Tang Wu had known Shi Lingyan for ten years, and they had been in love for three.

That day, Shi Lingyan sent her a text: "The civil affairs bureau is waiting for you."

Tang Wu was in the rehearsal room arranging music for a new song. Upon seeing the ssage, she scoffed and replied, "You expect to go just because you told to?"

This was the third day of Shi Lingyan's mission. Before leaving, he held her tight and whispered, "Wait for to co back, I'll take you to Turkey for our wedding. Together we'll sing this song, and later we'll tell our three children that it's the musical movent their mother wrote for their father's love."

"Stop being shaless, who said I wrote this for you?"

Shi Lingyan's hands road naughtily as he murmured in her ear, "Does this an you've agreed to have three children with ?"

"Umm..."

...

Tang Wu's lips curled up unconsciously, her body honestly tossed aside the guitar, humming the song while she dressed up, she finally stepped into her high heels and descended to the garage.

The weather was very hot, and as soon as she got into the car, she turned on the air conditioning. A pleasant fragrance sprayed out, refreshing her instantly.

However, for so reason, just as she rged onto the highway, Tang Wu felt her eyelids getting heavier.

"Bang"

The car suddenly hit sothing, and Tang Wu was jolted awake.

Looking up, a black sports car had stopped in front of her.

The familiar model, the familiar license plate number.

The car door opened, and a familiar figure stepped out.

Surrounded by the rush of traffic and the constant honking of horns...

That person stood expressionless in the midst of the traffic, backlit by the light.

Tang Wu couldn't believe what she was seeing and cursed, "Shi Lingyan, have you gone mad? This is the highway; do you have a death wish?"

Yet Shi Lingyan seed not to hear her and actually pulled out a gun from his bosom!

The dark muzzle of the gun was aid unwaveringly at her forehead.

Tang Wu watched as Shi Lingyan's lips moved; he said, "I'm sorry."

Tang Wu's pupils contracted sharply; suddenly, she rembered a remark her mother had made casually, "Did you know, Ah Ling's childhood sweetheart, the one called Bai Yuejie, seems to be dying of heart disease. Oh, such a pity, but what's ironic is that her mother said your heart and hers could be a match. It's hilarious, right? If you lose your heart, you die, so should we exchange your life for hers?"

Tang Wu watched as he pulled the trigger, and then her heart clenched tightly in pain, almost to the point of suffocation.

So, this was his real purpose...

An overwhelming sense of sadness hit her like a tidal wave.

The bullet instantly pierced through the glass, the shattering sound accompanying the intense pain as it rcilessly engulfed her.

...

Tang Wu suddenly woke up, her body drenched in sweat.

Half a month had passed, and the sight of that scene still caused her heart to ache.

Half a month ago, she thought she was gone for good, but when she reopened her eyes, she had arrived three years later.

But Tang Wu was no longer Tang Wu; now, she was known as Shi i.

A 23-year-old girl, with the intelligence of a 5-year-old, she was also... Shi Lingyan's current wife.

And that naïve Tang Wu, who had thought she was on the brink of a happy and joyous marriage, the obituary had spread far and wide three years ago with a well-known cause of death: driving while fatigued, mistaking the accelerator for the brake, crashing into the bridge railing, and dying on the spot.

Everyone praised Shi Lingyan for his passionate and faithful nature, for painfully sacrificing his beloved's heart to save soone in need.

But no one knew that heart transplant surgery was always a matter of life for life.

And that man had exchanged her life for Bai Yuejie's.
