Ayla thought that after giving birth to their child, Alistair would start showing interest in being a more involved parent. However, she soon realized that Alistair’s priorities remained unchanged. He continued to prioritize his career and personal pursuits over spending ti with their child.

Their son needed to spend a few weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit due to his being born prematurely. Ayla heard Alistair would visit their son, but he never bothered to see her. This only infuriated Ayla and her resentnt towards her husband heightened even more. She couldn’t understand how Alistair could remain so indifferent to her.

Ayla’s body slowly recovered from childbirth, but she hated what it left on her body. Not only did the pregnancy ruin her body, but the ergency C-section left a scar on her lower abdon. She hated how she looked now and wondered if it was one of the reasons why her husband refused to see her.

"Ayla, you didn’t touch your food again. Do you want to bring sothing else?" Stella asked upon seeing the untouched al on Ayla’s bedside table.

Ayla looked away from Stella’s concerned gaze and shook her head. She couldn’t bear the thought of eating, feeling as though her body was a constant reminder of her inadequacy. The scars, both physical and emotional, seed to weigh her down, leaving her feeling unloved.

The mansion felt empty and lifeless these days. It didn’t help that it had been raining hard lately, leaving the atmosphere even more gloomy and suffocating. The sound of raindrops hitting the windows only amplified Ayla’s sense of isolation, as if the outside world reflected her inner turmoil.

"When will my child co ho?" She asked instead. It had already been two weeks since she gave birth, but she had only seen her son once outside the NICU, and she returned ho alone without him.

Ayla knew the Han family wouldn’t allow sothing wrong to happen to her child, but she felt a deep sense of longing and emptiness without him by her side. She yearned for the day when she could hold him in her arms, feel his warmth, and hear his gentle breaths. Even her engorged breasts were leaking milk, a constant reminder of her maternal instincts yearning for the child she had given birth to.

"He’ll be ho soon. I was told Alistair was already processing his release papers. He should be ho anyti soon." Stella answered, taking pity on the young mother before her.

Ayla should be celebrating, holding her new baby in her arms, but it was clear that Alistair didn’t want his wife to get involved with their son. Stella couldn’t do anything but accompany Ayla.

A knock on the door caught their attention. A house servant greeted them and inford Ayla that she had a visitor. Ayla furrowed her brows. Usually, it was Stella’s daughter coming to pay a visit, so Ayla was surprised soone ca to see her, considering she had no friends or acquaintances left.

Ever since Alistair married her, he forbade her to attend social functions or make new connections. Ayla’s curiosity was piqued as she wondered who could possibly be at her door, breaking the monotony of her isolated existence.

"Who is it?" She asked.

"It’s your mother, madam. Should I bring her in?" The servant replied. Ayla’s heart skipped a beat at the ntion of her mother. She hadn’t seen or spoken to her in months since Alistair had cut off all contact with her family.

"Yes, please bring her in."

A sliver of hope appeared in Ayla’s eyes as she anticipated eting with her mother. She couldn’t help but wonder if her mother had co to rescue her.

As the servant ushered in her mother, Ayla’s heart swelled with relief and apprehension. Her mother’s presence brought a glimr of light into the dark corners of her existence, but she couldn’t help but fear the consequences of defying Alistair’s wishes. Would her mother be able to save her from this suffocating life she had been trapped in?

Her mother was her greatest supporter, helping her in any way she could. Everything Ayla knew was taught to her by her mother. Maryam had taught her to act and speak kindly, regardless of her opinions. She grood her to beco a young lady everyone admired, but that changed when Adrienne ca into the picture, threatening everything Ayla had worked on.

Her mother stood tall and regal, her eyes filled with concern and determination. It was evident that she had aged since the last ti Ayla saw her, the lines etched deep into her face telling stories of worry and sleepless nights.

"Ayla, my darling," her mother said, crossing the room swiftly to envelop her daughter in a warm embrace. The scent of lavender and familiarity filled the air, montarily dispelling the heaviness that had consud Ayla’s soul. "I’ve missed you so much."

Tears welled up in Ayla’s eyes as she clung to her mother. For a mont, all the pain and isolation lted away as they sat there, wrapped in each other’s arms.

Her mother pulled back slightly, cupping Ayla’s face in her hands.

"I couldn’t bear to be away any longer, my dear. I’ve heard you have given birth to a son. Where is he?"

Ayla bit her lip and continued to weep. She couldn’t tell her mother that her husband isolated her.

"He’s still in the hospital, mom. I gave birth to him so soon." Ayla choked out through tears, her voice trembling with relief and sadness.

Maryam held Ayla at arm’s length, intently studying her daughter’s face.

"My sweet girl, if only I could take you away from here, but I’m sure your husband would vehently refuse to return you to . Let figure out how to convince him, okay? I won’t let you stay like this, wilting away in this suffocating environnt. You deserve so much better, my darling."

Ayla nodded, clutching her mother’s hands tightly. "Please, Mom. I can’t bear this anymore. I just want to be with my son and have a chance at a normal life."

She realized how wrong she was to pursue a man like Alistair Han. His charm and wealth had blinded her, but now she saw the truth - he was controlling and manipulative. Ayla knew she needed to escape this toxic marriage for the sake of herself and her son.
