Deep in unexplored space, a lone spaceship floated…

{Radioactivity Levels: 82%...}

{Spatial Storm: 44%...}

{Temporal Storm: 56%...}

{Asteroid Activity: Normal}

The diamond formation of asteroids continued floating in this unexplored space peacefully like they hid no secret and were normal asteroids even as the radioactivity level spiked at intervals.

Modern spaceships had different kind of advanced scanners to pinpoint regions of space that they were not allowed to pass through during travels.

So of these scanners were optimized to detect unusual gathering of spatial energy that could induce spatial storms, others for temporal storms, and the most common were those optimized to detect radioactivity levels.

25% was the widely accepted standard for spatial energy in space, but at this mont in this location, the spatial energy already exceeded 40%.

If it got to 50%, a mini spatial storm could occur.

If it exceeded 60%, a real spatial storm may occur.

As for the temporal energy, the standard in space was 20% but at this mont in this location, temporal energy here already exceeded 50%.

Few temporal storms were recorded in the history of the Nak State but those few that were recorded, one thing was common of them all, they were vastly more devastating than any spatial storm ever recorded.

Temporal energy needed to exceed at least 80% to induce a temporal storm.

The scanners of the spaceship kept on scanning everywhere.

BEEP!

{Temporal Storm: 57%}

"Captain…" The analyst called the attention of the captain of the spaceship.

The captain nodded. "I can see it".

"Don't worry, keep on paying attention to the readings…" He looked outside at the diamond formation of asteroids through the see-through screen of the spaceship. "It's not yet at a dangerous threshold".

"We'll hold our position and keep on waiting".

"That is our mission".

This was the spaceship that was sent by President Dunk himself to escort Legolas in his training, and today was the 7th day since they started waiting.

At this mont, inside the spaceship, a giant clock hovered.

{03:45:23}

The countdown started a few hours ago.

Every crew mber of this spaceship even as they continued engaging in various activities in this spaceship, they also paid attention to the ti.

It was remaining just 3 hours before the ti period elapsed.

6 days ago, their patron left and successfully entered the inheritance space pocket of the Titan Emperor. As was agreed, they had been waiting patiently and today was the final day of their wait.

It was not yet ti, the captain of this spaceship was patient.

The remaining 3 hours rolled over like it was an instant.

Instead, it was the remaining 45 minutes that seed even longer.

While they waited, the state-of-the-art scanners of the spaceship continued blasting everywhere at full power, scouring this region of space for any unusual fluctuations.

They were not sure how Legolas would be able to co out but they simply did their best, searching for any unusual signals.

Their wait did not bear fruit though.

The ti finally elapsed.

Before the captain could make any decision, he received a call.

BEEP!

{Incoming Call from President Dunk!}

Seeing the projection of the A.I, this captain's eyes widened.

This would be his first direct communication with the President of his state.

"Hello, good day Mr. President".

"Good evening". The President's voice was calm and inviting.

He did not beat around the bush though; he went straight to the point.

"Legolas is not back?"

"No sir".

He waited a few seconds before he replied. "Ok…, wait 5 more days".

"If he doesn't return, co to Planet Nak with the spaceship".

"Yes, Mr. President".

Beep!

The call ca to an end and the wait continued.

Every day, this captain paid attention, waiting, hoping yet no signs ca.

And in the blink of an eye, it was 5 days.

He had no choice, he had to leave.

"I really wished that you survived…" He paid his last respects to the hardworking Summoner that he was privileged to et.

He finally focused on his spaceship.

"Move out!"

"We're going to Planet Nak".

Planet Nak, the Presidential building…

Inside the office of the President, apart from President Dunk himself, at this mont, 2 of his Admirals were currently in his office with him.

Chief Admiral Greg and Admiral Zhao were present.

"Sigh…" President Dunk released an audible sigh as he stood up and went up to the window of his office through which he looked at the Presidential building.

The Presidential building of Nak State was gigantic, it was majestic.

It was a beautiful sight but the look in his eyes was a sad one.

This was because at this mont, his brain played tricks on him and everything were up in flas, the Presidential building was burning to the ground.

He sighed again and without turning, he spoke.

"The heat of the Beast Coalition is ramping up".

"Their attacks are becoming more frequent…"

"The Shelter Priest successfully stole another chunk of a planet under our rule, resulting in the death of hundreds of thousands in the process…"

"One of our Admirals was left terribly injured from the attack…"

He sighed again. "And now, Legolas is nowhere to be seen".

"Haha…" He chuckled mirthfully. "It's like the universe is throwing a punishnt at because of sins that I committed in my past life".

The 2 Admirals remained silent.

"Ti…" He sighed once again. "Ti is not on our side".

"The more ti they have, the stronger the Beast Coalition becos".

"It's like they're not scared of provoking us into a full-blown war".

"What is that crazy leader of theirs thinking?"

"If he really intends to build an empire for beasts, can't he do it in peace? Is he so foolish to think entering a war is the optimal way to achieve his goal?!" His voice sounded agitated and Chief Admiral Greg finally spoke.

"Our options are not over yet". This Admiral said coldly.

"If Legolas is really dead…"

"Legolas is alive". Admiral Zhao interjected.

Chief Admiral Greg paused before he continued. "If Legolas is really dead, our options are not yet over, we'll just have to accept the heavier losses".

"Like you said, ti is our greatest enemy".

"Instead of allowing the Beast Coalition to grow even stronger, I say we make use of our alliance with the Ackermann State now to launch a full-scale war".

"They are powerful but they can't withstand our combined might".

"With so sacrifices, we will obliterate the terrorists once and for all".

"That is exactly what they want". Admiral Zhao interjected again. "Do you really believe that the beasts grew so strong right under our nose alone?"

"An external power surely helped them".

"It may be your friends from the Bogor Star System, who knows".

Chief Admiral Greg looked at Admiral Zhao. "So, what do you suggest?"

"We wait". Admiral Zhao replied imdiately.

"Though I cannot claim that I know Legolas completely, I have known him for a long ti already and what I learned about him is that he never gives up".

"Besides, he's not soone that dies after every single deadly challenge".

"He's a survivor".

"He has survived odds that were far more perilous than this".

"This is why I believe that he is still alive".

Chief Admiral Greg glared at Admiral Zhao. "You want to place the fate and survival of the Nak State on your intuition and feeling?!"

"Are you ready to face the consequences?"

Admiral Zhao did not answer him, he rather looked at the President.

The both of them were just advisors, the real decision maker was still in the end the President of Nak State. All the decision-making power was in his hand and their next course of action was also dependent on him.

"Sigh…," President Dunk sighed again.

"Legolas is a tenacious kid".

"I learned this through his training".

"Apart from his ridiculous talent, perhaps the best that I have ever seen, what impressed most about him is his incredible ntality".

He looked at Admiral Zhao. "Indeed, he's a survivor".

"I will place my bet on him".

President Dunk steeled his facial expression as he inclined his head to look at his Chief Admiral. "We will wait for Legolas for a further 3 months".

"If he is not back by then…" He turned his back to his 2 Admirals again as he faced the window. "Then, we fight".

"I will personally declare war on the terrorists then". His eyes glead.
