"A toad lusting after a swan’s flesh! You don’t even look at your own hideous appearance, yet you dare to covet ?" Red, her flaming red hair a stark contrast to her disgust, faced the five n. These n were clearly looking for trouble. They were old enough to be her father, yet they had the audacity to ask her to keep them company. It was simply revolting.
"You ungrateful brat! I, this great one, took a fancy to you. Otherwise, you wouldn’t even be worthy to lick the dirt off my feet!"
"Exactly, stinking girl! We originally planned to let you off if you satisfied all five of us. But since you’re so clueless and ungrateful, don’t bla us for being rude."
"Why waste words on them? Just grab her and show them what we’re capable of!"

"This girl, we’ll deal with her right here and now. I’d like to see what they can do about it!" one of them snarled.
Shangguan You frowned, witnessing their utter shalessness. They didn’t even possess a shred of embarrassnt. Speaking such words so blatantly—if this wasn’t deliberately looking for a fight, then what was?
"Young Miss, I... I didn’t know it would co to this. I just received word that there would be a special brawl here tonight, so I brought you over, heh heh heh," Zhong Mingyang laughed unnaturally. These five n are as good as dead, he thought. Daring to speak such shaless words in front of the Young Miss is practically a death sentence.
"Indeed. I’m aware. And haven’t you noticed? The one in the middle of them—his eyes have turned red," Shangguan You observed, then nodded in understanding.
"Damn it! Have you no sha?!" one of them cursed angrily, his previously pitch-black eyes suddenly reddening. He brandished a knife and charged forward.
With a tearing sound, he plunged the knife into the nearest thug’s body. Fresh blood dyed his hands crimson—a truly gory spectacle.
"Heh heh heh! Damn it, you’re shaless! Let show you all how formidable I am! The taste of blood isn’t bad at all. I quite like it!" the middle-aged man declared as he yanked out the knife. Blood splattered everywhere. He licked the crimson drops from his lips, his eyes ablaze with intense excitent.
Blood gushed from the thug’s wound like a spring. He collapsed to the ground, eyes wide in disbelief, staring at the murderous-looking middle-aged man who had just stabbed him.
Seeing the middle-aged man lick the blood from the corner of his mouth, still looking unsatisfied, the thug’s eyes rolled back, and he fainted from sheer terror.
"Hahaha! Weakling!" the middle-aged man taunted, watching the thug faint. Knife still in hand, he lunged at the others.
"Brothers, attack! Soon, in front of these weaklings, we’ll have our way with that stinking girl! We’ll make her scream beneath us! Hahahaha!"
"Hahaha! Well done, brother!"
The five n burst into laughter, becoming even more frenzied at the sight of blood. Each of them pulled out a knife, preparing to strike the panicked thugs.
"AAH! AAH!" Red scread. She was shocked by the brutality. Although their brawls often drew blood, they had never been this cruel, blindly stabbing with knives that were usually ant more for intimidation.
"Brothers, we can’t let our comrade be bullied for nothing! There are more than a dozen of us; are we really afraid of five old fools? Brothers! Let’s take them on, four against one!" the blonde-haired man yelled, quickly composing himself and rallying the scattered thugs.
"Exactly! These five old bastards stabbed so many of our brothers! We can’t just run away! We need to take back our turf!"
The blonde-haired and green-haired leaders charged at the n drenched in blood. Under the dim lights, blood was everywhere, and bodies lay strewn about amidst cries of pain. Although the five middle-aged n had downed countless opponents, they too bore nurous knife wounds.
Drenched in blood, they looked monstrous, their eyes completely red.
Even Long Hua, Chu Yi, and Li Qing, walking through the carnage, frowned deeply. It was inhuman. The n fought like tools designed solely for spilling blood. They all glanced cautiously at Shangguan You. Seeing her calm expression, they breathed a collective sigh of relief. Fortunately, the Young Miss could handle this.
Shangguan You watched the scene quietly, images of the self-harming individuals at the security departnt flashing through her mind. In an instant, she dashed out. A swift kick sent the five middle-aged n flying.
THUD! THUD! THUD! THUD! THUD! The five n landed heavily on the ground, their bodies twitching. They tried to get up but couldn’t, as if their fras had been disassembled. Their eyes remained bloodshot as they writhed in agony.
With Shangguan You’s sudden intervention, her five companions, who had moved to assist, realized there was no need. They watched as she single-handedly dealt with the situation, staring at the n she had kicked to the ground. Long Hua and Chu Yi felt a wave of satisfaction. Finally! they thought. We’ve seen soone suffer even more miserably than we have!
The few thugs still standing, though covered in wounds, major and minor, sank heavily to the ground after witnessing their foes being sent flying. It felt as if they had just taken a tour through the Ghost Gate. They had nearly resigned themselves to death, but they had been rescued.
Red, her body covered in blood, trembled uncontrollably. She was utterly terrified, especially after one of the n had tried to rip her clothes off. Shangguan You’s swift action had been prompted by the utter shalessness of those n, who were intent on killing and violating simultaneously.
"Are you all right?" Shangguan You’s crisp voice broke the stunned silence, addressing the dazed crowd.
The blonde-haired man shook his head. Lifting his gaze to the young woman beside him, his eyes suddenly brightened. "It’s you! It’s really you! You saved us!"
The green-haired man also looked up at Shangguan You. Nearly a year had passed, but so people are unforgettable after a single glance. Their previous encounter in the alley was indelible in their minds. Shangguan You’s reappearance filled them not only with amazent but also with profound shock. "You saved us?"
