Jocelyn Hayes widened her eyes.
"Ashley, are you serious? Even in college you’re cramming? How many points did you get on your entrance exam? I think you shouldn’t have co to this school, you should’ve gone to Aethelgard University."
Ashley’s entrance exam scores were indeed good enough for Aethelgard University.
She smiled slightly and said, "I’m not cramming, reading is my hobby."
Jocelyn shook her head, about to ridicule this strange hobby, and wanted to show Ashley what a real hobby was, when Ashley’s phone lit up.
"Soone’s looking for you; looks like you’re busy again!"
Ashley sighed, surely it was sothing about the class; she didn’t even want to look at her phone.
Lynn Redding, beside her, suggested, "Ashley, if it’s really tough for you, just go talk to Ms. Wright and say you only want to focus on studying... after all, we’ve all beco familiar after military training, maybe there’s ’soone’ who wants to be class leader?"
This "soone" was, of course, referring to Evelyn Vaughn.
Ashley hadn’t thought about Evelyn Vaughn, after all, as long as soone wanted to be class leader, it didn’t matter who it was.
"I’ll call Ms. Wright today."
However, Wilson Wallace was a mysterious person, and it took ages for him to reply to ssages; who knew when she could shed this title of class leader.
Ashley sighed again, then grabbed her phone. After glancing at the ssage content, she suddenly widened her eyes and quickly ran to the balcony.
It was Warren Prescott.
The ssage just now was also from him, saying: [Co downstairs.]
Right at that mont, Warren leaned casually against the car door, as if sensing sothing, he suddenly looked up and accurately spotted the balcony she was standing on.
Their eyes t, and Warren’s lips curled into an appealing smile.
Behind him was a patch of fiery red maple trees, making his smile even more striking.
They were quite a distance apart, and he was too lazy to shout, so he just waved at her.
It was then that Ashley rembered Assistant Lowell had arranged this evening’s dinner with Warren Prescott.
She hadn’t expected Warren to drive directly to her dormitory to pick her up.
"What’s up?" Jocelyn was about to follow her to the balcony when Ashley turned back inside.
"I arranged to have dinner with an old high school classmate, I need to go out for a bit."
"Are you going alone?"
"Ariana is going with ."
"Alright, I’ll have dinner with Lynn tonight."
Jocelyn said as she walked over to the balcony, out of curiosity, and looked down.
That one look set off alarm bells in Jocelyn’s mind.
What a handso guy!
Even compared to her brother, they were on par!
And her brother, famous for his good looks since childhood, had received countless love letters from girls.
Yet here was soone even more handso, and he was Ashley’s classmate.
Oh no, could he be a threat to her brother?
Her brother indeed liked soone, yet strangely hadn’t co to school even once recently.
Jocelyn quickly looked away, feeling uneasy, but her hands didn’t stop as she rapidly reported to her brother.
She said this:
[Bro! What have you been busy with these days? It’s been so long since the sester started, and you haven’t co to see ?]
[Fine if you don’t want to see , but not seeing Ashley either?]
[Clearly, you have feelings for her, but how co she never ntioned you ssaging her?]
[Now look, there’s a super handso guy asking her out for dinner today... He’s incredibly handso, driving a car worth five million, which isn’t cheaper than yours. You’ve got competition now!]
After sending the ssage, Ashley had already changed her clothes.
Jocelyn took a look at Ashley’s outfit and, for so reason, felt half reassured.
Because Ashley hadn’t dressed up specifically, just wearing white jeans and a black hoodie with a big pattern for early autumn.
Simple and plain, and she wasn’t wearing any makeup.
When girls go to et soone they like, they certainly dress up a bit; Ashley hadn’t, indicating she wasn’t interested—at least for now.
She really wanted to follow and gather intel for her brother, but couldn’t find a good excuse, nor could she leave Lynn alone, so she could only wait anxiously with a smile as she let Ashley go have fun.
But just as Ashley was about to leave, Jocelyn couldn’t help asking, "Ashley, you’ll be back tonight, right?"
Ashley nodded, "Yes, we’ll probably just have dinner and then co back. Do you want to bring anything for you?"
Jocelyn wanted to say no, but then thought she could use this excuse to urge Ashley to co back, so she said, "Bring a small cake. I feel like I haven’t had cake for a while."
"Sure."
Ashley agreed and went downstairs to call Ariana Grant.
Ariana was already prepared but dressed casually too, with just a touch of makeup.
Since Leon Zeller worked for Warren, she still wanted to leave a good impression on him.
"Ashley, do you think he still rembers Leon?"
Ashley didn’t know and said, "It’s been ten days since we last saw him, I don’t know how much he’s recovered."
But judging from the smile Warren gave from the balcony... her intuition told her he still hadn’t rembered.
Otherwise, how could he smile in such a nonchalant way?
As they talked, they were already outside the dorm building.
Warren’s gaze paused slightly when he saw them.
Because he noticed Ariana holding Ashley’s arm.
Mark had said Ashley agreed to have dinner with him, but he hadn’t ntioned bringing along a third wheel.
His gaze lingered aningfully on Ariana’s face.
He was clearly smiling, yet Ariana felt a chill.
Strange... wasn’t he supposed to have amnesia? Why did he still look like everyone owed him eight million?
She dared not show her thoughts, so when they reached him, Ariana took the initiative to introduce herself, "Hello, Young Master Prescott, I’m Ariana Grant, a friend of Ashley’s, and we used to be classmates too."
Warren had no impression of Ariana, not even a basic sense of familiarity.
But since she was brought by Ashley, he had to nod and greet her, "Hello."
He paused, then added, "Everyone calls Warren, you can call that too, otherwise it feels strange."
Ariana’s eyes slightly widened.
Let her call him Warren?
That never happened before.
He really had lost his mory, and was not quite the sa as before.
This change left Ariana at a loss for words, so she just gave an awkward smile.
Warren didn’t pay further attention to Ariana and said to Ashley, "I’ve reserved a Japanese restaurant, but since I can’t rember things from before, I don’t know your preferences, so I also booked a Cantonese one. Which one would you like?"
Ariana and Ashley showed identical surprised expressions.
Such ticulous arrangents, he really... wasn’t the sa as before.
Previously he never cared about what they liked to eat.
Ashley steadied herself and treated him as just an ordinary friend, saying, "Why don’t we go for Cantonese? I don’t really like raw food, and Ariana can’t eat raw things either."
"Alright, then let’s go for Cantonese. Get in the car."
Warren opened the back car door.
