"It’s really Tang Wu!"
"But wasn’t it said that the one who looks like Tang Wu is the Senior Sister? Why has it suddenly changed? Who’s that?"
...
What was originally a rather quiet dressing room suddenly beca noisy, filled with a cacophony of gossip that assaulted everyone’s ears.
The intermittent shouts drew the attention of nearly everyone.
Under their gaze, Tang Gu appeared sowhat uneasy.
Only after a brief mont of discomfort did he, seemingly rembering Shi i, cover his face and imdiately turned to flee into the dressing room.
"Follow her!"
At the director’s command, the crowd that had been surrounding Shi i scattered with a ’whoosh’.
"Is that really Tang Wu?"
"I think it must be, otherwise how could there be soone who looks so much like her?"
"But you just said yourself; looking alike could be due to plastic surgery. It’s not a big deal to get plastic surgery these days."
"Just look closely and you’ll know!"
...
The crowd was buzzing with speculation.
The dressing room, which no one had paid any attention to, was suddenly crowded with people.
Layer upon layer of onlookers, each seemingly eager to sprout wings and fly inside.
Upon seeing this, Shi i couldn’t help but smirk.
This Tang Gu really went all out to captivate an audience.
But then again, that’s all for the better.
She was truly soone who didn’t need looking after.
Shi i was sure it wouldn’t be long before everyone would hear about Little Tang Wu.
Stretching casually, Shi i tidied up her belongings and walked out, only to be greeted by the commotion inside.
"It’s too similar!"
"Tang Gu? Could she be Tang Wu’s sister?"
"But wasn’t it said before that Senior Sister was Tang Wu? How co it’s suddenly soone else now?"
"Do we even need to say it? Obviously, it’s because Senior Sister was impersonating Tang Wu. Didn’t you see? When the host asked about Tang Wu, Senior Sister spoke very slowly, obviously contemplating deeply."
"But Senior Sister never actually said she was Tang Wu."
"What do you know, that’s playing it smart, retreating in order to advance, winning people’s favor without giving them a handle to use against her."
"That woman is way too scheming then; from now on, I better walk the other way when I see her!"
"Shh, keep it down, she’s standing right there."
Shi i cast a cold glance at the few people talking, turned around, and left with her backpack.
"Tsk, acting all high and mighty, does she really think she’s sothing special?"
"Didn’t she get popular because everyone thought she was Tang Wu? Now that they’ve found Tang Gu who actually resembles Tang Wu, Senior Sister’s likely done for."
"I heard she even disfigured her face. Who knows how ugly she is beneath the mask? People like her cool down sooner or later."
...
When Shi i left the building, it was already the afternoon.
The sun was strong, and Shi i shielded her eyes before pulling her hat down and hastily stepping down the front steps.
To the left was the subway station. Just as Shi i was about to turn the corner to enter, a man suddenly sprang out in front of her.
Dressed in black with a black hat and mask, thick-frad glasses, and a black cap, he reached out to block Shi i.
Surprised, Shi i instinctively took a defensive stance and swung her hand in a swift chop.
But the man, evidently professionally trained, blocked her reflexively and attempted to apprehend her in return.
Shi i’s eyes narrowed as she quickly scanned her surroundings, reacting swiftly; she slipped through his attempt to grab her like an eel, and with an awkward angle, she kicked straight at the back of his knee.
