Bai Yuejie lay curled up on the ground, powerless, holding her aching chest, with cold sweat beading densely on her forehead.

"Oh right," just when Bai Yuejie thought the call had ended, Senior Sister’s voice ca through again. She said, "I forgot to tell you, do you know what the biggest thing I have in common with Tang Wu is?"

Bai Yuejie was gasping for breath. When she heard this, her subconscious mind flashed to the lute performance during Grandma Shi’s birthday banquet. Then, Tang Wu’s commanding voice and singing echoed in her head, followed by their remarkably similar personalities. In that instant, all these thoughts flitted through her mind, and Bai Yuejie realized very clearly just how alike Senior Sister and Tang Wu really were.

Senior Sister’s voice paused, seemingly with no intention of waiting for Bai Yuejie’s response, and continued, "Our biggest common point is our good health, we don’t have to kill soone to transplant a heart into our own body. I hope you’re still alive next ti we et, see you~"

Tears mixed with cold sweat streaming down her face, but at this mont, what spread across her face was even more fear.

Her heart contracted violently, as if it were being strangled sharply by a thin fishing line, almost tearing apart.

Bai Yuejie’s face turned ashen as she scread in agony, her whole body trembling.

People outside heard the call for help and had already hurried in. Hearing such a scream, they were terrified beyond recognition. Bai Mu rushed over and, caught off guard, fell to the ground, sobbing loudly, "Yuejie, Yuejie, quick, call the ambulance, get the heart-saving dicine!"

...

After hanging up the phone, Shi i couldn’t help but ’tsk’, "So vicious."

Bai Yuejie had never been particularly strong-hearted. She had already lost all sound just now; who knows if her heart condition might act up.

But having said all that, Shi i felt sowhat refreshed. So things, when they had been pent up in the heart for too long, their release in that mont brought a joy that nothing else could replace.

But having felt refreshed, Shi i beca a little worried that sothing might actually happen to Bai Yuejie. After all, if anything did happen, there was a call record, and if Bai Yuejie really died, Shi Lingyan wouldn’t be able to extricate himself from the situation.

Shi i thought it over and shared her worries with Shi Lingyan.

But Shi Lingyan seed unconcerned, holding her from behind and kissing her cheek, saying, "Forget about her. She loves calling on her own accord; what does that have to do with us?"

His lips road over her neck, lightly brushing her face as his hands slipped into her clothes, touching her smooth and tender skin.

Shi i was set aquiver by his movents, her entire body electrified, as she lifted her face slightly and hugged him with both arms, panting, "What if she really does die? Does that count as intentional injury?"

"No," Shi Lingyan said in a low voice, "It’s ti for us to take a bath."

"You’re not afraid she might actually die?"

"It would be convenient if she died without proof," Shi Lingyan took off her coat, holding her close to his side, "Let’s go, take a bath."

"No, I’m tired," Shi i twisted her neck, her hands reaching back to hold his head, feigning protest, "I’ll shower by myself."

"You just said, we would shower together," Shi Lingyan approached her and kissed her face, his palm roaming beneath her clothes, "Going back on your word?"

Shi i tilted her head, squinting her eyes and let out a low, breathy moan, "Then, let’s do it first and shower later."

Shi Lingyan’s lips curved into a smile, and he flipped over, pinning her beneath him.
