Legolas arrived at the ruins of the previous royal palace.
As a Grade C Superhuman, Legolas finally gained the ability to teleport. Through his Summoner Energy Manipulation, he could concentrate his power to squeeze and distort the airspace to induce teleportation.
Of course, though his efficiency was not as high as Pugilists who could tear the airspace apart with their sheer physical strength nor Elentalists who had targeted teleportation techniques, it was still better than nothing.
On arriving, Legolas instantly felt the 3 distinct Grade C Superhuman auras. He traced them with his eyes and settled on a nearby building.
This building was recently erected.
Without hesitation, he walked closer.
On entering inside, Legolas' eyes beheld 3 familiar faces. Apart from Core Protector Shanks, Newton and White Fla Eleanor were already here, he was the last to make it to the scheduled leadership eting.
To make it as exclusive as possible to earn respect, Core Protector Shanks restricted the High Official seat numbers to only 4 seats.
These were the current 4 High Officials of Planet Darvis.
Despite having taken his Ultimate Man Potion already and looking like a grown man, Newton and Eleanor could not prevent the feeling. Knowing that the person that stood before them was essentially a 16-year-old, their lips twitched.
Core Protector Shanks chuckled. "2 minutes…, you were almost late".
"Almost, not late". Legolas corrected with a smile.
"Welco". The Core Protector welcod him with a smile.
Since the end of the battle of Hellfire Mountains, these 4 powerhouses had beco closer than ever before. Despite the controversies associated with Newton, in the end, Legolas respected his will and personality.
Not everybody was like Blade and Jon Stones, not everybody was as patriotic as them, Newton's decision countless tis during the previous battle to prioritize his life over others may have caused controversies but he respected them.
Together, they were already planning Planet Darvis' future.
Core Protector Shanks didn't beat around the bush, he went straight to the point. "After the end of the battle, even more chaos descended into our planet as the chaotic psychopaths dealt even more damage".
"Over the weeks, their impact has lessened but they are still there".
"From my observations, what is causing this is the lack of a leader. After King Tom's awful performance as the King, and the chaos and disaster that follows, most civilians are still in a confused and panicked state which fuels the chaos".
"They need a new leader to stabilize things".
"This is why I called for the first leadership eting". Core Protector Shanks looked at them all. "We need to choose a King that the whole planet can accept and unify under, soone that can stop the chaos".
"Do you have any candidates?"
"I have no one from the direct royal family line, all of them are already corrupted by power". Core Protector Shanks grimaced. "I am thinking of breaking the rules a bit and choosing a King from the side families".
"What do you all think?"
Newton spoke first. "I have no objection so long as the chaos stops".
White Fla Eleanor simply nodded. After Jon Stones' death, this warrior lady had beco even more silent than ever before, everyday of her life now felt like preparation for the inevitable war that would soon co.
It was when it ca to Legolas' turn that the pause beca longer.
All the faces in the room turned towards him.
Legolas looked at them. "You're already breaking the rules once, why not go even more extre and completely break it?"
Core Protector Shanks keenly looked at him. "What do you an?"
Legolas shrugged. "After everything that happened in recent tis, is there still a need for a King?"
Core Protector Shanks' face beca troubled imdiately. "Without a King, we'll never be able to curb the chaos".
"You're not exactly right". Legolas smiled. "You think we need a King because we've stuck with this thod since the Ancient tis, but what if I tell you that there is an easier way to make a leader that is not a King?"
"Explain". Core Protector Shanks' curiosity was aroused.
Legolas did not disappoint. "Since the history of our planet, we've encountered problems with our Kings. It's either they're too arrogant, they're notorious womanizers, or power mongers which affects the planet".
"What I think causes this is because there's too much centralization of power, they feel they are omnipresent and their powers cannot be questioned".
"That is why King Tom fervently opposed the Grade C Superhumans".
"That is why you were also ordered to assassinate Jon Stones centuries ago".
Core Protector Shanks' eyebrows beca furrowed even more. "I understand your points, but I still don't get what you're trying to prove".
Legolas smiled. "Like I said, Kingship is not the only viable way for an individual to rule a planet. What if instead of being a King, we create an authoritative position that is akin to a King but with less powers".
"…"
Legolas continued despite their confusions. "Unlike a King, this new leader is selected by every citizen of our planet so there won't be favoritism".
"Also, he won't be coming from a specific family, the best individual with the best credentials to rule the planet will be chosen".
"Not only that, asures will be put in place to control their power. Rules like every four years, a new leader will erge to rule the planet".
"This new culture is a process I term democracy".
"Through this process, we give power to the people".
Core Protector Shanks and the others' eyes slowly shone in realization; Legolas broke it down even further for them to make them thoroughly understand. In the end, they were left starstruck.
Core Protector Shanks was shocked. "How did you co up with this?"
Legolas smiled. "Let's just say, I'm really smart".
"…"
'Shaless!' They yelled in their minds despite their shock and amazent.
'Damn, a 16-year-old made this up?!' They were going crazy.
Newton finally cald down. "So, this new leader, if he is not a King, what do we call him?"
Legolas smiled. "We call him a President".
"President…, it sounds nice". Core Protector Shanks was even more amazed.
"When can we perform the election?"
"After all remnants of the Clown Society is wiped out". Legolas looked at them. "We tell them now to prepare them for it, and the realization that they all can now wield so power will motivate them to fight for peace and calm".
"This will accelerate our efforts to end the chaos".
"Imdiately the Clown Society is wiped out, the election follows".
"Also, the candidates that will be contesting for the election should indicate their interest now to prepare for the future".
It took so ti but after Legolas fully fleshed all the details of democracy to them, all 3 High Officials were left flabbergasted at his intelligence.
For a long ti, Newton saw himself as a once in a lifeti genius but now being exposed to Legolas' genius, he could not help but doubt himself.
'How dare I call myself a genius when there are freaks like Legolas?' He felt a little depressed.
Once the talk of electing a new leader was finalized, the leadership eting went to another phase as the High Officials raised new concerns.
Core Protector Shanks spoke. "After everything that happened, I believe we can all already see the importance of the planet core".
"Also, the importance of the so-called Arcanite tal".
"After a new leader is elected, I want us to direct a lot of manpower and money into developing the Core Protector Alliance and a special unit that would be responsible for locating and harvesting Arcanite tal".
"Seeing how much Alexander's aliens value it, we may be able to harness it's power to bolster our defenses against the invading forces of the aliens".
"We need everything on board to survive the coming cataclysm".
No one objected to his suggestions, Newton went next. "After the battle, I've been reflecting a lot and I have recently taken a drastic decision".
"I no longer want to be selfish with my decision as a Chemist".
"I want to create a side organization to the Elentalist Academy, an organization fully focused on raising competent Chemists that can contribute to the growth and defense of the planet against the coming cataclysm".
Core Protector Shanks was surprised on hearing this, being of the sa generation as Jon Stones and Newton, he knew exactly how selfish this Elentalist was. 'Perhaps the war did so good Afterall'. He thought.
Eleanor's demand was simple. "Jon Stones left a will for Blade to carry out, I want you all to support Blade in his quest to revive the Pugilist Academy".
Seeing how obsessed she still was about Jon Stones, they felt a bit of pity towards her but they dared not voice it out, they all agreed to it.
Lastly, Legolas finally made his personal demand.
"After the war, I have gained a lot which made reflect a lot".
"After a lot of thinking, I have decided to start my organization".
