Ai stood up and placed her palm on Jin's shoulder. "Stay here with Shui and make sure you drop her ho."
"Wait, what about you?"
"I have already called Jun to pick up," she smiled. "He is almost here."
She whispered near his ear. "She needs you the most now."
Jin said nothing and simply nodded. Ai excused herself and left, filling an awkward silence behind. He walked up to her and gently took his seat beside her. Her slightly reddened eyes still expressed the horror she felt.
Jin saw her quivering hands clasped together. He pressed his lips, gauging the right and wrong choices. But he figured there was nothing right or wrong in this situation.
He gently placed his hand over her trembling hands and firmly pressed them. "It's all okay now."
His gesture and words exhibited the assurance she wanted to feel. He hesitated for a mont and stretched his hand to wipe away the moistness from her eyes.
"Who did it? Who had spiked my drink…?" She asked with a bitter expression.
Jin's own gaze darkened with rage. "Ren Mui."
"What?" She was dumbfounded. "Why would she…she plot against ?"
"It wasn't against you but against Alix. The drink was ant for her to consu but she offered it to you instead unknowingly."
Jin felt sothing jarring as he said it out loud.
Unknowingly? Was Alix really unaware…?
He squinted his eyes. The Alix with whom he had few conversations till now post coma seed to be too smart to fall for such a trap.
Wait a minute, she did say sothing about teaching her sister a lesson tonight…
It was at the ti he helped her outside before the party started. Since Ren Mui naturally got exposed during Jin and Yuze's scuffle, was it not possible that Alix had planned it beforehand?

A vein popped on his temple.
Ren Alix, I won't forgive you!
Shui's eyes widened. "Are you okay?"
He snapped out of his daze and cleared his throat. "Yes, I am fine. Don't worry anymore. I will make sure that that little sister won't pull such idiocy in the future anymore," he sneered.
"Hm…"
Shui looked away thoughtfully.
"If you are still thinking about the spiked drink, then please don't. I know it's scary but it will only hurt you more. And I am here by your side."
Shui stared into his black eyes. She rembered that when the world was spinning around her and she was desperately trying to reach soone, that certain soone turned out to be none other than Jin. In her frenzied state, she instinctively looked for Jin's number to dial without a second thought. She also rembered the relief that washed over her when it was him who found her first and not so stranger wanting to take advantage of her.
She softly smiled. "Thank you. And don't worry. I am not thinking about the incident…I was just wondering about Alix."
Jin's eyes narrowed. "What about her?"
"Alix's accident that made her slip into a coma. If Ren Mui really wanted to spike her drink tonight and plot against her, then it's also possible that she could be the sa culprit who led Alix into the accident."

Alix rrily whistled as she walked outside in the night's fresh air. Abruptly, she took a long step aside that knocked Mui's balance off and she stumbled forward, hitting her forehead against the car's roof.
"Ow!"
She rubbed the place where it hurt, glowering at Alix with an expression that spit fire.

Alix smiled. "Don't ever try to grab like that again. Also, shouldn't it be who is supposed to look hurt and angry over learning that her dear little sister wanted to ruin her sister? How co it's the opposite?"
"You…frad on purpose!"
"You see, I really appreciate the confidence that people like you have," she gave her a thumbs up. "You will continue to deny until the end. If I really frad you, then why didn't you agree to involve the cops and the fingerprint testing? Wouldn't you be thrilled to put behind bars if you had managed to prove my guilt?"
Her brow twitched hard. "You knew…"
"Because you are stupid," she sardonically smiled. "You do realize just how many cliche plots are there in the world? Your plan being one of them?"
Mui angrily laughed. "And yet you wanted to do the sa with Shui."
"You see now that was not stupid. That's the difference between you and . Unlike you, I think two steps ahead."
"Huh?"
She smiled. "How would I have exposed you had I consud your drink? Nobody would have believed my drunken babbling or it is more right to say that everybody would have just thought that I probably drugged myself to get Kang Yuze's attention. Throw myself at him."
Her mouth twitched.
"On the other hand…" Alix's eyes sparkled with joyful mischief, "because I involved Shui, the reality suddenly beca very credible, right? It wasn't a story or a lie anymore. People wouldn't have believed who acted crazy before, but nobody would have dared to ignore Shui's plight.
Han
Shui's plight to be precise," she emphasized her last na a few notches deeply.
Mui stiffened.
"And through Shui, Liu Jin got involved too, which I knew would happen. He was the icing on the cake. So now two big families got involved. The Han and the Liu families~ Giant families where people generally don't think to ss with."
Mui shuddered. Jin's ultimatum was still fresh in her mind. He was going to destroy her.
"I could have just thrown the drink if I wanted to," she shrugged. "But then where is the entertainnt if I won't drag you down for plotting against ? It was more about making you the Liu and Han family's enemy rather than protecting myself."
She gnashed her teeth hard and in a fit of rage raised her hand to slap her. But Alix caught her wrist and pressed it so hard that made Mui see stars in front of her.
"Ahhh!"
Alix violently pushed her back against the car and narrowed her eyes. Mui trembled hard. Suddenly, Jin's terror seed like nothing in front of her eyes that leaked of pure evilness.
"You see, little sister," Alix whispered icily. "I don't really rember what problem you have with . I am even willing to forget the fact that it was you who had pushed down the stairs."
Mui froze.
"I don't care who you are. I don't care if you run the family business. I don't care if you want Kang Yuze all for yourself. I just want you to stay out
my
way and let live peacefully the way I want. Trust , you really, really don't want to ss with because…" she leaned, whispering in her ear, "you have no clue who I really am."
