Ashley Shaw was unsure how she managed to walk out of the Prescott Family’s old estate, only rembering the constant stream of Claudia Jennings’ curses following her out.
When she ca to her senses, she saw a large truck speeding toward her.
At the mont of her impending death, she seed to faintly see a tall figure rushing rapidly towards her.
But that person couldn’t possibly be Warren Prescott, could it?
Perhaps that large truck was also arranged by Warren, because he had found the one he truly loved, making her existence unnecessary, discarded like a rag by him.
Upon opening her eyes again, she surprisingly found herself back at the Prescott Family’s old estate.
And in front of her, Warren Prescott, still youthful, was advancing on her step by step.
"Ah—"
In the next second, Ashley Shaw was suddenly swept up by Warren Prescott’s large hands and thrown onto the big bed.
Ashley Shaw, stunned, stared wide-eyed in disbelief at Warren Prescott who seed to have returned to his youthful days.
Wasn’t she dead? Dead along with the child in her belly.
Poor child, his father didn’t even know of his existence.
But what was happening now?
Why was she here at the Prescott Family’s old estate, encountering Warren Prescott?
The next mont, the owner of those hands pressed down heavily with his long body.
Accompanied by a vengeful kiss was Warren Prescott’s heavy breathing—
"Your mother deliberately leaked her heart transplant to Grandpa in the will, wasn’t it just to secure a life of luxury and wealth for you?"
"And you deliberately repeated a year with to get closer to , didn’t you?"
"I’ve heard your mom was the other woman, Ashley Shaw, it seems you’re just as cheap as she is!"
"Since you want the riches and glory, I’ll give them to you! Let’s see if you can handle it!"
As he spoke these hurtful words, he rudely tore open Ashley Shaw’s school uniform.
Ashley Shaw finally realized that she had been reborn.
Reborn to her student days.
Reborn a month after her mother’s death, when she had just been adopted by the Prescott Family.
Ashley Shaw trembled in fear.
The oppressive force exerted by gender made her feel extraordinarily powerless and terrified.
Once, she had been so greedy for their affection, now all she had was resistance.
"Let go... I didn’t... I didn’t know that the will would be seen by Grandpa Prescott... My mom had no idea who the recipient of her organs was! Plus, my mom wasn’t the other woman!"
Ashley Shaw pushed hard against Warren Prescott’s chest with both her hands, furiously trying to shove him aside.
The struggle made the girl’s slender waist twist with effort.
Originally uninterested, Warren Prescott suddenly froze, reacting in certain places.
His expression suddenly hardened, his eyes fixated on Ashley Shaw like nails.
Strictly speaking, Ashley Shaw actually looked quite pretty, but she always wore thick black-frad glasses, making her appear dowdy.
Seeing the girl struggling desperately, an inexplicable displeasure arose in Warren Prescott’s heart.
"Stop pretending to be innocent! You want it, then I’ll give it to you, just consider it repaynt for your mother donating that heart!"
His kiss landed on her fair neck, leaving a faint red mark.
"Warren Prescott! Let go! Have so decency!"
"Decency? Who exactly lacks decency? Exposed and angry with your thoughts, huh?"
Warren Prescott’s breath fanned her face, tickling her.
"Let go of !"
Ashley Shaw didn’t know where the strength ca from, but she raised her hand and slapped him hard across the face.
"Slap—"
Warren Prescott’s face was tilted to the side.
His handso face was full of disbelief.
He was probably surprised that a maid’s daughter, soone living under the Prescott Family’s roof, dared to reach out and hit him.
But Ashley Shaw was no longer the Ashley Shaw she used to be.
Ashley Shaw felt a bitter pain in her heart. She took advantage of his stunned mont to push him away and quickly ran out.
Returning to the servant’s room, Ashley Shaw quickly locked the door and squatted down, sobbing in anguish.
She cried for her past, mourned for her mother, and lanted that her sincere heart had been fed to the dogs.
In truth, Warren Prescott could hardly be blad.
His indifference was so obvious; it was her inability to see the truth, lost in the poisonous honey trap Warren Prescott had woven.
"Warren Prescott, in this life, I will never love you again!"
On the next day, Ashley Shaw woke up in tears.
The reflection in the mirror showed her red and swollen eyes, resembling two large walnuts.
She quickly applied a cold compress and mustered the courage to go downstairs.
As soon as she descended, Grandpa Prescott warmly approached her.
"Ashley, you’re awake? Huh? Why are your eyes so swollen? Did that rascal Warren bully you, or have you been bullied at school?"
Ashley Shaw didn’t dare tell Grandpa Prescott about last night’s incident and quickly made an excuse: "No one bullied ; I just missed my mom."
In her past life, it was Grandpa Prescott who noticed her affection for Warren, thus pushing the marriage forward after Warren’s beloved disappeared.
In this life, she wouldn’t let Grandpa Prescott develop even a hint of such thoughts.
However, just as Ashley Shaw finished explaining, she heard a low, cold sneer.
"Ha—so people are afraid we’ll forget their family’s kindness to us."
Ashley Shaw glanced sideways and saw Warren Prescott in his school uniform staring at her with disgust.
She hung her head in silence, but Grandpa Prescott disapprovingly snapped, "Warren, no one would mistake you for a mute if you didn’t speak!"
"Dad, why are you scolding him so early in the morning? It brings bad luck!" Mrs. Prescott hurriedly shielded her son.
Warren Prescott shrugged indifferently, slinging his backpack over one shoulder, and walked out nonchalantly.
Watching Warren Prescott like this, Ashley Shaw found it hard to associate him with the future formidable Great President Prescott of the business world.
Warren Prescott matured after eting his beloved, didn’t he?
At that ti, he wasn’t the silent husband she later married; his words were frequent now, but each one was deeply hurtful.
Yet, none of this mattered to her now.
Neither the young Warren Prescott nor the Great President Prescott were relevant to her anymore.
Once she graduated, she would move out of the Prescott Family.
"Grandpa Prescott, I’m not feeling too hungry today, so I probably can’t join you for breakfast. I’m heading to school."
"How can you skip breakfast?"
"I’ll buy sothing at the school gate."
"That’s fine." Elder Prescott generously handed her a bank card: "Go buy so breakfast."
Ashley Shaw quickly waved her hands in refusal.
But she couldn’t decline, so she accepted it for now.
Witnessing all this, Mrs. Prescott showed signs of displeasure.
Once Ashley Shaw left, Mrs. Prescott tested the waters: "Dad, aren’t you treating Ashley a bit too well? She’s rely the daughter of our servant. Giving her your supplentary card? What if she spends recklessly?"
"What servant’s daughter? Her mother was my lifesaver! Besides, she is your daughter now too."
"But her mom had advanced cancer. In the will, she herself ntioned leaving her heart behind was just a way to stay with her daughter. She never anticipated the heart would go to you."
"Enough! Shut up! Whatever the case, without her mom, there wouldn’t be an old man like today! If you dare to speak one more word, I’ll move out with Ashley!"
Mrs. Shaw’s throat tightened, left speechless.
Her husband was the most dutiful person; if he found out she upset Elder Prescott, he’d surely demand a divorce.
Fine then!
Luckily, Ashley Shaw seed obedient enough; as long as she stayed out of trouble, raising one more person ant just adding an extra pair of chopsticks.
Besides, Ashley Shaw used to live there, so she wouldn’t find it unfamiliar.
