Reborn: I'll Never Fail My Childhood Sweetheart Again Chapter 601 - 223: No More Stealing Food Next Time! (Part 2)
"Oh, I see. Well, since you’re practicing, I won’t disturb you. Let’s chat next ti."
"Ah Xi, wait a mont."
"What’s up?"
"Uh, I took your bedding to the dry cleaners."
"Huh, why’d you take it to be washed?"
"You were planning to take it to the dry cleaners after returning to campus, right? I figured by then, the laundry would be crowded, and you’d have to line up. So I took mine and yours before heading ho, so you won’t have to wait in line at the laundry."
Ding Linna’s words instantly moved Luo Xi.
What is a true friend in Xia Country?
It’s soone like Nanaz!
She even thought of her while taking bedding to the dry cleaners; what kind of close friendship would make soone so considerate?
"Thanks, Nanaz. I’ll pay you back for the dry cleaning when we’re back in school."
"No need, no need. It’s not much money anyway. We’re besties, right? Plus, I’ve slept with that bedding several tis during the coldest days when we shared the bed for warmth, and after you went ho for vacation, I used it once when mine accidentally got wet."
"Oh, it’s no big deal, Nanaz. Feel free to use it, even sleep on my side. I don’t mind!"
"..."
After Ding Linna hung up, Su Zelin couldn’t help but laugh.
This pair of fake besties, they are quite amusing.
If Ah Xi knew the truth, her face would probably turn green instantly.
"Nanaz, why do you girls gossip so much, talking about trivial things on the phone for ages?"
He chuckled and teased.
"It’s called best friends sharing daily life, unlike you guys without any patience!"
She rolled her eyes at him.
It was only around noon that the two of them finished their practice.
Then they headed out.
Ding Linna dragged her suitcase, while Su Zelin carried her and Luo Xi’s bedding to send for cleaning.
The dorms for both boys and girls have laundry rooms, which are convenient for lazy college students who don’t want to wash their bedding. Business is best at the end and start of each sester, but there were no custors this ti.
The shop owner’s family lived in the laundry room and they remained open even during holidays. Seeing a guy co in wasn’t surprising, it happened often enough. There were always small couples coming ho later than others, with the guys spending the nights at their girlfriends’ dorms.
They left their nas and student numbers and didn’t have to wait. The dry-cleaned bedding could be stored there and claid with a student ID upon return to campus.
After a big workout last night and this morning, they were both hungry now. The campus cafeteria had stopped operating, but the food street outside was open. After all, custors weren’t limited to students, but included outsiders too.
It was still early, so they had a small hot pot al at the food street before heading to the train station.
Tickets could still be bought from scalpers at high prices, avoiding the need to fly. Lin’an wasn’t far from Rizhao anyway.
They waited together in the waiting hall until the train arrived and passengers lined up for boarding. Only after most of the passengers had gone through did Nanaz reluctantly bid farewell to Su Zelin.
She gave him a strong hug and kissed him for at least ten seconds in the waiting hall, ignoring the curious glances from the other travelers.
After a while, she let go: "Rember to miss when you get ho!"
"Mm, I will."
Su Zelin nodded.
He genuinely ant it. These past days with Nanaz had been unforgettable.
Her romantic flair, outgoing nature, and their wild playtis were mories to cherish.
After Ding Linna passed through the ticket gate, she kept looking back until she disappeared within the departure passageway. Only then did Su Zelin head to the parking lot.
Being with Nanaz was truly comfortable.
What was I thinking in my past life to miss such a wonderful girl? And even when she was let go, she wasn’t happy!
No matter what, life with should be better than what she experienced in her past life, right?
Gotta say, the grass on this side of the fence is pretty sweet.
After seeing off Nanaz, Su Zelin drove ho alone.
The highway between Jianglan and Lin’an had opened before the New Year, making things much more convenient.
Just over three hours later, he was back in his familiar hotown.
He arrived just in ti for dinner.
Hearing the engine, the family mbers from both houses and Qin Shiqing ca out. They were having a good chat in the Su family’s first-floor living room.
"Xiaolinzi, you’re back! You look a bit tired. Have you been working too hard at the company?"
Qin Shiqing asked with concern.
She noticed how worn out Su Zelin appeared.
Driving wouldn’t have tired him this much; he was always full of energy, being her childhood friend.
Su Zelin thought it was the back-to-back workouts, leaving him with little rest, followed by the drive ho, leading to his fatigue.
Before he could reply, Liu Sufen retorted, "What ’Xiaolinzi,’ Shiqing, don’t just give him weird nicknas!"
Even if you give him one, it shouldn’t be that!
If he turns into ’Xiaolinzi,’ wouldn’t you be living like a widow?
"Mom, it was Grandma who gave him that nickna!"
Qin Shiqing pouted.
Sleeping next to each other without doing anything is pretty much like Xiaolinzi.
The young girl pondered silently.
"What, Grandma gave it to him?"
Liu Sufen thought about it, and it did ring a bell, but it had been too long to rember clearly.
She quickly changed her tune: "Actually, the nickna isn’t that bad. The elderly don’t mind these things. It’s endearing and catchy."
"Son, while work is important, rember to take care of your health too. Don’t wear yourself out!"
