But why hasn’t she co yet?
"That damn girl, does she dare to stand us up?" Long Hua stood up from the sofa and cursed under his breath. Damn it, they had been waiting since nightfall, and she still hadn’t appeared.
"She probably won’t. Let’s wait a little longer," Chu Yi, also sitting on the sofa, said as his eyes behind his glasses swept a glance at the deepening darkness outside.
"Hmph, if that girl dares to stand up, I’ll head straight to Lotus Villa tomorrow and let her know I’m not soone to be trifled with," Long Hua fud. "If that girl doesn’t show, then I’ll be a laughingstock to my brothers again!"
"She should co," Chu Yi said calmly. "From what we saw last night, that girl wouldn’t give up so easily. Besides, she caused quite a stir before the entire nation. She must know we’re aware of her identity. If she wants to flee, she’ll have to see if we’d even let her."
Shangguan You circulated her Spiritual Energy, took a bath, changed, and then, with practiced ease, leaped down from the second floor. The mont she leaped from the window and exited the villa grounds, a strong beam of headlights flashed directly in her face, blinding her montarily.
The piercing sound of a car horn blared continuously in her ears. A black sports car sped towards her and, with a SCREECH, skidded to a halt just two steps away. It parked arrogantly before her. A captivating face erged from the car window.
"Get in," the man’s sexy voice resounded. A roguish smile played on his lips. Such a smile only added to his mysterious allure.
Shangguan You’s eyes, deep as starlight, t the man’s profound, soul-captivating gaze for several seconds; neither looked away.
"If you don’t get in now, the noise will wake everyone in the villa," the man said, his magnetic voice surprisingly pleasant. His handso brows quirked as he pressed hard on the horn. HONK! The jarring sound once again echoed through the silent night.
Shangguan You’s eyes turned cold. She really wanted to punch him. She yanked open the car door, sat down, crossed her arms, and glared at this devilishly charming man.
The man was strikingly handso. He had sharp, exquisitely sculpted features: long, sword-like eyebrows, sensual lips, and a high, well-defined nose. His eyes, in particular, were his most captivating feature—gentle and warm as water one mont, deep and inscrutable when he was serious, and utterly bewitching when he smiled.
But in the depths of those eyes, Shangguan You detected a fleeting hint of amusent and indifference.
To any woman, this man exuded a fatal attraction. He was like a fla to a moth; even knowing there was no path forward, they would be irresistibly drawn to him.
Looking at this man, Shangguan You suddenly felt a strange sense of familiarity.
"Who are you?" Shangguan You composed herself, her gaze shifting from his face as she slowly spoke.
"I told you we’d et again." The man revved the engine, and the car sped off, quickly distancing itself from the villa.
Shangguan You frowned slightly. Did she know this bewitching man?
"Youyou, you can call Ye Sanshao," his voice, as refreshing as a cool breeze, whispered in Shangguan You’s ear. Ye Sanshao focused on driving, a slight smile playing on his lips; her surprise was exactly what he’d anticipated.
An image of a bloodied, battered man flashed through Shangguan You’s mind. The man she had saved... could he be this man before her?
"That’s right," Ye Sanshao nodded, pleased she’d caught on so quickly. The hacker’s sports car sped wildly down the highway.
"What do you want?"
"To repay you for saving my life, I owe you a favor. Ask for anything," Ye Sanshao said. His magnetic voice, combined with the tender, inviting gaze in his deep-set eyes, made Shangguan You’s heart skip a beat. This man was a fiend, an absolute charr, the kind who could beguile anyone, anyti, anywhere.
"Anything at all?" Shangguan You echoed, scoffing inwardly.
"Naturally," Ye Sanshao replied, his captivating smile suggesting an utter disregard for any trouble in the world.
"I want to be empress, the ruler of this country. Can you arrange that? I want supre power, to make everyone grovel at my feet. Can you do that?" Shangguan You’s voice was icy. She watched Ye Sanshao’s brow furrow in montary deep thought and scoffed inwardly. ’Anything at all?’ This Ye Sanshao was unbelievably arrogant.
"That request... might take so ti. And..." Ye Sanshao paused, then spoke with a thoughtful frown.
"If you can’t do it, you should only promise what’s within your power. Otherwise, what good are empty promises?" Shangguan You said coolly, turning to look out the window.
"Mingyue Mountain, please. Thank you."
Silence filled the car. Ye Sanshao’s handso brow was furrowed in thought, while Shangguan You kept her gaze fixed on the passing scenery. The car continued towards Mingyue Mountain.
"I think, your request..."
"When I encounter a problem I can’t solve, I’ll co find you," Shangguan You cut him off coldly. She stepped out of the car, closed the door, and walked towards the brightly lit villa, ignoring the deep, sea-like gaze Ye Sanshao fixed on her back.
"Need my help?" Ye Sanshao’s voice suddenly ca from behind her. His tall figure leaned casually against the car, a smile in his eyes as he watched Shangguan You.
"Not needed." Her cold voice rang out. Shangguan You didn’t even glance back. She leaped effortlessly to the second floor and vanished into the shadows. If that damn Ye Sanshao hadn’t followed her, she would have directly entered her space and appeared before Chu Yi and Long Hua.
Ye Sanshao raised an eyebrow. He was intrigued by her business and found it rare to et soone so interesting. A roguish smile touched his lips as he strode forward, naturally falling in step behind her. He had to see what she was up to, going to Mingyue Mountain alone in the dead of night to find Chu Yi and Long Hua.
