Yes, ma’am!” David deliberately replied.
Mary found it amusing and poked David’s shoulder, “Don’t be silly, be serious.”
“I’m serious, but you do seem to care a lot about Bertha. I see you chatting with her whenever you have ti, yet sotis you don’t even reply to my ssages.” David sounded slightly resentful.
Since Mary joined the crew, her ti had been limited, and she divided her already scarce ti among several things, leaving little ti for him.
“Really? Hehe, we won naturally have more to chat about.” Mary giggled and responded nonchalantly.
Unable to help himself, David squeezed Mary’s cheek a bit forcefully, “You’ve got quite the nerve, haven’t you?”
“What do you an, David? You’re not jealous of Bertha, are you? We’re just friends, and besides, I’m spending every evening with you.” Mary playfully whined.
David glanced at her guilty face and pinched her cheek again, “Let’s eat first, then I’ll deal with you.”
Mary widened her dewy, doe-like eyes, did he just say he’s going to deal with her? This man is too much!
But Mary was quickly distracted by the food in the kitchen, and rushed off to help David with dinner.
Originally, they had three dishes and a soup, but because of Mary’s earlier mishap burning a dish, it ended up as two dishes and a soup. Luckily, it was just the two of them, so it was enough.
Mary, scared David would really settle scores with her later, sweet-talked him by lavishly praising each of his dishes, almost as if these dishes were heavenly cuisine rarely seen on earth.
In the end, it was David who couldn’t handle the flattery and called for a stop, to which Mary pouted slightly, “I ant it, compared to the food at our crew, your cooking really is divine.”
David, who was sowhat embarrassed by Mary’s praise, realized when she compared his cooking to the crew’s current als.
Unlike during “The Doctors,” where Adam allotted funds for Bertha to improve als, benefiting the whole crew, Mary’s current production was a big one with a tight budget, forcing savings in many areas. Mary didn’t want soone like that to spoil their dining atmosphere and quickly changed the topic, “Is it true that Adam and the second master had a falling out?”
“No idea, with Adam’s temper, who wouldn’t he offend?” David replied casually, not delving deeper into the subject.
“True, but what will Bertha do? She’s currently an artist under Piers, and if Adam resigns from Piers, won’t her situation beco difficult?” Mary worried.
“Instead of worrying about another man’s woman, why not worry about your own man?” David’s gaze landed on Mary with a hint of dissatisfaction.

Despite her internal grumbling, Mary stopped the topic, but even so, she still couldn’t avoid David’s reckoning that night. If it weren’t for him taking into account her heavy scenes the next day, who knows how harsh he’d be.
Even though it was busy, David sent a list to Ray the next day.
Ray checked David’s picks and re-investigated their backgrounds, ensuring no issues before passing the list on to Adam.
Adam didn’t go to the company today, not only that, he actually signed himself up for a cooking class.
Not only did he sign up for himself, he also invited David and Noel to join him.
If it weren’t for yesterday’s fallout with Brandon, he actually wanted to invite Brandon as well.
Despite this, when he sent the invitation to the group, it shocked everyone else, especially Noel who’s still maintaining his single persona.
He was stunned!
He couldn’t imagine Adam, who is so out of sorts, would actually sign up for a cooking class. He couldn’t help but sent a string of question marks in the group, eventually exaggerating and asking, “Why don’t you go sign up for a n’s virtue class instead?”
“No need for that, I’m the most virtuous guy, if you don’t believe , you can ask my girlfriend,” Adam said proudly.
Noel was speechless, did soone cast a love potion on this guy?
But Adam completely ignored him and ntioned David, “Are you signing up or not? There’s a discount for two people. My girlfriend says soone kicked out of the company, so she’s going to support from now on, but making money isn’t easy for her, I need to save money for her.”
Not only Noel, everyone else was taken aback, does this guy have any sha?
Even Brandon, who glanced at the group ssage amidst his busyness, couldn’t help but twitch his mouth. He’s seen shaless people, but never this brazenly shaless!
Luke, who rarely joined in, couldn’t help but send a string of question marks.
Seeing this made Adam even more smug, “Captain Scout, you lifelong single won’t ever understand my joy. David, are you going or not? Give a word, if not, I’ll team up with soone else!”

Noel was also full of disdain, ntioning Adam, “You’re the one with issues, David certainly isn’t. His wife looks gentle, understanding, and like soone who can handle both the household and the kitchen, why would David need to cook? If he’s going with you, I might as well, haha.”

“That’s true. But, what about Bertha? Isn’t she an artist under Piers Entertainnt? If Adam leaves Piers, won’t Bertha have a tough ti from then on?” Mary expressed concern.
