Though her smile was very tender, so tender it seed as if she was engulfed in a soft moonlight.
If it were any other ti, Shi i would undoubtedly have been deceived by her appearance.
But at this mont, she couldn’t help but shiver uncontrollably.
A chill had seeped into her bones, unable to dissipate.
After returning, Shi i ca down with a high fever.
This fever ca on suddenly, without any warning.
Doctors were called to administer IV fluids and reduce the fever, but the high temperature kept coming back.
Aunt Chen was frantic, trying to cool her down physically, wiping her palms and soles, caring for her as if she was a child and not daring to leave her side for even a mont.
But the fever just wouldn’t subside, ebbing and flowing.
After several visits from the doctor, he ventured to ask, "Is it possible that she has experienced so kind of emotional shock recently that could have affected her old injuries from the car accident?"
Hearing this, Ling Yan was as clueless as Aunt Chen.
