Shen Po’s aged voice carried heavy dissatisfaction as he squinted at the enraged Shen Cheng before him. Hadn’t I told him not to co if there was nothing important? Why is he still here? And why choose this ti to co?
"Can’t I co? This place is mine, hmph!" Shen Cheng radiated intense anger as he coldly retorted to Shen Po. The thought of Wanqian willingly climbing into Yang Cilang’s bed had just settled the raging anger in his heart when it flared up again. Wanqian, that despicable woman, that vile person!
"Haven’t I said that you shouldn’t co if there’s nothing important? And even if you do, not to choose nightti? Have you listened to a word I’ve said?"
Shen Po furrowed his brows deeply, a hint of irritation in his eyes. In her hidden dinsion, Shangguan You also frowned. Isn’t this old man the one who was with Zhuge Ao that day? If he’s hiding here, then are Zhuge Ao and Zhuge Yang also here?
"Don’t forget, this place is also mine! I’ll co and go as I please, stay if I wish! Besides, I’m your grandson!" Shen Cheng roared, bypassing Shen Po to head toward the dilapidated building.
"Chengcheng, you mustn’t go in! Leave quickly. I’ll co to you tomorrow; we can talk about whatever it is then," Shen Po said, blocking Shen Cheng and grabbing his arm to make him leave imdiately.
"What have you done now? Did you offer the Crystal Coffin to that man again to suppress his poison?" A vicious look flashed across Shen Cheng’s face as a chilling aura emanated from him.
"No. I promised you, and I won’t go back on my word. But you must leave imdiately."
"No! I must go in and see what’s really happening!" Shen Cheng bellowed. He shrugged off Shen Po and stomped up the stairs.
"Shen Cheng, I am your grandfather! Don’t you forget that! When did you beco so bold as to not even listen to ?" Shen Po’s expression darkened. He leaped forward, throwing a handful of powder at Shen Cheng. Shen Cheng, who had been running, abruptly stopped and, with a THUD, fainted on the stairs.
"Unfilial child! I told you to leave, yet you dared to barge in! How could I, Shen Po, have such a disobedient grandson? Sigh!" Shen Po quickly lifted the unconscious Shen Cheng, roaring in anger.
"Shen Po, this grandson of yours... a useless person like him, what’s the point of keeping him around?" Zhuge Yang, dressed in a green Tang suit, appeared at the top of the stairs, eyeing the unconscious Shen Cheng in Shen Po’s arms with a dangerous gaze.
"Exactly. I’ve found this kid disagreeable since the last ti. If you hadn’t stopped , I would have sent him to the Western Paradise long ago! How dare he be so arrogant, so unreasonable? What does he think he is? Back in my day..." Zhuge Ao spoke coldly, his body exuding a palpable murderous aura.
In her hidden dinsion, Shangguan You sat on the Purple Lotus, surveying the villa. It was shrouded in black mist and thorns, and she observed the Illusion Technique and the Five Elents Formation deployed within. The place Shen Cheng had entered, the very spot he had stood on, was the only exit. Aside from that, the area was a desolate wasteland. No wonder I never knew such a peculiar place existed here before, she thought.
If it weren’t for Shen Cheng today, I wouldn’t have found their hideout. It seems that sotis, tailing soone can be beneficial.
Hearing the conversation outside, Shangguan You’s lips curled up slightly. It really took no effort at all. I can’t believe tracking Shen Cheng led straight to their main hideout. This is perfect!
"Master, Junior Brother, he is Shen Cheng, the only descendant of my Shen Family. Surely you don’t wish for my Shen Family to end with him? This kid lost his parents when he was young, so his temperant is a bit wayward. Please don’t hold it against him," Shen Po said, heaving a deep sigh as he looked at his master and junior brother. Even though things weren’t as they seed, Shen Cheng wanted revenge, and I let him have his way. I even allowed him to get everything he desired. But in the end, this is the result. Sigh. Shen Po sighed again, his eyebrows knitting together.
"Hmph! It’s only because he’s your grandson that we spared him last ti. Otherwise, he would have gone to see King Yama long ago. He wouldn’t dare be so brazen, so rude to us now! Hmph!" Zhuge Ao said gloomily.
"Alright, take him out. We have other matters to attend to; the detoxification is urgent," Zhuge Yang commanded authoritatively, his Tang suit billowing in the wind.
Shangguan You’s figure flashed as she quickly followed Shen Po, making sure to morize the way out. Seeing Gui Mo anxiously waiting, she quirked an eyebrow and swiftly covered Gui Mo’s mouth with her hands, silencing him.
The two hid in the shadows, watching as Shen Po carried Shen Cheng out and placed him in a car. Shen Po sighed deeply before disappearing once more, while Shen Cheng remained unconscious in the car.
"Gui Mo," Shangguan You instructed, "drive ho now, take a bath, and go straight to bed. Sleep soundly. When you wake up, it will be as if nothing happened. You won’t rember anything, understand?"
Shangguan You swiftly ford seals in mid-air, casting them upon the puzzled Gui Mo. She watched as his confused eyes gradually beca hazy.
As Gui Mo drove off, Shangguan You’s figure flashed. She leaped back towards the wall following the route she’d morized, re-entering her hidden dinsion and vanishing.
This dinsion is really useful, Shangguan You mused. It allows to co and go without detection. The exterior of the villa was covered in rust, but the interior was decorated with the charm of Jiangnan. Shangguan You once again manipulated things within her dinsion, transforming her appearance into the black-clad figure she had used before. Satisfied, she nodded. If I need to appear, I’ll use this disguise.
The villa sank into darkness, except for a faint, pale light filtering from the third floor. Shangguan You looked at the Luminous Pearl installed in the room, her mouth twitching. Seriously? Not using modern high-tech items and opting for these old-fashioned things instead... she thought. Shen Po is an idiot.
