Oled walked to the city's border. He still seed quite sad that I was leaving, but he never said a word to make stay.

I started walking, but I heard Oled whisper behind.

Hearing that, I couldn't help smiling.

I walked for quite the while. Strangely, I didn't feel like turning back into a spirit to fly to the next mine.

Checking the map, the last location was Orinda Mine.

Thinking about it, only a few days had passed since I started my journey.

That's what I thought, but I got hungry after walking for hours.

I can't even begin to tell you how tempted I was to turn back into a spirit. However, my pride didn't allow it.

I checked the map Master handed before moving on.
("There's a forest about thirty minutes from here. Maybe I can forage sothing there.") [Solace]
It was a slight detour, but I really didn't care. I walked for thirty minutes to find that forest, which eventually led to getting so berries.

I found a bush with red berries, which was ironic since they looked and tasted just like blueberries.

I stopped and took a look at the berries.

As a city boy myself, I had never gone on a hunt in my entire life. The only thing I had to fall back on were television shows about survival.

I searched the forest floor, looking for sothing resembling animal footprints. At so point, I managed to find one.

There was a large bear-like footprint. However, its largeness was actually a footprint that resembled the size of a comically large clown shoe.
("Whatever it belongs to, I hope I don't end up encountering it.") [Solace]
I snuck around the forest for about twenty-sothing minutes after that.

I heard a loud roar and thunderous footsteps. Monts later, chaos ensued.

The sound of trees falling and crashing quickly ca over. Within an instant I saw a giant monster co flying out.

Hardening my body, I leapt backwards to soften the blow.
"Guh...!" [Solace]
I fell along with the monster. The impact knocked the air out of , but I was still fine.

I looked at the monster's features, which resembled a giant version of a komodo dragon. The only difference was its skin was hard as iron and its fangs seed to be laced with a purple liquid.
("It's... injured?") [Solace]
It appeared to have taken a beating before flying into , which probably ant sothing scarier was coming.

I sohow managed to crawl out from underneath, and attempted to run. Keyword: attempted.

There was so much going on that I couldn't even check my surroundings, therefore leading to bumping into sothing.

I looked up to see a man wearing shackles around his neck, wrists, and ankles. Though those stuck out alot, what stuck out more was the tattoos that went from his right arm up to his neck.
