Shi i felt sowhat embarrassed and said, "Are you at the airport now?"
"Yeah, just got off the plane."
"Why don’t you take a taxi here? There’s a late-night snack spot nearby; I slept a bit too long and am pretty hungry."
Gao Lian joked half-seriously, "Well, this call is well tid, just in ti for a al."
Shi i smiled, "I’ll send you the address later. I’m going to order so food with my bestie and wait for you."
"Okay."
After the call ended, Shi i quickly got up and dashed to the next room.
Ye Tiao slept like a log, wearing a fluffy pajama set, sprawling out in a spread-eagle position; more than half of the blanket had slipped to the floor, and her mouth was slightly open, emitting soft snores.
Shi i covered her face.
It was a sight too horrendous to endure!!
She stepped forward and kicked Ye Tiao awake, "Get up."
Ye Tiao groaned, turned over, and continued to sleep.
Shi i said, "I’m so hungry, let’s go for so skewers, then we can co back and sleep."
Ye Tiao’s ears twitched, she slightly turned over and mumbled sleepily with a hint of coquettish complaint, "What ti is it?"
"One o’clock."
"In the middle of the night?"

"Are you coming?"

"Go brush your teeth and wash your face."
"Alright!"
After Ye Tiao had freshened up, Shi i was also ready.
The two went downstairs, and the server at the barbecue place enthusiastically greeted them, especially after seeing their good looks.
They got a private room. Ye Tiao ordered a dozen chilled beers and then a bunch of skewers.
Shi i watched her go at it. Yeah, she was way fiercer when it ca to eating.
Just as they finished ordering, Officer Gao’s ssage popped up on WeChat: I’m here.
[Shi i]: Where are you, shall I co fetch you?
[Officer Gao]: Just give the address.
Shi i sent him the location, and also shared her real-ti location.
In less than five minutes, Gao Lian had found his way there.
Upon seeing Shi i, Gao Lian looked a bit surprised and couldn’t help but take an extra glance.

This Officer Gao was a bit better-looking than she imagined, with a very clean deanor; his haircut was a neat buzz cut, his skin looked slightly darkened from years of being outdoors, giving him a majestic and sowhat aggressive appearance—easy to rember, yet overall, he exuded a comforting sense of security.
He seed quite tall.
Ye Tiao casually stood up, well, her height of 179 cm fell half a head shorter than his.
