Old Mrs. Shi had been back for several days now, still trying to adjust to the jet lag.
It wasn’t until she finally got her jet lag sorted out that she happily followed her husband to exercise.
When she returned from the exercise, Grandma Shi heard Shi i’s shouting voice, "No, I don’t, I don’t want to drink milk, I want to drink my husband’s!"
Aunt Chen let out a ’aiyo’ and with an utterly helpless expression, she grabbed her hand and gently slapped it, "You can’t drink that, it’s black coffee, you can’t handle it. Drink your milk like a good girl!"
"I won’t!" Shi i stated emphatically, hands on her hips as she eyed the coffee cup beside Shi Lingyan, "I want the black one, I don’t want the white one!"
Aunt Chen looked towards Shi Lingyan, clearly seeking his opinion.
Shi Lingyan picked up the cup leisurely and took a sip, unequivocally refusing, "No way."
"Why not!"
"Coffee stunts your growth," Shi Lingyan said flatly, then bowed his head and continued with his breakfast.
"I’m tall enough already. Ye Bao says if I get any taller, no one will want . You want because I’m just the right height. Ye Bao isn’t wanted because she’s nearly one point eight ters tall!"
"No," Shi Lingyan said in no uncertain terms, "sit down and eat."
Shi i puffed out her cheeks, seemingly furious, and then she turned around and stord off with thudding, petulant steps, shouting, "I won’t!"
Old Lady Shi watched this scene and shook her head, "My grandson has truly brought ho a child!"
Then, she turned to Elder Shi with a huff, "It’s all your fault!"
Elder Shi was all chuckles, "Shi i is so adorable. Fools have their own rits. Just look—if your grandson had married so other woman, do you think he would be staying at ho?"
"What’s the use of staying at ho," Grandma Shi was fuming, "getting a wife is to have soone to take care of the man. Look at this silly girl; how can she take care of our Ling Yan?"
"Um, how can you have such backward thoughts," Elder Shi disagreed wholeheartedly, "look at you, married to for decades now, have you ever taken care of ?"
Grandma Shi: "..."
"Don’t even ntion taking care of . You haven’t even taken care of my parents."
"Are you blaming ?" Grandma Shi glared, "Then should I sit you down and serve you tea, water, and massage your shoulders?"
Elder Shi shrank back imdiately, "No... there’s no need, you better go have your breakfast. Ah, the weather is really nice today."
Grandma Shi: "Hmph!"
Ling Yan disregarded his grandparents’ conversation as if he hadn’t heard and soon left the house.
As for Shi i, coaxed and deceived by the old man, she finished her breakfast and then took the remote control airplane, given by Tang Jingming, out to play in the yard.
The weather was getting colder, and Shi i was dressed in a little pink cotton jacket, looking extrely cute.
Moreover, her face was full of childish innocence, and together with her naturally petite features, one might really consider her a child if not for her height.
Grandma Shi found herself getting angry just looking at Shi i’s naive and foolish deanor.
But then she suddenly noticed that her bouncing and jumping seed too graceful and light, her figure agile, and her spirits were exceptionally high.
An idea flashed through Grandma Shi’s mind, and she suddenly called out, "Shi i?"
"Huh?" Shi i turned her head, and upon seeing Grandma, she imdiately beca much more restrained and respectfully called out, "Grandma~"
Her voice was sweet and sticky, with just a hint of shyness.
Grandma Shi leaned in close, looked her up and down, and asked in a whisper, "So, what does your husband usually do with you at night?"
