Lando had told I could co to Zentra whenever I wanted, but honestly, I couldn’t wait any longer because I wanted to see him as soon as possible.

It was strange, though. I suddenly felt this strong urge to et him. Maybe it was because I felt uneasy after hearing that Kai had sabotaged the drama even before I officially signed the contract, or maybe it was simply because I missed my husband.

I wasn’t sure. Whatever the reason, my body and mind just kept telling to go to him, just to find a little comfort.

"Here, this is the last one." Marissa handed the final page of the contract. It turned out that when I asked, Eric managed to give the rewritten version in less than an hour.

I guessed he did that because I still had another Brixton on my side, which was kind of funny, because Eric didn’t seem sure whether the Brixtons were supporting or waiting for to fall.

Maybe that was why he chose to play it safe and stay neutral.

"Alright, that’s it!" Marissa said as she returned the contract to the production team, then turned to Eric, who was sitting across from her.

"I’ll rember that your team promised to give my actress a performance bonus if this drama becos a hit," she reminded him.

After negotiating back and forth with Marissa earlier, they finally promised a bonus of $60,000 if the drama reached 100 million global views, and the amount would double depending on how much higher the viewership went.

Unfortunately, hitting that number for a youthful drama was tough, so I didn’t expect too much. Still, I was determined to give my best performance, at least for the sake of my portfolio.

"Of course, I will," Eric sighed. "You don’t have to worry about that, Ms. Hale." He then extended his hand toward with a polite smile. "From now on, let’s work well together, Helcia."

I took his hand and gave it a firm shake. Eric wasn’t exactly the best person out there—and yes, he was the one who had once triggered my breakdown—but at least he never went back on his word.

I know it might sound like I was being too forgiving, but when you’re surrounded by devils, even the smallest trace of decency can look like kindness.

After signing the contract with Green Leaf Production, Marissa and I finally headed to Zentra. Inside the car, I noticed her texting soone.

The conversation must’ve been pretty spicy, because she was typing fast and staring at her phone like nothing else in the world existed.

At first, I thought she was chatting with her wife, but when I leaned over just a little, I caught a glimpse of Lando’s profile picture at the top of her ssages.

Wait a second, she had been texting my husband this whole ti, while Lando hadn’t even replied to the ssage I sent him this morning? I knew my last text wasn’t that important, but co on, the least he could’ve done was send an "okay"!

And to make it worse, Marissa already knew his secret. That ant they could talk about everything, while Lando still hadn’t shared his biggest secret with .

Sure, they’d been friends for a long ti, but wasn’t he the one who asked to be his real wife?

Aren’t husbands and wives supposed to share everything with each other?

I sat there, overthinking for a while, until it hit ... I was also hiding a pretty huge secret from him.

Still... it felt different.

If I told him about the system and the whole reincarnation thing, he’d probably check into a ntal hospital. But if he told he was a billionaire, I’d throw confetti in the air and celebrate.

Do I sound like a hypocrite with that kind of thought? Maybe... I don’t know.

"Marissa," I finally said, trying to pull her attention away from her phone. "Are you sure Zentra is the right agency for ?"

Marissa finally put her phone down when she heard speak. "Yes, I’m completely sure, it’s a perfect fit for you," she said confidently. Then, after a brief pause, she asked, "Why? Are you having doubts?"

"I’m not sure..." I lied, forcing a small smile. "It’s not like I know much about that company. But if sothing goes wrong with , wouldn’t my husband also be at risk of getting fired? After all, he’s the one who recomnded to sign with their company."

"Your husband? Fired?" Marissa lowered her voice. "Who would even dare to do that?"

Then, realizing I had heard her clearly, she quickly cleared her throat and tried to sound more composed. "You don’t need to worry about sothing that hasn’t even happened," she said with a small smile. "Who knows? Instead of causing problems, you might actually rise to beco a famous actress and bring your husband a whole lot of good luck."

I couldn’t help but laugh softly at her words. "I really hope so," I said.

If that happened, I could finally complete my main mission, and even earn an unlimited amount of money along the way.

A few minutes later, the car pulled up in front of Zentra’s office, right in the heart of Redmont. The building towered above the city skyline, sleek and modern, its glass walls gleaming under the afternoon sun.

When the security guard saw , he imdiately told to go up to the thirty-fifth floor, the top floor of the building.

I was a bit surprised, honestly. I didn’t even have to check in with the receptionist; the guard just smiled, handed an access card, and pointed toward the VVIP elevator.

Really, could Lando be any worse at hiding the fact that he owned this entire building?

At this point, I was almost certain he was slowly trying to reveal his true wealth to bit by bit, like it was so kind of secret ga he enjoyed playing.

Or maybe... that was his plan all along?
