On the day of the press conference, the head of the PR departnt of Stardia was expected to give an official statent about the scandal involving Ayla Jiang and the CEO’s daughter-in-law. Reporters had gathered at the venue, eagerly awaiting the PR departnt head’s arrival.
Rumors had been swirling about the scandal, and the dia was hungry for information to shed light on the situation. They had no idea that Adrienne’s camp would also issue a statent that very sa day. Adrienne was being criticized non-stop by Ayla’s fans, who were demanding justice and accountability for the alleged wrongdoing over the past two weeks.
However, the scandal never had a bad impact on the film’s box office performance. Despite the controversy surrounding Ayla, the film continued to draw in large audiences and receive positive reviews from critics. The scandal seed to have little effect on the public’s perception of the movie, allowing it to thrive amidst the chaos.
Adrienne sat in her study with her husband, waiting for the press conference to start streaming on television. Since Ayla was eager to destroy her publicly, her cousin shouldn’t bla her for retaliating. She knew the more high and mighty Ayla acted in public, the harder she would fall.
Adrienne’s eyes went cold. The person who would have the last laugh was yet to be determined. She knew the entire world was currently hostile towards her; after all, anyone could pity a mother who lost her unborn child because of jealousy of another woman.
"Are you sure you don’t need my help?" Lennox draped an arm around her shoulder, concern evident in his eyes. Adrienne appreciated his support, but she knew this was a battle she had to fight alone. She gave him a reassuring smile and replied, "Ayla is overestimating herself. She thinks she can destroy with her actions, but little does she know that I am stronger than she could ever imagine. I’m not the sa Adrienne she used to bully in the past."
Eugene Fang, the head of Stardia’s PR departnt, finally arrived. Caras flashed as he made his way through the crowd, his presence commanding attention. Behind him was a young, beautiful woman dressed in a three-piece black pantsuit, exuding confidence.
Adrienne smiled as she saw Myrtle. Her best friend had been nervous about appearing on national TV and speaking before a live audience, but she seed to have overco her fears. Myrtle had always been a source of support and encouragent for Adrienne, and seeing her shine on this platform filled Adrienne with pride.

Eugene Fang stood at the podium and greeted the dia reporters. He was annoyed that he was forced to make a statent regarding Ayla Jiang when she was rely a newbie actress who hadn’t shown any achievents yet. Eugene, Ayla should be thankful that CEO Li hasn’t terminated her contract yet for slandering her daughter-in-law.
Despite his annoyance, Eugene knew that addressing the dia was a necessary part of his job. He had t Adrienne Jiang several tis and knew she was involved with the film where Sofia Yun and Ayla were co-starring. Eugene had t many people in the industry, and he was certain Adrienne Jiang was one of the people not to ss with.
Not only was she married to an influential man and part of a prestigious Qin family, but Adrienne Jiang was forced to reckon on her own. Ayla had shot her foot by offending the person who could easily end her career without lifting a finger.
"Stardia was aware of the trouble between Miss Ayla and Adrienne Jiang. However, the company believed that since this was a family matter, both parties should handle it alone. While it’s true that Adrienne Jiang is CEO Li’s daughter-in-law, the company did not want to intervene in their personal affairs. Stardia valued professionalism and believed that it was important for employees to resolve their conflicts independently. Additionally, the company trusted that Ayla could handle the consequences of her actions and learn from this experience."
Reporters started to question Eugene after Stardia’s statent.
"Does this an CEO Li and Adrienne Jiang aren’t on good terms? Is it because Lennox Qin married her without CEO Li’s blessing?"
"Did CEO Li regret allowing Adrienne Jiang to join their family?"
Eugene raised a hand, forcing the reporters to stop.
"The presscon isn’t over yet. Stardia isn’t the only one who will release an official statent today. Today, Adrienne Jiang sent Miss Han to clarify the allegations and to let everyone hear her side." He stepped aside and gestured for Myrtle to take his place at the podium.
Myrtle cleared her throat and began, "Thank you, Eugene. I’m Myrtle Han. As the spokesperson and the personal assistant to Adrienne Jiang, I can assure you that there is no truth to the rumors of any discord between CEO Li and Adrienne Jiang. Their relationship remains strong and supportive. As for Lennox Qin’s marriage to Adrienne, it was a decision made out of love and mutual consent. CEO Li fully supports their union and wishes them all the happiness in the world."
She paused and allowed the words she spoke to sink in with the reporters before she continued, "Today, I ca here to clear Adrienne Jiang’s na. Adrienne knew that no matter what she said to defend herself, the public would still scorn her for Ayla Jiang’s misfortune. So, instead of saying words that could never change people’s opinions, she chose to take action and prove her innocence. Please see for yourself and judge whether she truly pushed Ayla Jiang during the premiere showing or not."
Once Myrtle said those words, the lighting within the conference room suddenly turned dim. The room fell into a hushed silence as all eyes turned towards the large screen at the front. A video began playing, showing the exact mont of the incident during the premiere showing.
The footage clearly captured Adrienne conversing with a smile with her mother-in-law before Ayla showed up, walking towards her. The video seed to co from a body cara Adrienne was wearing that night. As the video played, it beca evident that Ayla’s deanor changed drastically upon approaching Adrienne.
