Chapter 101: Chapter 101: Colluding in Disgrace
The nurse who brought her in glanced awkwardly at Abigail. “Miss Green, why don’t you go to the competition group and change a patient? Today’s surgery subjects are all volunteers. We need to respect their wishes.”
Not to ntion the old lady, even the nurse in charge of Abigail was unhappy when she heard that Abigail was just a first-year dical student.
This dical competition was an elimination match, and although not all the participants were industry elites, they were talents selected with great care from local hospitals. But Abigail was simply pushed in by the investors.
If this were just acting, it wouldn’t matter if the investors pushed soone in. At worst, it would hurt everyone’s eyes. But what was a dical competition? It tested true skills, and one wrong move could be fatal.
“Oh.” Abigail naturally knew that doctors and patients needed mutual consent. Considering there were still many reporters outside, persisting would bring negative impacts to the hospital. She nodded. “Then I’ll change to another one.”
Just as Abigail and the others left, the old lady on the bed imdiately changed her expression. She glanced smugly at Abigail and gripped her phone excitedly, thinking about the twenty thousand yuan she had just received. Who would have thought that signing up as a volunteer could not only get her leg treated for free but also make money?
…
In another ward.
Ruby Green laughed triumphantly upon hearing that Abigail had been rejected. “Haha, idiot. She hasn’t even attended dical school and wants to use the Piers’ platform to make herself look good. Does she really think that fat face of hers can stick?”
“That’s why she’s stupid,” Clark Stone sneered in agreent.
“It’s still Clark who found powerful people, but next…” Ruby intentionally stopped midway, looking charmingly at Clark.
Rose Taylor’s leg had mostly recovered, and she was discharged yesterday to help prepare for the engagent. Now, only Ruby and Clark were in the ward. Seeing Ruby’s amorous gaze, Clark leaned forward. “Don’t worry, Ruby. I’ve already sent soone to handle it.”
However, in his heart, he sneered coldly. Did Ruby think he was an idiot? If he killed that fat bitch, how could he arrange an engagent with the Greens? Without the Greens’ connection, how could he beco a relative of the Piers?
But thinking of how Abigail, that fat bitch, gave him no face at the Piers, making him lose face in front of Brandon Piers, how could he possibly let her off easily?
Although he wouldn’t take the fat bitch’s life, there was no problem teaching her a lesson.
Ruby, hearing Clark’s words, smiled more tenderly but her words were extrely malicious. “Then I’ll trouble you, Clark. I hope she doesn’t die too easily.”
As long as Abigail died, she would have no worries. George Piers was her son, and Brandon Piers would be her husband. The Piers’ imnse wealth would all belong to her.
“Don’t worry. As for this project cooperation…” Clark wasn’t working for free; he wanted Lincoln Pharmaceuticals’ dical equipnt contract for the next three years.
“I’ll talk to my dad. Don’t worry. As long as I marry into the Piers, any hospital’s equipnt needs will exceed the Woods Lineage.” Ruby smiled in agreent but scoffed internally at the Stone family’s insatiable greed. Last ti, when she ntioned the Greens’ funding shortage to them, they imdiately went to negotiate with Lincoln Green. Not only did they get involved in the Greens’ project, but they also got Lincoln to agree to a marriage alliance.
Now, while helping her, they still took advantage of the Greens.
But thinking about it, Ruby didn’t mind much. As long as she got engaged to Brandon Piers on the 23rd and smoothly married into the Piers, what did the Greens have to do with her?
