Lennox worked late in his office until well after midnight. His to-do items were like procreating bunnies; no matter how fast he went through them, more seed to appear. His office door suddenly opened, and Gavin stuck his head in.

"Ah, so you’re still here. Wanna split so takeout dinner with ?"

Lennox had already anticipated his best friend’s late visit, as they usually et like this to discuss the situation in Huayi and for Gavin to hear his opinions on so matter. He was about to say no to Gavin’s offer when he caught a whiff of delicious fried chicken, and his stomach rumbled.

"Sure. Take a seat while I finish up these reports," Lennox replied, gesturing towards the pile of papers on his desk.

Gavin plopped down on the chair, his eyes scanning the room filled with scattered docunts and half-empty coffee cups.

"You’ve been working non-stop, man. Don’t forget to take breaks. You wouldn’t want to make Adrienne beco a widow." Gavin said with concern as he set the food he brought on the coffee table.

Lennox nodded, realizing that he had been neglecting his own well-being amidst the chaos of their current project.

"Since when did you start eating take-out als?" He asked Gavin, who had started eating his share.

He and Gavin used to eat gourt als at fancy restaurants, but the demanding nature of their project left them with little ti for leisurely dining experiences.

Gavin stopped in the middle of shoveling sweet and sour pork in his mouth to answer Lennox’s question.

"What’s wrong with eating takeout als? They are lifesavers, Nox, so long as you know where to get the best ones. Plus, we can still enjoy our food in the comfort of our office, saving precious ti for work."

Lennox nodded, realizing that Gavin had a point. He had a feeling it was Myrtle who introduced his best friend to it. Gavin usually disliked eating or drinking foods that were not homade or made from fresh ingredients. However, Lennox knew that their current workload required sacrifices, and if takeout als could help them et their deadlines, then it was a necessary compromise.

He finished reviewing the report he was working on and joined Gavin. He took the plate his friend offered and stared at the amount of food Gavin had brought with him. There were boxes of noodles, rice, chicken, pork, and beef. He also noticed a vegetable dish filled with broccoli, carrots, and bell peppers.

Lennox realized that this takeout al was convenient and surprisingly appetizing. He thanked Myrtle silently for introducing Gavin to this new dining option and eagerly dug into the delicious spread before them.

"Do you eat this much now?" He asked Gavin.

"No. I called your wife earlier, and she said she’s worried you might have skipped dinner again, so I decided to bring extra."

Lennox chuckled. He hadn’t had lunch either. If Adrienne knew, he would surely hear an earful from his wife. Despite his best efforts, it was difficult to have an appetite when his work kept piling up. However, he couldn’t deny that the aroma and taste of the food in front of him were tempting enough to make him forget about his mounting workload, even if just for a little while.

"Then I’m glad you dropped by to pay a visit." He said. "I assu your workload is now tolerable since Kristoff joined the company."

"I should have dragged his ass to join Huayi much earlier if I knew how much of a relief it would be to have soone like him on board," his friend replied with a chuckle. "But yes, having Kristoff around has definitely lightened the load and made things more manageable. It’s been a ga-changer, for sure. I have invited us to accompany here, but he said he already promised his sister to et."

"Then I’m glad." Lennox sighed in relief. With Kristoff in Huayi, it was one less thing for Lennox to worry about. He had complete trust in Kristoff’s abilities and knew he could handle any task.

"But for you to be working this late, are you sure about this, Nox? You are lucky that Adrienne hasn’t thrown a fit yet. She must be a saint for putting up with your long hours."

Lennox smiled, appreciating Adrienne’s patience and understanding.

"I know, I’m pushing my luck," he admitted. "But this project is important, and I want to ensure everything goes smoothly. Addie understands the importance of my work and has been incredibly supportive. I promised her we’d celebrate our first-year wedding anniversary with a trip. I can’t cancel on that."

"You better not." Gavin agreed, "Adrienne deserves a break and quality ti with you. Plus, it’s important to prioritize your relationship and show her that she cos first. It also ant Myrtle would have a break too. I haven’t seen her ho these days."

Lennox looked at her best friend with an amused smile.

"Did you already move in with Myrtle? I thought with your busy schedules, you would have moved together."

He knew Gavin and Myrtle had been dating for so ti now, and Myrtle was the longest relationship Gavin had ever been in. Gavin would rather spend ti alone and dislikes socializing with other people. Kristoff had set him up with several blind dates before, but none of them were able to catch Gavin’s eye the way Myrtle did.

With Myrtle’s bubbly and energetic personality, it was no wonder Gavin found her so captivating. Her presence seed to bring out a side of him that no one else had ever seen before. Gavin had finally found soone who understood and accepted him for who he truly was, and Lennox couldn’t be happier for his friend.

"No. She insisted our arrangent is fine for now, and we’re not rushing into anything. But we’ve been spending a lot of ti together lately, and I must admit, it feels like ho when I’m with her." Gavin replied, his eyes filled with affection.
