"Bwaahhhhh!!"

Mui collapsed back on the bed.

"How dare you make work so much, sis?" She glared.

"Aren’t you glad I let your body have so good exercise?"

"It’s aching from head to toe! Don’t you have any pity?"

She shrugged.

Mui then sat upright and said, "Your husband was really grumbling when he left. Will he be okay?"

She looked back and paused. "I think he should be fine for today."

"Huh? What does that an?"

Alix lifted her hair to tie into a bun and get to work with organizing her wardrobe when Mui squinted her eyes. She carefully walked up to her and leaned closer. She let out a gasp a second later.

Alix turned. "What?"

Her face blushed furiously red and she fanned her face. "T-That...That’s a hickey on your neck!"

Reflexively, Alix turned. She touched under her ear and looked at the mirror. "Oh yeah. Good catch. I should let my hair loose while stepping out. Don’t wanna give a heart attack to Mom and Dad."

Her cheeks flushed again. "That looks very r-recent!"

"Because it just happened a few hours back."

She stumbled back in horror. "Y-You two d-did it...here?"

"Kind of an impromptu sess-"

"Ah! Ah! I don’t wanna know!" She covered her ears and glared at her.

’He should be fine for today.’

When Mui thought back to her words, her face reddened further.

"That’s what you ant! Shaless! Weren’t you supposed to wait until your wedding night?"

"That was our intention but he is very skilled with kissing so along the way, I just-"

"Ah, ah! I don’t wanna know!" She covered her ears again.

Alix frowned. "Why do you ask questions if you don’t wanna know the answers?"

"You...you..."

"Why are you panicking so much?" Alix cocked her brow, amused. "What do you think couples do?"

"I know that!" Mui then mumbled. "I-I just...didn’t think you would..."

"Am I so alien?" She snorted lightly and went back to work.

Mui took deep breaths and was finally beginning to calm down. "So you are gonna miss him a lot? Don’t tell you are gonna cry like he was? You know, I have certain thoughts about my brother-in-law..."

Alix wasn’t sure how to answer that.

"I think it will be fine. We’ll be calling and chatting anyway. One week shouldn’t be too difficult to go by."

"That’s what I’m saying! I don’t know why he was making such a big deal out of it..." she muttered. "Anyway, co down for dinner sis. A-and don’t forget to untie your bun!"

Mui couldn’t look at her neck and quickly dashed away.

"She is so innocent," Alix smiled, amused.

It was after she stepped out from the shower that she saw an incoming video call. She rolled her wet hair inside a towel and picked it up.

"Alix!"

"Hey."

Jin stumbled back and coughed hard. "Y-You just ca out of the shower?"

"Yup," she sat before the mirror, wiping her hair.

Though she had donned a bathrobe, Jin’s face betrayed a lot of his internal emotions.

"What are you thinking about?"

"No-Nothing..."

"Maybe the fact that I’m wearing nothing inside?"

He covered his face in the other palm, reddened and embarrassed.

"But you just saw everything a few hours-"

"Ah, ah! Don’t talk!" He fanned his heated cheeks.

Alix paused. "You and Mui are so similar. Kinda like twins."

"Huh? We are nothing like twins."

She smiled. "Trust , you are. Why are you blushing now?"

"I’m not blushing...! I think I’ll go crazy because I’m already missing you!"

"It’s hard to satisfy a certain husband, huh..."

"..."

"So you an to say you aren’t missing at all?" His gaze darkened.

She blinked twice. "I think I’m fine."

It looked like his face was going to puff up in a full blown balloon of frustration and grievances. "That’s not fair at all. I’m barely able to concentrate here and you are coolly drying your hair."

She tilted her head curiously. "What else am I supposed to do?"

"Feel a little bit annoyed that we are made to live separately?"

"Just for a week."

"...That we won’t be able to see each other for a WHOLE week?"

"We are already seeing each other right now."

The grievances in his heart amplified and he struggled to keep his tears back. "Well clearly, you are fine without so this video call doesn’t seem to be necessary. Good night!"

And he hung up.

Sobody is cranky. Even though we had such a great ti.

Alix shrugged and continued with her night care routine. She then saw another incoming video call a minute later.

"You didn’t call back...!" Jin’s expression further worsened.

"Didn’t you hang up first?" she blinked.

"Yes but I thought you would call back," he harrumphed.

"Why?"

His brow twitched. "Because I feel unjust and frustrated and I thought you would soothe and cajole ?"

"..."

"How am I supposed to cajole you for sothing I have no control over? We have to live separately for seven days and we cannot do anything about it," she calmly said.

He burst into tears. "Fine! It’s easy for you to not miss , isn’t it? Good night!"

He hung up for the second ti.

Sobody is really cranky...

Though she couldn’t understand Jin’s source of anguish over living separately for just seven days, she didn’t want him to sleep in an aggrieved mood either.

So she clicked a picture and sent it.

Jin’s imdiate reply was a coughing blood emoji.

’Y-You...!!!’

’Is this enough to cajole you?’

She had sent a sneak peak of her bare chest from under her bathrobe that led to a series of violent coughs on Jin’s side.

’...O-only this ti! But don’t think that I’m so easy to ma-manipulate like this, okay?’

Alix scoffed.

Yeah sure. Husbands are the easiest to manipulate, don’t you know?

She changed into her night suit and climbed in bed, yawning. She was tired after all her wardrobe organizing and setting and just wanted a good night’s sleep in her big bear’s arms. Half-turned, she realized that the said big bear was miles away in the Liu villa.

She paused.

Well, the pillow should do the trick for now.

She grabbed a fluffy pillow, hugged it against her body and switched off the lights. A few minutes later, she switched them back on and frowned.

Huh. The pillow doesn’t feel the sa...
