The usually bustling streets of Changshi City seed deserted as heavy clouds lood overhead. Even with all the gloom, nothing could compare to the rage Lennox felt inside.

"I didn’t know she was your woman! I swear!" Ares broke into a cold sweat.

For a mont, he considered the possibility that this was the cause of Adrienne’s arrogant attitude toward them. Lennox Qin’s disability did not lessen his power, and not even Richard Qin could defeat him in a fight with his own son.

"Even if she’s not mine, how dare you harm a young woman like her?" Lennox gave Ares a cold look. "You have treated other won like they were worthless, that they only exist to satisfy your carnal needs. You’ve relied too much on your family’s influence but coveted soone you shouldn’t have."

Ares’s pupils drew in. His usual air of arrogance had given way to a mask of fear. A paleness spread across his face as he tried to compose himself, denying Lennox’s accusations and trying to absolve himself of responsibility for the heinous deeds he had committed.

"You will never fully understand the pain and suffering you inflicted upon your victims, but I promise you, you will pay for every tear shed and every nightmare endured. We will ensure that you are held accountable for your heinous actions.

"If the law fails to deliver justice, know I will do whatever it takes to ensure you never hurt another soul again. The world will be rid of your presence, one way or another." Lennox continued.

Ares trembled as he realized this was not an idle threat from Lennox Qin—it was a promise. And in that mont, he understood the gravity of his actions, the lives he had irrevocably damaged, and the reckoning that awaited him.

With one final glare filled with contempt, Lennox allowed Gavin to take him away, leaving Ares shaken and stripped of his facade of power. Ares’s façade fell apart as the gravity of the situation started to sink in, exposing a terrified man.

From then on, Ares Gu was never seen in Changshi City for the following weeks.

Ares had already lost track of ti as he had yet to catch a glimpse of the sun and the moon in the sky. It had been days, and Lennox and Gavin kept him inside the room, barely receiving water and food for the past few days. However, last night, several n ca to him. They blindfolded, gagged, and swiftly transported him away to a far and secluded rural town up north.

People who did physical labor lived in the town. There, you’d find the lowest mbers of society. Drug and human trafficking were rife in the area, making life extrely difficult. Since it was also challenging for n to find wives, they resorted to other ans of sexual gratification. Because of this, brothels flourished there.

The town was ho to a secretive male brothel, shrouded in mystery and hidden from prying eyes. It was a place known only in whispers, where twisted desires and forbidden fantasies were given life. It wasn’t a place for the weak of heart. The brothel, tucked away on the city’s outskirts, catered to the desires of all kinds of eccentric individuals seeking pleasure and companionship.

When Ares regained consciousness, he realized he was in an unfamiliar place again. He took in his surroundings and saw that he was in a small room with an odd scent he couldn’t distinguish.

The room looked sowhat gaudy, and he found himself lying on the bed. While pondering where this place was, he heard the door being pushed open, and soone walked in leisurely.

Ares’s eyebrows shot up in surprise when he saw Adrienne’s bodyguard, who had been with her during the most recent party at the Gu mansion, with Gavin.

"Let talk to Mr. Qin. I didn’t harm Adrienne Jiang at all." He tried to convince Gavin to sympathize with him.

"And if you have succeeded?" Gavin asked, "Do you think Lennox will allow you to live?"

Ares shuddered in fear, sensing the seriousness in Gavin’s tone. He knew that Lennox was not one to be trifled with, and the consequences of crossing him could be dire. Ares realized that his only chance of survival was to convince Gavin of his innocence and hope that Lennox would spare him.

"Where am I? Once my father finds out you’ve taken , you can’t get away with this!"

Gavin let out a low laugh, enough to send a cold shiver down Ares’s spine.

"Your father? I’m afraid he can’t do anything at this mont. The Gu Corporation declared bankruptcy, and the governnt seized most of the Gu family’s possessions. Even if the Gu family hadn’t lost everything, I doubt your Gu family would welco you with open arms." Gavin answered with a faint smile on his lips.

"What do you an?" Ares asked, regarding Gavin, carefully.

He didn’t want to believe Gavin’s words, but he didn’t doubt that the ruination of the Gu family was because of Lennox Qin.

"After your disappearance, several won ca forward and took legal action against you. They claid that you abused them sexually and verbally, harassing them until one of your victims chose to claim her life to end her suffering. Ares Gu, I’m afraid you are a wanted person now. " Gavin’s smile widened. "As for this place, can you take a guess?"

When Ares remained silent, Gavin continued, "Mr. Gu, this is a male brothel. n who perform manual labor frequently visit this location. I’m afraid you made a mistake by coveting the wrong woman, and now you have to pay dearly for it."

The expression on Ares’s face changed abruptly as the color of his face turned ashen. He couldn’t help but feel repulsed knowing he was sent to a male brothel.

All of these were because he tried to get his hands on Adrienne Jiang. Had he not sought after her, colluding with her Jiang family to lose her innocence to him, none of these would have happened. Who knew Adrienne Jiang had such powerful backing aside from the Zhao family?
