Thankfully, their eting with Jacob Qin and Audrey Xiao was easily thrown behind as Lennox enjoyed the rest of the night with Adrienne. Since he’d been busy for the past week, he wanted to make up for the ti they had missed together.

Lennox enjoyed their ti at the restaurant, where they shared laughter and stories over a delicious al. As the night ca to an end, Lennox realized how much he had missed these monts with Adrienne and made a ntal note to prioritize their ti together in the future. After all, he did promise Reese Zhao to take care of Adrienne.

"How co the paparazzi have a photo of us, but we never had a photo taken together?" Adrienne asked, looking at the tabloid picture of them leaving the restaurant. Lennox shrugged, realizing that their private monts were constantly being invaded by the public eye.

"Give your phone," Adrienne demanded, and Lennox handed his phone over without hesitation. He didn’t need to hide anything from his wife, and he didn’t mind Adrienne checking on it, but his wife respected his privacy and never once asked him for his phone until now.

Adrienne opened the cara app on his phone and posed, gesturing to him to move closer. Lennox wrapped an arm around her and smiled at the cara, watching in amusent as she took several pictures of them. Once she was satisfied, she reviewed the photos on the gallery app, while Lennox rested his chin on her shoulder to take a peek at them.

"These pictures turned out great," Lennox remarked, admiring their genuine smiles. Adrienne nodded in agreent, pleased with the results. She couldn’t wait to share them with their friends and family.

Adrienne stopped at the photo of Lennox kissing her cheek. She managed to capture the mont perfectly and decided to make it his phone’s wallpaper before handing it back to him.

Lennnox stared at the screen of his phone for a long mont before a wide smile spread on his lips. He leaned in to kiss her again, grateful for her suggestion to take photos. It was a simple thing, but it made him feel like they were just a normal couple, enjoying a night out without any worries.

As they walked out of the restaurant, Lennox couldn’t help but feel content. He had everything he needed in life: a successful career, a loving wife, a family he could call his own, and a loyal friend like Gavin. He was living the dream that most people could only ever wish for.

As they walked hand in hand back to their car, Lennox couldn’t shake off the feeling of contentnt. The night had been perfect, and he felt lucky to have Adrienne by his side. Even though they had been married for a few weeks now, Lennox still felt a rush of excitent every ti he saw her smile or felt her touch. He didn’t think he would get

As they drove back to their ho, Adrienne turned to him with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"You know what I’ve been thinking?" she asked, her voice low and sultry.

Lennox raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What is it?"

"I was thinking we should recreate that kiss from the photo," Adrienne said, a smirk playing on her lips.

Lennox felt a surge of heat pooling in his stomach. He knew exactly what she was talking about, and the idea excited him. As soon as they reached ho, they rushed to their bedroom, their hands and lips exploring each other in a frenzy of desire.

In that mont, Lennox realized that no matter how many tis the paparazzi invaded their privacy or how busy his schedule got, as long as he had Adrienne by his side, he could handle anything.

The next morning, Lennox found Adrienne already awake before him, which wasn’t unusual. She was staring intently at the diamond wedding ring on her hand, and he wondered what he was thinking. He propped up his arm and rested his head on his hand as he rolled on his side to face her.

"Why are you looking at your wedding ring like that? Isn’t it to your liking?" He asked.

Adrienne gave him a slight smile, and her eyes had a hint of loneliness in them.

"I’m just thinking... She started. "I wish I could show it to my mom."

Lennox was surprised. Her mother had been in a deep coma for five years now, and there was no indication whether Rosemary Zhao would wake up.

"Do you think she’d like it?" He murmured as he brushed his fingertips gently on her head.

Adrienne nodded, her eyes sparkling as she spoke about her mother. It told Lennox a lot about how she cherished her mother. He was amazed how she refused to give up on her mother, regardless of what everyone says or thinks. If he were in her shoes, he would have done the sa thing.

"I think so. It’s simple but elegant. Mom prefers things that are understated yet beautiful. She always had a knack for appreciating the small details."

The peacefulness of their morning was broken when her phone rang. Adrienne reached for it and saw her Uncle Reese na at the caller ID. She gave Lennox a glance, wondering why her uncle would call her this early. The sky outside was dark, and their day hadn’t officially started yet.

"Uncle?" Adrienne answered the call as she adjusted on the bed and sat next to her husband.

"Addie, can you and Lennox co ho right away? There’s been an ergency." Uncle Reese’s voice trembled with urgency.

Adrienne’s heart raced as she exchanged a worried look with Lennox, realizing that their peaceful morning had abruptly co to an end.

"What is it, Uncle?" She asked while Lennox waited next to her.

"Addie, it’s your mother." Reese said carefully, and Adrienne’s heart dropped, fear gripping her chest. She could hear the strain in Uncle Reese’s voice, and she knew that whatever had happened, it was serious.

She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself before asking, "Is she okay? What happened?"

"It’s better for you and Lennox to co here." Her uncle insisted. "Don’t tell anyone about this, Addie."

After exchanging a few more words, Adrienne moved to get out of bed. Lennox was already ahead of her as he walked to their wardrobe and returned with their outfits.

"Calm down, baby. Uncle Reese would have said anything if anything bad happened to your mom. " Lennox pressed a kiss on top of Adrienne’s head when he noticed she was slightly trembling.
