Chapter 169: Completely Black (Dean’s POV)

Translator: Blushy

Ange and Broad were still greeting guests, so Felicia will be introducing us to the visitors. Felicia is certainly reliable, but isn’t this couple relying too much on her? No, is that what an heir to the Four Marquises should be like? Everyone is expected to fulfil their role as the head of the family from an early age.

“Felicia,” Stan called out to Felicia since she hadn’t noticed us.

“Oh my. Welco. Stan-ojiisama. Dean-ojiisama.”

“We ca since we had unusual guests.”

“I see,” Felicia said while smiling, but her eyes weren’t smiling. Is she nervous? Felicia and I didn’t have the chance to call each other by na, but her relationship with Lei has led us to calling each other’s nas like this. Then, she introduced to the young blond man next to her.

“This is Prince Silas Easter. These two are Stan Lisburn and Dean Albans.”

“These two are part of the Four Marquises, right? Please call Silas,” the young man greeted in a quiet voice which made him seem like a very ordinary noble man. No, he seed too ordinary. Most young people flinch when they hear the nas of the Four Marquises or they may co forward because of their strong curiosity. However, the young man in front of wasn’t like that.

“You can call Stan, Prince Silas.”

“Call Dean.”

That was when our eyes t for the first ti. The Prince’s almond eyes were only slightly opened, and the corners of his mouth were slightly raised. It was like he had found sothing good. The Prince seed to be checking my violet eyes just like how I had checked his golden eyes.

“Violet eyes. I haven’t seen them in a while. Oh, sorry for suddenly being rude. I don’t know if you’ve heard, but I t your son and daughter in Wester. Of course, I also t Stan-dono’s son.”

According to Luke and Lei, it hadn’t been a pleasant eting for either side, but why did he ntion it in such a pleasant way? If I hadn’t heard about what had happened beforehand, then I would have thought they had a nice encounter.

“Although my daughter is still young, I heard from my children that she did sothing rude to you. Thank you for tolerating her actions.”

“No, it’s fine. She didn’t seem like she was in a very good mood. I was simply impressed by her strong will and energy.”

The Third Prince replied to my polite apology with sothing that could be interpreted in any way. Then, he bent his left elbow as if he had rembered sothing and made a gesture that looked like he was grabbing sothing.

“I hope I can see them again. Next ti, I would like to firmly, no, slowly talk to them.”

“Luke is, if I do say so myself, a very mature boy. Maybe the next generation will be able to get along.” Perhaps the Prince was referring to Lei. But I changed the conversation to Luke.

“Luke-dono. Yes, I’ve had the pleasure of eting Felicia-dono, as well as Gilbert-dono and Lei-dono, I hope I can et the Four Marquises again soday.”

I knew it, he’s talking about Lei this ti.

I couldn’t help but look away from the Prince and glanced at the other people at the party. Otherwise, I might say sothing unnecessary.

This man is black.

He’s also different from bad people. We’re talking, but it’s like our responses are subtly passing each other, and we’re not standing on the sa ground when we’re talking. It feels unpleasant.

In the midst of all this, I heard a voice that sounded like a dose of refreshnt, “Silas-sama, what did it an when he said that Lei was rude?”

“Chris! Don’t interrupt in their conversation!” Felicia quickly stopped Chris from talking.

“She wasn’t rude. I wonder if Lei-dono still walks around with her stuffed animal.”

“You’re talking about the Rug Dragon stuffed animal, right?! She doesn’t always have it with her, but she walks around with it like it’s important.”

“I see. She hit my leg with that stuffed animal.”

“Oh! I can’t believe that Lei did sothing like that.”

Chris looked up at the Prince in surprise.

“Silas-sama, is it because you did sothing bad to her?”

“That’s...” It must have been surprising to be asked this since the Prince didn’t know how to reply.

He didn’t just do sothing bad to her, he kidnapped her in a rough way, I said sarcastically in my mind. And, this took my opinion of Chris up a notch.

Lei isn’t the kind of girl who would hit soone for no reason just because she was in a bad mood. Chris knew this, so she is Lei’s friend.

After that, I had a light conversation with Harry and Bran about our bright children, and a harmless conversation with the Third Prince. The party ended without a hitch.

“Do you think it ended peacefully, Dean?”

“That’s...”

I was able to grasp the Third Prince, so it should have ended fine. No, even if the Prince wasn’t soone who I should be wary about, at least Lei and Luke weren’t in the royal capital right now, so I don’t have to worry about them.

“It’s not sothing that’s fine as long as Luke and Lei are safe. If you thought that Chris’s matchmaking wasn’t important, then Dean, you really are...” Stan looked at and sighed.

“It’s Felicia.”

“Felicia.”

What is he on about?

“I knew it. I guess you were too focused on the Third Prince that you didn’t notice how Felicia was acting. She’s always a serious child, but she was really nervous today. She was probably trying to keep her distance from the Prince as much as possible and tried not to get close to him.”

“I didn’t notice.”

I was astonished.

“Is it Ange or Broad? Who was the one who planned all this? Hey, Dean. This matchmaking is for Felicia and the Third Prince under the guise of finding Chris’s fiancé.”

“No way. Felicia is a heiress to the Four Marquises.”

Stan ruffled his bangs with his right hand in irritation.

“That’s right. That’s why they couldn’t get her out of Kingdom. What the heck are they thinking? Both Easter and the Remingtons.”

And, what does that have to do with Lei? Apparently, it wasn’t good enough that things ended peacefully.
