Shi i hushed with a secretive air, "Senior Sister won’t let say."
"Why?"
"She said to help others without leaving a na," Shi i pouted, trying to take off her suit jacket, but then Shi Lingyan held it down, "It’s hot."
"How can you be hot in such cold weather?" Shi Lingyan looked at her, his gaze deep and profound, "And you’re sweating too."
As he spoke, his fingers brushed the tips of her hair, and a thin layer of sweat was unmistakably present on his fingertips, "What are you doing here?"
Hearing this, Shi i looked down, sowhat hesitantly, and said, "I, I..."
"You rarely sweat," Shi Lingyan moved in a bit closer, his fingers drawing lightly across her back, his fingertips glistening, "Have you been here the whole ti?"
It was rare for Shi Lingyan to speak to her in such a gentle, serious tone.
Shi i’s heart fluttered with apprehension as she lifted her gaze, puffed her cheeks, and said, "I... I can’t let my husband find out."
"Why?" Shi Lingyan stepped closer, clearly scenting the fragrance of the shampoo from her hair.
Looking down, Shi i’s snow-white tender chest was heaving a bit too quickly.
She seed a bit nervous.
Or perhaps, out of breath.
Shi Lingyan’s gaze grew even more intense, and he said softly, "Shi i, I don’t like being lied to."
Shi i couldn’t hold it in any longer, her lips puckered in a display of grievance, she sniffled, and with utmost care reached out to tug at the front of Shi Lingyan’s shirt, whispering, "Hubby, don’t be angry,"
"Then tell the truth," Shi Lingyan, familiar with her manner, fixed his gaze onto her clear eyes and said softly, "Where is that woman?"
"She left," Shi i’s eyes reddened, a look of wanting to cry but not daring to on her face, pointing to the curtains behind her, "She went that way."
No sooner had she finished speaking than the sound of a door opening was heard.
"Ah," ca Yun Du’s voice from behind the curtain, "So it connects."
Yun Du entered to find Shi i’s body snugly covered by a large suit jacket and finally let go of a breath, "Boss, we found a note in the next room."
Shi Lingyan gave Yun Du just a glance, his look towards Shi i growing even deeper, as though drilling a hole through her, "Let’s have a look at it."
Yun Du, holding the note, made his way over, his face inevitably heating up as he recalled the glimpse of creamy, delicate skin he had seen earlier.
Although it was just an arm, half a shoulder, and a back, it was his first ti seeing a girl’s body.
Truly beautiful.
Shi Lingyan took the note, and the lip print of fiery red stood out strikingly with its sultry curves, almost bursting through the paper.
Riding along the edge of the lipstick mark were four characters both instantly and intimately recognizable.

Shi Lingyan stared at the words, his fingers unconsciously tightening around the note.
Shi i watched him, clearly discerning pain and anger on his face.
An uncontrollable nace erupted around him, but just as quickly, it was seamlessly concealed.
Such a reaction was within Shi i’s expectations.
Of course.
The reappearance of soone who had been dead for many years would disturb anyone.
Especially if that person was killed by his own hands.
Right now, he probably wanted to capture Senior Sister to get the truth, and then once again... silence her permanently.
Shi i lowered her eyes, savoring his breath so close yet tumultuous with barely concealed anguish within her.
"Search," Shi Lingyan’s voice retained its cold depths, "How could a living person just vanish into thin air?"
