Ariana Grant’s actions were starting to make Ashley Shaw nervous.
Regarding house matters, she could foresee danger and prepare in advance.
But the gaokao results were out of her control, especially Ariana Grant’s gaokao results.
However, avoiding to check wasn’t a solution, so Ashley Shaw took a deep breath and mustered the courage to log onto the website.
At this point, everyone who needed to check their scores had already done so, so the website was not slow at all.
After entering the exam admission number, she pressed "Enter" with a "snap".
The scores appeared instantly.
Ariana Grant did not rank in the top 50 in the province, so her scores were displayed.
She skipped the individual subjects and went straight to the total score.
"564 points."
Ashley Shaw imdiately jumped up from her chair.
"It’s enough! The score is enough!"
Last year’s admission score for Aethelgard dical University’s nursing program was 534 points. Ariana Grant exceeded that by 30 points. Even if the cut-off score increased, she would definitely get in.
Upon hearing Ashley Shaw’s shout, Ariana Grant imdiately leaned closer to the screen to look.
When she saw the 564 points, she almost burst into tears.
"This is great... I can attend the sa school as you."
Ariana Grant said, suddenly slapped her forehead.
"Wait a minute, you haven’t told your score yet."
Ashley Shaw held up two fingers.
"Top twenty."
"Wow! Wow! Wow!"
Ariana Grant exclaid three tis in a row, then said: "With that ranking, going to Aethelgard University would be more than sufficient. Are you sure you don’t want to go to Aethelgard University?"
"I’m sure. The dical school’s teaching quality at Aethelgard University isn’t as good as at Aethelgard dical University, plus... I personally don’t really want to go to Aethelgard University."
Ariana Grant nodded.
"If Aethelgard University’s admissions office heard that, their hearts would break into pieces."
Ashley Shaw shrugged and said, "Go take your post-al ds, I’ll take a shower and go to bed early today."
She had been delivering als almost the whole day and then got pulled into a karaoke session. Now she just wanted to lie down.
"O-Kay!" Ariana Grant made an OK gesture, "You go to sleep, I’ll take pictures of all the fitness equipnt to sell and then go to sleep."
"Mm."
When Ashley Shaw ca out of the shower, she found two new ssages on WeChat.
Both were from Warren Prescott.
Warren: A cute bear waving "Are you there?" emoji.
Warren: I haven’t congratulated you yet on getting a good score.
Seeing the cute emoji from Warren Prescott, Ashley Shaw felt a visceral revulsion.
In her previous life, it was through this emoji that she suspected Warren Prescott of possibly cheating.
Rembering how Warren Prescott rushed to save Rosalind Lynch that night made her expression even colder.
As for the two of them, her attitude was one of icy indifference.
Ashley Shaw acted as if she hadn’t seen it, pulled up the covers, and went to sleep.
Two days flew by.
This day was designated for returning to school to fill in the university applications.
Ashley Shaw took a leave of absence and went to school with Ariana Grant.
Their horoom teacher specified a school arrival ti of 9:30, and the two of them arrived at 8:30.
Ariana Grant wanted to co early for one last walk around the school, to take so pictures as ntos.
Ashley Shaw wanted to fill out her application early to avoid any complications.
The "complication," naturally, being Warren Prescott.
Having been given a second chance at life, she didn’t want her life to intersect too much with Warren Prescott and was determined to study dicine, so there should be no problems with her application choice.
When Ashley Shaw pushed open the door to the teachers’ office, the teachers were almost all present.
They were in the middle of dividing up a waterlon.
Upon entering, her horoom teacher imdiately saw her.
"Ashley? Oh wow, in just under a month, I almost didn’t recognize you, you’ve beco so much prettier. By the way, why are you here so early? But since you’re here, just in ti, co have so waterlon."
The horoom teacher specifically picked a big slice for her, his gaze full of fondness.
Ashley Shaw rembered when she first transferred to this class; her horoom teacher wasn’t particularly fond of her.
One reason was that transferring from arts to sciences, the teacher was concerned she might pull down the class average.
Another reason was Ashley Shaw’s love letter, which had been widely circulated within the grade, naturally displeasing the horoom teacher.
But now the horoom teacher was almost beaming at her. It didn’t take much imagination to figure out the reason.
She smiled politely and declined.
"Thank you, sir, but I’ll pass. I’ve co to fill out my application early."
Her horoom teacher insisted on handing her the waterlon.
Before he could say anything else, Ashley Shaw’s forr horoom teacher, Ms. Wright, teased with a smile: "Mr. Cheney, you really hit the jackpot; I just wasn’t so lucky. After nurturing a student for two years, she defected right before the decisive mont and made achievents elsewhere."
Ashley Shaw felt a bit embarrassed hearing this.
But Mr. Coleman chuckled and said, "Ashley’s scores are a bright spot for our school, sa camp, no difference."
Ms. Wright wasn’t a bad person, just jealous and envious—having a student able to rank in the province’s top twenty slipping out of her grasp.
She didn’t say much else, just found an excuse to leave, claiming she needed to go clean the classroom.
"Don’t mind her, she’s a gossipy person, but she’s really happy for you. Just before you arrived, she was praising you, saying how you switched to sciences so close to the gaokao but still scored so well."
Naturally aware that none of the teachers had ill intentions, Ashley Shaw nodded with a smile: "Yes, I know. Ms. Wright is quite nice."
"By the way, what were you saying just now?"
"I wanted to fill out my application early."
"Oh, right? Sure, do you know which school you want to apply to? It’s probably Aethelgard University, right? Have you decided on your major?"
Mr. Coleman, being easygoing, pulled out a university application form from the drawer for her while saying, "You wouldn’t believe it, but recent days have seen my phone almost explode from calls by college admission offices, all trying to reach you. I wanted to contact you, but the number I had for you was disconnected."
"I changed my phone number..."
"No wonder they didn’t call you directly and reached instead, as a last resort. Aethelgard University said if you went there, they’d waive all your tuition fees and even provide..."
"Mr. Coleman." Ashley Shaw interrupted her.
"Yes?"
"I want to apply to Aethelgard dical University and beco a doctor."
Mr. Coleman’s voice paused, and then he asked, "Are you sure about this?"
Ashley Shaw nodded solemnly.
"I have already made up my mind. I want to study clinical dicine."
"With your score and ranking, getting into Aethelgard dical University’s clinical dicine program shouldn’t be an issue, but are you really not considering Aethelgard University? They are very eager to have you, and if you go there, they will definitely focus on nurturing you."
At this point, Mr. Coleman chuckled.
"To hear myself say it, your scores would be cherished like a panda at Aethelgard dical University. But in the end, it’s up to you."
He knew Ashley Shaw didn’t have any parents to consult, so her own thoughts were the only guiding ones.
"I’ve already made up my mind and have thought it over for a long ti."
Upon hearing this, Mr. Coleman didn’t press further.
"Alright, let Aethelgard University cry about it! Fill out what you can, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask ."
"Okay."
Having filled out college applications before, Ashley Shaw didn’t need her horoom teacher to guide her and filled out the form herself completely.
She handed over the application form and whispered, "Mr. Coleman, could you do a favor?"
