Warren Prescott bent down to get out of the car, and when he returned to the company, he found soone sitting in his temporary office.

The other person seed to have been waiting for so ti, as the office was filled with the sll of smoke.

He walked in expressionlessly and poured himself a cup of tea.

He drank slowly, as if he didn’t see the person.

Maybe it was because the drink from the convenience store was too unpleasant, he gulped down a cup of water and it wasn’t enough, so he poured a second cup.

It was the person on the office chair who couldn’t hold back first.

"Where did you go?"

Chairman Prescott’s face was very unpleasant, and upon closer inspection, there was a hint of helplessness.

After taking over the company from the old man, things had been smooth sailing for him.

The Prescott Family had five generations of ancestors building the foundation for The Prescott Group, and by his generation, it had beco a skyscraper.

But even the tallest building can collapse if not carefully maintained.

His next generation, his son, had reached a point where they almost had nothing to say to each other.

And the problem happened to be caused by him for not controlling his personal life, allowing his son to find out.

Warren finally put down the water cup at this mont.

After drinking two cups of water, he felt the water slightly dousing the irritation inside him.

But towards Lars Prescott, he still didn’t show a pleasant face.

"Went out to take care of so business, do you need sothing?"

Chairman Prescott’s forehead vein throbbed as he struggled to suppress his anger.

"Business? The business you handled was to cut a year’s rent from one of The Prescott Group’s stores for soone irrelevant?"

Warren half-squinted his eyes.

"You had soone tailing ?"

Chairman Prescott took a light breath.

"I’m doing this for your own good."

Warren laughed.

"For my own good, so you cheated on my mom? For my own good, so you spent the night before my college entrance exam at a hotel with another woman? You’re really good to , thanks."

Chairman Prescott’s forehead vein seed ready to burst.

"I’m not here to bring that up, I know I wronged you and your mother in that matter."

"But, that Ashley Shaw, she’s not as simple as she seems."

"I talked to her at the welco-back banquet recently, she’s not a mindless person, on the contrary, she’s a very smart, clever person."

"Being smart is good, and poverty isn’t a bad thing, but soone who plays the cards of intelligence and poverty together can harm you."

Warren found it even more amusing.

In the past, when he thought Ashley Shaw was scheming and rejected her in every way, his father agreed to adopt her without a word.

Now that he no longer thought that way, his father said she’s not that simple and could harm him.

"What exactly are you trying to say?"

Chairman Prescott flicked the ash off his cigarette and spoke earnestly: "I think you and Lynn are a good match, focus on her and ignore the irrelevant person."

"I would love to focus, has she even allowed to? Instead of worrying about this, why not worry about yourself, sleeping with too many won outside could catch you a disease, go for a check-up when you have ti."

"Warren Prescott!"

Warren picked his ear: "I’m not deaf, no need to shout."

Uncle Rhodes walked in pushing the door at this mont.

"Chairman, soone is looking for you."

"I’m busy now, let them wait!"

"No... it’s..." Uncle Rhodes glanced at Warren, unsure how to say it.

Warren sneered.

"Since it’s sothing I can’t hear, you better hurry and talk to Uncle Rhodes outside."

Seeing Uncle Rhodes’ unusually serious and complex expression, Chairman Prescott stood up from the office chair.

"I hope you listen to what I said, otherwise I can’t guarantee I won’t take any coercive asures."

Warren’s eyes sharpened.

"What do you plan to do?"

"Either send you away or her, you can choose."

Warren clenched his fists, letting out two brief laughs from his chest.

He knew what his father was thinking.

Previously, when he disliked Ashley Shaw, his father was completely at ease with him and Ashley Shaw, now that he didn’t dislike her, his father was starting to worry.

But this worry was unnecessary, with Ashley Shaw... even he couldn’t clearly say what he felt.

Guilt, sympathy, or sothing else, he didn’t have ti to think deeply now.

As for Ashley Shaw, it was even simpler; from the way she avoided him like the plague the last few tis they t, it was clear when she told her friend in the school canteen that she "no longer likes him," she ant it.

Warren’s handso eyes drooped, the light casting a shadow on him, making him appear a bit lonely.

It’s amusing, the person he once disliked and loathed, he now couldn’t even describe his feelings for her.

Just then, a commotion erupted at the door.

"Everyone on this floor, take the rest of the day off."

It was Uncle Rhodes’ voice.

Warren’s intuition told him sothing significant might have happened, so he stepped out.

Just as he opened the door, Uncle Rhodes arrived at the entrance.

He wore a smile that revealed nothing.

"Young Master, there are no etings this afternoon, you can head ho first, I’ll see you downstairs?"

Warren locked eyes with Uncle Rhodes and suddenly spoke: "Has the secret been exposed?"

Uncle Rhodes’ expression stiffened, his montary panic didn’t escape Warren’s notice.

"Ha!"

He sneered and proceeded toward the chairman’s office.

Uncle Rhodes quickly caught up after realizing.

However, Uncle Rhodes was older and couldn’t match Warren’s quick pace with his long legs.

By the ti he caught up, Warren’s hand was already on the office doorknob, and just then, a sobbing voice ca from inside.

"I don’t care, I must have this child!"

Uncle Rhodes’ face changed drastically, he could only shout inside: "Young Master, you can’t go in."

This shout was a warning to the people inside, sure enough, the noise ceased instantly.

Warren held a cold smile at the corner of his mouth, swept a cool gaze at Uncle Rhodes, and pressed the door open forcefully.

Chairman Prescott sat in his leather office chair, while the woman across from him seed to have just wiped her tears, sitting in the middle of the sofa.

Warren raised his eyelids, scanning the woman carefully from top to bottom.

The woman wasn’t wearing makeup, appearing calm and elegant, but her eyes were red around the rims.

He recognized the woman as the spokesperson for the newly released product line under The Prescott Group.

Anne Sinclair.

She was only three years older than him.

Anne Sinclair was at a loss under Warren’s scrutiny.

She hadn’t intended for Lars Prescott’s son to know about this matter, nor did she intend to destroy the other party’s family.

She rely truly liked Lars Prescott, liked the charm of a mature and successful man he exuded.

So she wanted to keep the child.

Chairman Prescott rubbed his temples, a wave of headache washing over him.

"Warren..."

As Chairman Prescott spoke, Warren withdrew his gaze and looked at his father, who rarely showed such an embarrassed expression.

He chuckled playfully and asked, "I’m going to have a brother soon? No wonder you’re eager to send away."

Chairman Prescott frowned.

"That wasn’t my intention. I won’t keep the child, I’ll only have you as my son."

The curve of Warren’s lips deepened.

"Whether you keep the child or not is your business, but if you want to hide this matter, you must agree to one condition of mine."

Chairman Prescott took out a cigarette and lit it, indifferent to the fact that Anne Sinclair, who had just found out she was pregnant, was on the sofa.

A puff of smoke exhaled, clearing his thoughts.

"Go ahead."

This was his agreent to a condition.

Warren’s eyes reflected more mockery.

"Leave Ashley Shaw alone," he said.
