"They just offered to buy out the locations under our control f-for a sum of 12 m-million V-Varaha," The last few words almost did not co out of her mouth.

"What!"

Kirtana exclaid. "How? Why? ..." She didn't know what to ask, so she quickly took the letter and read it thoroughly. Seeing that it was true, she was stunned.

She did not understand why, but from what she knew, a pie doesn't simply fall from the sky—there had to be so reason for it. She took her ti to compose herself and looked at the excited assistant. "Did they give a deadline for the deal?"

Loka Yagni nodded coquettishly. "Two days..."

Kirtana frowned. 'So little ti. Are they forcing to sell the location, or is there sothing I have that they want so badly?'

She decided to test Sunil Chittyar and Anil Kumar (owner and manager of Chittyar Mining and Patnaik & Bros).

"Reject the offer. I am not willing to let go of the location at this price."

"Ah!" Loka Yagni was stunned. "Why? Director, are you sure? Even if we completely mine the three locations, the profit we would get would not cross two million Varaha. Now these two companies are willing to pay 12 million—why not accept the deal?"

Kirtana's eyes imdiately turned sharp. "Have you taken a bribe from them or sothing?" Your adventure continues at empire

"Ah, no!" Loka Yagni was panicked. She shook her hands vigorously, as if the faster she shook, the quicker she would prove her loyalty.

Kirtana knew that the guy did not take the bribe, but still, she had to give a warning. "Then do as I say. If I hear you questioning again, I am going to replace you. Got it?" She looked stern.

"Ya—yes..." Loka Yagni's heart was pounding out of her chest as she covered her mouth, holding herself back from crying. She knew what sort of mistake she had made, and losing the job was not an option for her. Unlike everyone else who could just look for another job, her condition was different. She was a homosexual, and knowing that the people who would give her jobs were as rare as millionaires in the empire, she was already very grateful for Kirtana employing her.

Kirtana understood that the point she wanted to make was understood by Loka Yagni, so she softened her tone. "Idiot, didn't you yourself say that we can make only around 2 million Varaha from the locations even after carefully mining all the resources? Then why do you think they are suddenly offering 12 million? That is like 4 million per location. What benefit do they have, and why do they give such a short ti span for us to consider? Doesn't this look suspicious?"

Loka Yagni's face imdiately wrinkled. She suddenly realized how unusual the situation was. Before, she had been too excited to consider such things, but now that she rationally looked at it, Sothing was definitely not right.

"Don't worry, director. I will reject the offer imdiately."

Kirtana nodded in appreciation.

A few days passed, and the situation was getting weirder and weirder. Not even a single location was up for bid; everything was kept by the top seven companies. Even the newly established second-tier companies were not letting go of the locations they had found. However, this ti, Kirtana was not panicking because she imdiately understood that a big change was happening in the mining industry, and all she had to do was hold onto everything she had in order to see it through and co out either victorious, gaining a lot of benefits, or coming out alive without much loss.

Suddenly, Loka Yagni brought in another surprising piece of information, but this ti she didn't look as flustered as the first ti. Still, it could be seen that she was shaken.

"Director, we received another offer, but this ti it was from Shreysta Minerals and Bora Explorer's Private Limited."

Kirtana frowned. "Suman Shrestha and Raghunathan Bhora are getting involved too? This is getting too big."

Turning around, she asked, "What's the offer?"

"Um..." Loka Yagni took a big gulp of saliva. "They offered 24 million for all three locations, ma'am."

"8 million per location."

Kirtana's eyes widened. Her intuition told her even more not to budge and hold the location no matter what.

"Anything else?"

"Yes, ma'am. The stock price of Kombay Minerals suddenly jumped by 25%. The price per share is now at 75 Varaha, with a market cap of 93.6 million."

"I did so deeper digging and found out that the rise in price was not because Mr Arjun found another mine, but because the investnt firms suddenly seed to have gotten very interested in the mining industry. In fact, an investnt firm also sent an offer to invest in the company, but following your usual order, I have rejected the offer."

Kirtana leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes. What had happened in the last few weeks continuously replayed in her mind. She searched for patterns she might have missed and inadvertent conversations with colleagues that could have revealed a clue, but no, she was not lucky. Still, she did not give up. She thought again and again if there was anything valuable in the locations—was there a diamond mine or a goldmine hidden sowhere? But no, that was not it either, since if that were the case, it would not explain why all the mining companies were refusing to sell their locations. She was not getting anywhere. No matter how deep she thought, there was nothing on the surface of the locations she had contracted that could be mined anymore.

"Wait, surface?"

It suddenly hit her. "What if whatever is valuable is not on the surface but is deeper?"

This realization made her shocked. "Loki, let's say... let's just say, what if a new technology is invented that can mine resources underground?"

"Should we still sell the locations?"

Loka Yagni's eyes widened, her mouth agape. She could have never gotten the idea. She looked at the director with amazent. "If such a technology really cos into existence, then, director, there is hope for the company to step into the next level in no ti."

Kirtana imdiately realized this opportunity. "Loki, Basava Mining does not have Arkha Dristhi communication, does it?"

"No, ma'am, it's not established yet," Loka Yagni replied confidently, as she was the one who personally sent the letters to that company located in the remote town of Kalachuri Nagar.

Kirtana imdiately showed a devious grin. "great in that case, it will take a few more days for Prithvi to receive the offer. Within that ti, put forward the offer to acquire the company as a whole for 5 million Varaha. Or at least, let's first take over the contracted locations under his contract and make sure the price we offer is just over the market price from a month ago—don't make it too exaggerated." She grumbled, "He might get suspicious; his senses are quite keen, just like a... dog"

Basava Mining is another mining company that runs the sa business model as hers. In fact, it is a copycat. Basava Mining only has two locations under its control, and its yearly profits are not as good as hers. The company is located in a remote town in Kalachuri Nagar, where the Arkha dristhi communication channel has not been reached yet.

Well, to be completely fair, Jyothi Minerals is also located in Kalachuri Nagar, also in a town, but luckily enough, it is a town with the Arkha Dristhi communication channel passing through. Prithvi and her husband were good friends in their childhood as they grew up in the sa gurukul, but there was a lot of difference between her husband and Prithvi. Unlike her husband, who had to work as a foreman despite being born into the Warrior caste due to being a bastard son, Prithvi had inherited everything from their parents. It is from this inheritance that he founded the company.

If she is being completely honest, she doesn't like Prithvi. He gives her the creeps. He always looked at her weirdly; it almost feels like he is so sort of predator waiting to catch her vulnerable. At the beginning, when she had just gotten married, she thought she was mistaken, but after running the company for three years, she knew what that gaze ant, which made her hate Prithvi even more. She doesn't have even a tad bit of pity for Prithvi. In fact, she planned in her mind to put up various obstacles for the postman to delay the ti at which Prithvi receives the letter. However, this had to be done with the utmost secrecy; if she got caught, going to jail was inevitable. So, she didn't even disclose the matter to Loka Yagni.

"If he agrees to sell the company, let's mortgage one of the locations and so of the company assets to get a loan from Shetty and Co. Industrial Bank. Mr Rupesh should speed up the process; he still has a favour to repay my husband."

"But if Prithvi doesn't agree to sell the company, let's only take back the mining rights of the locations and look for so other remote mining companies that have one or two mines under their control."

Then, she will simply sit on the locations and see what the future in the mining sector holds. Should an opportunity present itself, she will wait for it like a tigress on the hunt.
