Lennox returned ho late that night, expecting his siblings and wife to be asleep. As he quietly entered the house, he noticed a dim light coming from the living room. Curiosity piqued, Lennox cautiously made his way toward the source of the light, wondering who could still be awake at this hour.

He then found his wife seated on the couch with a thoughtful look on her face and a wine glass in one hand. Lennox found Adrienne’s unusual behavior intriguing because she rarely indulged in late-night reflection.

He approached her silently, not wanting to startle her, and gently touched her shoulder.

"What’s on your mind, love?" He asked, taking the wine glass from her hand and taking a sip.

Adrienne looked up, surprised to see him. She was so preoccupied with her thoughts that she failed to hear her husband’s arrival.

Lennox smiled softly, understanding the depth of her contemplation. He had always admired Adrienne’s ability to keep her emotions to herself, but tonight, he felt compelled to offer support.

"You seem lost in your thoughts," he said, his voice filled with concern. "Is there sothing bothering you?"

Adrienne sighed, grateful for his presence and willingness to listen. She took a deep breath and said, "Ayla is dead. It hasn’t been long since Camilla died. I didn’t expect Ayla would follow so soon."

"So I heard," Lennox replied. "I thought Alistair was rely punishing her for what she’d done to him."

"It makes wonder what happened to them after my passing in my previous life." Adrienne leaned against him and sighed, feeling his arms wound around her.

"Ayla was his mistress, right? You said she convinced you to divorce Alistair because she’s pregnant with his child." Lennox asked, rembering their last conversation about the events from her previous life.

"Yes." Adrienne nodded. "I signed the divorce papers she prepared before Camilla and her children took and Dylan away, but I’m not sure if she was truly pregnant or not."

Lennox considered the situation for a mont before responding, "It’s possible that Ayla used her pregnancy as a way to manipulate you into divorcing Alistair. People can be deceitful when they want sothing badly enough."

Adrienne nodded in agreent.

"Still, she won in the end. Ayla got what she wanted after my death."

"You can’t be sure about that, Addie. Ayla forced you to divorce Alistair. Do you think he would let her off the hook so easily? You know Alistair more than anyone else, Addie. He’s not the type to let soone manipulate him like that. He will eventually see through Ayla’s deceit and make her pay for what she did to you. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ayla suffered the sa end she had now in your previous life."

Adrienne fell silent. What her husband said made sense to her. Alistair hated being manipulated, and he had always been a strong-willed person. He was ruthless to his enemies and those who tried to deceive or betray him.

Perhaps Ayla was truly pregnant, and Alistair also bid his ti, waiting for her to give birth before dealing with her. Alistair was a vindictive man who would not let anyone get away with betraying him without facing consequences.

"Don’t stress too much, Addie. It’s not your fault that Ayla lost her life. She was playing with fire, and she got burned." Lennox rubbed her arm and kissed her crown, inhaling her familiar scent. Having her in his arms was quite comforting, allowing him to relax and forget his tiredness from his long day at work.

"What does it an for us, Len?" Adrienne pressed her face against his chest, seeking solace in his embrace. She knew that Alistair’s wrath would not be limited to Ayla, and she feared for their safety.

"We need to be cautious, Addie," Lennox whispered, his voice filled with determination. "You have to tell imdiately if Alistair tries to reach you. I will ask your Uncle Reese for help. He might have so idea what to do in this situation." Her husband reassured her.

Lennox hated to see his wife like this. It was as if Alistair still had control over his wife. When he married Adrienne, he knew she built high walls around her for a reason, and now that he knew that it was Alistair who was responsible for her trauma, Lennox felt a surge of anger towards Alistair.

Lennox tightened his grip around Adrienne, silently vowing to protect her from any harm that may co their way. He knew Alistair was a powerful and dangerous man, but Lennox was no stranger to confronting formidable adversaries.

"We won’t let him hurt us, Addie," he whispered, his voice filled with determination. Whatever happens, don’t deal with him on your own. Let’s figure out a plan together, but for now, let’s retire for the night, Addie."

Adrienne looked up at him, her eyes filled with fear and gratitude. She had never felt so fortunate to have soone like Lennox by her side, soone who would stand with her against the darkness that lingered in her past life.

"I don’t know what I would do without you," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "You’ve given strength and love I never thought possible."

Lennox rely smiled and lifted her into his arms, earning a laugh from her. Adrienne wrapped her arms around his shoulders as he brought them to their bedroom. It didn’t take long before their clothes fell one by one to the floor, their bodies entangled in a passionate embrace. In that mont, all worries and fears faded as their love consud them.

As their bodies moved together in perfect harmony, it was as if they were creating a shield against the outside world. Each kiss, each touch was a, declaration of their unwavering bond. Their souls intertwined, seeking solace and strength in one another.

In the midst of their lovemaking, Lennox whispered words of reassurance and adoration into Adrienne’s ear. He reminded her of why he fell in love with her and how she had overco every obstacle life had thrown her way. His words filled her heart with hope and determination.

Adrienne clung to him, her nails digging into his back as pleasure coursed through her veins. She surrendered herself completely, allowing the intensity of their connection to consu her. In this mont, she felt alive, free from the haunting mories of her past life.

Adrienne’s mind was flooded with a sense of liberation and bliss as their bodies moved in perfect harmony. She realized that, with Lennox by her side, she had finally found the love and life she had always longed for.
