Xiong Kaishuo closed his eyes.

But suddenly, he rembered another key thing.

"Mr. Shi!" Xiong Kaishuo exclaid as if he had grabbed onto a lifeline, "I rember, back then, Tang Wu’s heart was reported in the dia to have been donated to her best friend. That best friend, that’s Bai Yuejie, right?"

Shi Lingyan had just hung up the phone.

When he heard what Xiong Kaishuo said, he paused slightly.

He remained silent.

Overwheld by the strong dicinal effects, Xiong Kaishuo almost collapsed completely, his whole body slumping over as he tried to draw so coolness from the ground.

After feeling slightly better, Xiong Kaishuo hurriedly spoke again, "Don’t you want to know the real cause of Tang Wu’s death?"

Upon hearing Xiong Kaishuo’s words, Shi i paused mid-movent and pricked up her ears.

Shi Lingyan’s expression grew even more tense; ignoring him, he turned and walked away, carrying the small heater in his arms.

Xiong Kaishuo panicked, shouting, "Mr. Shi, I have secrets about Bai Yuejie. Please let go!"

But his voice was too weak to muster any strength, and he could only lay feebly on the ground, "I really know... the cause of Tang Wu’s death..."

"Then tell ," Shi Lingyan stopped in his tracks, his back to Xiong Kaishuo, his voice low, "how did Tang Wu die?"

Xiong Kaishuo brightened up and imdiately said, "It was Bai Yuejie, Bai Yuejie wanted Tang Wu’s heart. She wanted to live, so she killed Tang Wu!"

Upon hearing this, Shi i’s arms around Shi Lingyan’s neck tightened suddenly.

Quietly turning her head, Shi i looked towards Xiong Kaishuo not far away.

That wasn’t right.

It was all wrong.

She knew better than anyone how she died.

She was murdered.

Shot in the head by the man she was holding right now.

Shi i’s breathing beca more rapid, the scorching heat on her body unable to suppress the towering hatred in her heart.

Shi i lowered her head and bit hard into Shi Lingyan’s neck.

Shi Lingyan’s brows knitted in pain as he reached to pry Shi i’s head away.

But she, like a determined little fool, bit down even harder.

Shi Lingyan had to let go, and turning his back to Xiong Kaishuo, he spoke in a soft voice, "You’re saying, her only goal was Tang Wu’s heart?"

"Yes!" Xiong Kaishuo affird with certainty, "She wanted to survive, so she killed Tang Wu!"

Shi Lingyan’s neck was tightly clamped, pain shooting through him, yet he suddenly laughed.

The laughter carried a hint of barely detectable bitterness.

"If Tang’s family had not agreed to donate the heart, Bai Yuejie would still have died," Shi Lingyan spoke softly, "No one can predict their own death."

"But I’m telling the truth!" Xiong Kaishuo’s voice was weak as he struggled desperately for himself one last ti.

Shi Lingyan no longer paid him any attention, striding away with the small heater in his arms.

No one can predict their own death – not Tang Wu, not Bai Yuejie.

Back then, Bai Yuejie’s health was still fairly good. It was only Tang Wu’s sudden collapse that she couldn’t accept, bringing her close to extinction several tis.

He was overseas on a mission at that ti.

When he returned to his country, what he faced was rely a body that had already given up its heart.

And that wedding he had carefully planned for half a year, it died in the womb along with Tang Wu’s departure.

Shi Lingyan carried Shi i into the elevator. With her legs wrapped around his waist, she rubbed against him uncomfortably.

Finally letting go of his neck, she looked at the row of purple bite marks and asked, "Husband, who is Tang Wu?"
