Shi i watched his retreating figure, wanting to speak out, but in the next second, her reason returned first, and ultimately, she said nothing.
Their relationship should have been severed long ago.

After the driver respectfully took them to the restaurant Shi Lingyan had arranged early in the morning, he waited outside.
Shi i was sowhat distracted while eating.
She was drinking the duck soup she had been craving for a long ti, but her appetite wasn’t as good as she had imagined.
Officer Gao noticed Shi i’s distraction and wrapped a slice of roasted duck for her, casually saying, "Mr. Shi is quite considerate in his actions, and it seems he still likes you quite a bit. Why did you divorce back then?"
Hearing Officer Gao’s words, Shi i tugged at her lips, "Back then I was a fool, and he just treated like a child. If we didn’t divorce, what was the point of staying together?"
A subtle mockery hung on Shi i’s lips, and her mood was also sowhat complex.
Gao Lian heard this, raised his eyebrows, lightly nodded his head, and said nothing.
That morning at the Great Wall, he had briefly talked with Shi Lingyan.
He realized that Shi Lingyan didn’t seem to disdain Shi i for being foolish; on the contrary, when ntioning the foolish Shi i from the past, Shi Lingyan’s eyes occasionally carried a faint smile.
It was just unknown what had made him suddenly want a divorce.
Yet after the divorce, he was so eager with regret that he rushed to Imperial City.
Now Gao Lian could only be sure of one thing — Mr. Shi really liked Shi i.
He didn’t seem like soone who would divorce Shi i.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t be regretting it so much now.
But these words, Gao Lian didn’t voice them and just bent his head to wrap the roasted duck for her.
Ye Tiao nudged Tang Jingming at the side, saying, "Call him and ask where he is. Sothing feels off."
Tang Jingming thought the sa, glanced at Shi i, and seeing she showed no reaction, picked up his cell phone and called Shi Lingyan.
The other side answered quickly.
"Put it on speakerphone, speakerphone!" Ye Tiao, wearing gloves, kept nudging Tang Jingming with her elbow.
Tang Jingming cooperated fully, asking, "Brother Shi, where are you?"
There was silence on the other end, then a reply, "What’s up?"
"Just wanted to ask about you."
"That wound of yours doesn’t look too good; it wasn’t treated properly and has even festered, it might even get infected. I suggest you stay in the hospital for observation..."
A vague voice erged from the phone, unclear but everyone heard it very clearly.
Shi i was drinking soup when she heard this, pausing mid-action.
Tang Jingming widened his eyes, "You’re in the hospital?"
Shi Lingyan’s voice was faintly heard, then coldly said, "It’s nothing, I’m hanging up."
"Hey, hey, Brother Shi!" Tang Jingming’s voice was a bit urgent, "Which hospital are you in?"
But Shi Lingyan had no intention of answering and directly hung up the phone.
Tang Jingming was shocked, "The wound has festered, it could even get infected! And he still went hiking with us, that’s just too... too..."
He didn’t finish his sentence, and so reproachfully looked at Shi i, saying, "Why didn’t you follow him just now!"
A sense of suffocation rose in Shi i’s heart, she put down her bowl, and coldly said, "Whether he lives or dies, what does it have to do with ? We’re already divorced."
