Wright took out different cards from the deck, removed the joker, and had fourteen cards in hand, quickly shuffled them, and began to deal one card to each person.

There were fourteen people present, and everyone received a different card.

During the random dealing of cards, Ashley Shaw took out her phone for a quick glance.

No transfer notifications.

A hint of confusion flashed in her eyes.

Why hasn’t Grandpa Prescott transferred the money to her yet? Is there sothing delaying it?

Just as well, she could use the ga as an excuse to stall a bit, otherwise the card balance might not cover the bill later.

Ashley put her phone back in her pocket, just as the cards were dealt to her.

Seeing that everyone else was keeping their card hidden, she covered up her card too.

She got a face card, the King of Spades.

The fourteen cards were soon dealt.

Across from her, a guy stood up excitedly, saying, "I’m the King!"

As he spoke, he revealed his card.

It was a Joker.

"You lucky devil...!"

The guy raised an eyebrow in triumph, saying, "I’ll choose card number three, card three co out!"

The sports captain stood up with a grim face, turned his card over on the table.

It was the Three of Spades.

The guy with the Joker rubbed his hands eagerly, "Choose quickly! I’ve already thought of how to punish you."

The sports captain was silent for a mont, then said, "Well then... dare!"

Upon hearing this, Ashley Shaw instantly understood what the "King’s Ga" was.

Isn’t it just Truth or Dare?

Why use such a fancy na?

It made her say she wouldn’t play just now, causing everyone to look at her with surprised eyes.

The "King" ordered, "You’re good at sports, then do fifty push-ups!"

The sports captain’s face lit up with joy.

Just fifty push-ups, for soone who’s been a sports captain since elentary school, it was child’s play.

However, just as the sports captain moved to the open space to start his push-ups, he heard the "King" say, "Each push-up, bark like a dog!"

"Damn!" The sports captain couldn’t help but curse, but didn’t refuse, rely blurted, "You better hope I don’t beco King," and began his push-ups.

After saying that, the sports captain fell down to the ground and started doing push-ups.

Indeed, for each push-up, he barked like a dog.

And it didn’t stop there — at the second push-up, the "King" directly sat on the sports captain’s back.

"Damn! Get off !"

"I’m the King, dare you to resist? Draw a King yourself if you have the guts!"

"Damn!"

The sports captain cursed again, but kept playing, continuing to hold himself up, doing push-ups.

"Woof, woof, woof..."

He barked fifty tis in total, exhausting his strength and dignity.

Ashley Shaw watched in amazent.

She had played many rounds of Truth or Dare before, but the most daring she had seen was asking soone to call and confess to a crush.

This level, she had never witnessed before.

Seeing everyone being accustod to it, Ashley Shaw understood that they were long used to this level.

It seed they played even harsher gas.

Soon the sports captain returned, panting heavily.

Ashley Shaw asked sympathetically, "Are you alright?"

The sports captain wiped the sweat from his forehead, was about to say he was fine, when he saw Warren Prescott’s expressionless face looking at him out of the corner of his eye.

Imdiately, he withdrew his smile and said stiffly, "I’m fine."

Ashley Shaw noticed he didn’t appreciate her concern, shrugged slightly.

"Ashley, so now you know how to play?" soone asked her.

Ashley Shaw quickly flashed a smile, "I know now, I always called this Truth or Dare, didn’t realize the King’s Ga was the sa thing, so was a bit thrown off at first. But now I get it."

"Great! Let’s continue!"

Quickly, the second round began.

Ashley Shaw didn’t dare to open her card.

She feared she might have to go up and bark.

Even in her toughest days, she had never done anything like that.

"Alright! Cards dealt! Who’s the King?"

"I am." A deep voice sounded beside her, Ashley Shaw’s spine lightly trembled.

It was Warren Prescott.

Hopefully, he wouldn’t call out her card.

Only to hear Warren Prescott ask, "Who has the face card K?"

Ashley Shaw relaxed a little.

Last round she got the King of Spades, statistically speaking, she couldn’t get another King of Spades this ti.

So Ashley Shaw didn’t even bother to check her card.

However, several seconds after Warren Prescott’s question, no one responded.

Everyone exchanged glances.

"Who’s got the King of Spades? Don’t be hiding it deliberately to cheat, cheaters get double punished. Both truth and dare must be done." Wight said.

Still, no one responded.

The guy furrowed his brows.

"Damn, playing dirty, huh? Everyone, turn over your cards and put them on the table. Whoever has the King of Spades gets double punishnt, both kinds must be done!"

The others complied.

Ashley Shaw laid her card on the marble table without having looked at it.

In the next mont, Ashley Shaw’s eyes tightened, her pupils shrinking to pinpoints.

The face card K!

The card dealt to her was still the King of Spades!

Ashley Shaw stared in disbelief.

This was bad luck, like hearing a crow when the vows were said!

Seeing it was Ashley Shaw, Wright’s anger dissipated considerably.

Recalling Damian Ford’s recent misfortune connected to Ashley Shaw, Wright proactively offered, "Ashley, were you unable to hear just now? It’s okay if it wasn’t intentional, you can choose Truth or Dare."

Ashley Shaw apologized, "Sorry, I thought I wouldn’t get the King of Spades, so I didn’t check my card. I really didn’t an to."

"No worries, as long as it wasn’t deliberate. Go ahead, choose — truth or dare. We play pretty big on dares."

Ashley Shaw was about to choose "truth" when Warren Prescott asked Wright, "What, you’ll do the dare for her?"

Wright visibly broke into a cold sweat.

"No... I assud soone was hiding their card on purpose, so..."

Ashley Shaw didn’t want to involve innocent people, she spoke, "It’s alright, I accept the gamble and the consequences, I can handle it."

Warren Prescott’s dark eyes were fixed on her.

"Sure you’re turning down soone covering for you?"

"I just respect the rules of the ga."

"Haha." Warren Prescott chuckled softly and said, "Alright, I like playing with people who can handle it. I’ll give you a choice, truth first or dare first?"

Ashley Shaw bit her lower lip and uttered three words, "Truth first."

She feared that after completing the dare, she wouldn’t have the face or courage to continue with truth.

"Alright. Let’s start with truth."

Warren Prescott, holding his Joker card between two fingers, slowly began—
