Chapter 26 Audition
He Xinyan woke up from her alarm clock and rubbed her eyes. She saw the empty space on the other side of the bed but there was still sothing out of place.
Gu Yechen's pillow was still on the bed. . .
He Xinyan sat up on her bed and grabbed the pillow. She could sll the light and masculine scent of Gu Yechen from the pillow, and she rembered his shaless actions yesterday.
She walked over to her balcony and was about to throw the pillow at the trees when she stopped.
He Xinyan took another look at the pillow and sighed. Hugging it to her chest, she looked down her balcony and frowned when she saw how high up she was.
She was at least 40 feet up into the air and there was no way to just walk up here. How in the world did Gu Yechen even get up to her balcony?
He Xinyan walked back into her room and threw the pillow back onto the bed. She grabbed her computer and sat back down on her bed in her pajamas.
As the script for the role was loading, He Xinyan looked around and saw the beautiful red rose on her nightstand.
She narrowed her eyes and picked the rose up with her fingers. The thorns have been cut off and all of the petals on the rose were in perfect bloom.
He Xinyan took a sniff and couldn't help but smile. Gu Yechen had a good taste in picking flowers.

Two hours later, He Xinyan did her makeup and dressed up before walking out of her room. It was almost lunchti as He Xinyan walked down the stairs.
Bai Jiawei and Li Huiran were sitting on the couch together, each doing their own thing. They looked up simultaneously when they heard He Xinyan walking down the stairs.
It was a Saturday, so Bai Jiawei was ho but He Xinyan slightly furrowed her eyebrows when she didn't see Li Yuyan.
"Where are you going?" Bai Jiawei asked.
"I have an audition."
Li Huiran stood up from the couch, "What a coincidence! Yuyan has an audition today too!"
He Xinyan thought back but she couldn't rember whether Li Yuyan was a part of the 'Beautiful Things Past' audition too.
After telling them she wasn't going to co back for lunch, He Xinyan left. She t up with Wu Minger in front of the audition building and they walked in together.
As they sat down, He Xinyan looked around and saw that many celebrities with so fa were also auditioning today.
The main female and male lead roles had been set already, and the actor and actress were both extrely famous A-list celebrities.
"Yanyan, Yang Yaqi brought white lotus over." Wu Minger whispered into He Xinyan's ear.
He Xiyan glanced at the door and saw that Yang Yaqi had walked in confidently with Li Yuyan walking beside her. The two of them seed to be in a great mood as they talked to each other happily.
Yes, the white lotus Wu Minger was talking about is Li Yuyan.
'Beautiful Things Past' was based on a very popular novel of the sa na. The director, Ma Qiaoqi, was extrely famous and had a good reputation, and over 200 million dollars had been invested into this film.
This drama hasn't even started filming yet, but the news and dia were already reporting about it. Everyone knew that this film was going to be very big and hot, so tons of people ca today to audition.
Even if it was just a small role, they would be happy to get at least a second of screen ti in the large film.
He Xinyan wasn't surprised when she saw that Yang Yaqi had brought Li Yuyan over. Li Yuyan was Yang Yaqi's favorite artist, and she also had so small fa.
Li Yuyan was more popular than He Xinyan, mainly because Yang Yaqi didn't give her any opportunities when she was under her. All of the roles and shows were given to Li Yuyan, and she had a small fan base by now.
Yang Yaqi has always been really satisfied with Li Yuyan, and never complained about her. anwhile, He Xinyan never listened to Yang Yaqi, and Yang Yaqi only agreed to keep "helping" her because she was pretty and because Li Yuyan told her to.
He Xinyan got an opportunity to co and audition today through her connections, whereas Li Yuyan got the opportunity through her manager, Yang Yaqi.
If it was He Xinyan 8 years ago, she would have definitely been extrely angry. But now. . . She didn't even care about them. She rembered that Li Yuyan didn't get anything from the audition, but instead, she was the one that succeeded in getting a role.
The role didn't have many scenes in the film, and after the drama ca out, it didn't help her much.
Yang Yaqi left after accompanying Li Yuyan over to the waiting room. Li Yuyan coldly scanned the waiting room and her eyes landed on He Xinyan.
Surprise quickly flashed past her eyes, but the next second, Li Yuyan confidently walked over to He Xinyan with a smug smile on her face.
Wu Minger clenched her teeth together as she said angrily, "I want to punch her."
He Xinyan patted Wu Minger's hand and signaled for her to stay calm. Many things had already changed in this second life, yet it was just the beginning of her rebirth.
In the past, Li Yuyan was still pretending to be nice at this ti. However, this ti around, she had already taken her mask off. Maybe it was because she was already exposed with Su Zhiming, and there was no point in hiding anymore.
Or maybe, she just couldn't continue to pretend anymore. . .
"What are you doing here?" Li Yuyan asked snobbishly.
He Xinyan rolled her eyes, "To audition, of course."
"Sister Yang told you to co?" Li Yuyan asked.
"Do you think that's possible?"
"You're quite brave," Li Yuyan comnted as she crossed her arms together.
"Doesn't matter, I'm not working under her anymore anyway."
Li Yuyan frowned when she heard what He Xinyan said. Her plan was to keep He Xinyan under Yang Yaqi's control until she got famous, however, she did not think that He Xinyan would breach the contract.
Now, it would be harder for her to rise in the industry and get famous with He Xinyan in her way. Although she was unwilling to admit it, He Xinyan was more fit for the entertainnt industry than she was.
He Xinyan was prettier than her and also, she was more talented. Li Yuyan clenched her fists together angrily as she wondered where her plan went wrong.
"What role are you auditioning for?"
He Xinyan thought for a second before replying, "What about you?"
"I asked you first." Li Yuyan knit her eyebrows together and took a step forward.
"You say it first."
Li Yuyan didn't continue arguing and she replied, "I'm auditioning for the role of Concubine Xi."
". . ."
Coincidentally, the role He Xinyan was auditioning for was Concubine Xi's maid.
