She really doubted whether this rusted furnace could actually produce any dicine. Although its na was mighty, its appearance was simply too hard to accept.

She placed both hands on the dicine furnace and, following the instructions that surfaced in her mind, began the process of refining elixirs. She continuously poured the small amount of Spiritual Energy she had cultivated over the past two days into the furnace.

Gradually, sweat beaded increasingly on her forehead, yet the Purple Furnace only grew slightly warm. Over ti, however, the temperature of the Purple Furnace began to rise steadily.

Just as she felt a surge of happiness, BANG! The lid of the furnace flew off. The herbs inside turned into a pile of black char, scattering wildly and saring her face.

Failure. Insufficient Spiritual Energy, insufficient amount of herbs.

Several large characters appeared in her mind.

Alas, it looks like I’ll have to diligently cultivate my Spiritual Energy to refine dicine, she thought. Fortunately, ti in this space passes much faster than outside, so I have plenty of ti to practice the dicine King Canon’s techniques and increase my Spiritual Energy. One day here is just a few hours outside; that gives more than enough ti to study and cultivate.

She couldn’t help but touch her face to wipe away the sweat. Damn it! I refuse to believe I can’t even refine dicine! To hell with this!

She silently cursed in her heart.

"A flawed mindset leads to failure."

These words appeared in her mind once again, clearly.

"Ah, you’ve got to be kidding ! Is the dicine King Canon actually alive, with a mind of its own?" Shangguan You exclaid in shock.

"Error." A large character for "wrong" appeared in her mind again.

"Good heavens, is the book alive, and also residing in my mind?" Shangguan You cried out in alarm.

"Wrong. Practice diligently, and all will beco clear in ti. Once you have enough Spiritual Energy, you will be able to refine dicine. The Spiritual Energy here is much more abundant than outside. Practice well, and once you reach the second level, even better treasures will be waiting." Another sentence appeared in her mind, reminding her to work hard to master the second level of the dicine King Canon and unlock the second door.

This is truly bizarre, Shangguan You thought. After washing herself, she sat cross-legged and resud her practice according to the dicine King Canon.

She was determined: to refine a life-reviving elixir as soon as possible, to exact her revenge, to master extraordinary martial skills, and to see her family again at the earliest opportunity. She would give it her all.

As the first rays of dawn entered, Shangguan You, who had been cultivating in the space, opened her eyes. Cultivating here truly yielded twice the results with half the effort. A flash of purple light glead in her clear eyes.

Stepping out of the space, she imrsed herself in the bathtub, washing away the layer of black impurities from her body. After a night of cultivation, she felt fresher and more energetic. The Spiritual Energy within her was also more vibrant.

In the mirror, her hair was smooth and lustrous, black with a gentle shimr. Her skin was as white and gleaming as jade. Her elegant, arching eyebrows frad deep, tranquil eyes that calmly gazed at her reflection, as if spring water flowed quietly within them. Yet, with a single glance, her presence was compelling, emanating an undeniable nobility. Her nose was proud, and her lips were a very light pink that seed a bit aloof, yet also endearingly vulnerable.

Shangguan You gazed silently at herself, surprised that just two days of cultivation had brought such a monuntal change. Her features were the sa, but her whole being had transford, commanding a compelling presence and exuding an air of untouchable grace and nobility.

The original Shangguan You was a natural-born princess. However, her reclusive nature and her glasses had hidden her brilliance, allowing people to see only her plainness, her light all but extinguished. Now, not only had she recaptured her past radiance, but she had also acquired an added layer of mystery that involuntarily drew others to delve deeper. Her very presence also exuded a gentle approachability that made people want to draw near.

Suddenly, she shivered. Despite the onset of spring, the early morning temperature was still quite low. She put on a high-neck beige sweater and her school uniform over it. Placing her old-fashioned glasses back on her face, she acknowledged her significant transformation. It’s better to remain low-key, she decided.

At the school gates, Zhu Li’s loud voice stopped her again. "Youyou, how can you go back on your word?"

"I really had sothing urgent to do. It’s the sa whether Gui Mo tutors you or not," Shangguan You said, sowhat exasperated. I gave Zhu Li such a great opportunity; what does she have to complain about?

"But when you didn’t show up after ten minutes, Gui Mo left! He didn’t even glance at ," Zhu Li whined pitifully.

"Youyou, you stood up yesterday," another voice, even more mournful, sounded. Gui Mo, his roguishly charming presence already blocking her path, overshadowed the sunlight.

"I don’t need tutoring."

Rolling her eyes at the person posing before her, Shangguan You strode toward the classroom.

"Youyou, you really have no conscience! I transferred to No.1 Middle School just for you," Gui Mo’s mournful voice continued, but the person ahead paid him no attention.

"Mr. Chen, I would like to transfer directly to senior year next sester to take the college entrance exam," Shangguan You said in the office, her head bowed as she stated her request.

"What?" Mr. Chen was astonished that a freshman student would request a direct transfer to senior year to take the college entrance exam. If her grades had been good, it might have been a different story, but she was among the worst-performing students. No wonder Mr. Chen exclaid in surprise.

Moreover, freshman year combined humanities and sciences; students weren’t stread until sophomore year.

"I want to transfer directly to senior year next sester," Shangguan You repeated.

It was break ti. Han Yachu and Lan Xuan were about to leave the office when they heard Shangguan You’s words. Their gazes fell upon her once more, their steps halting. It was the sa face, the sa attire, yet why did they feel as if she had beco a completely different person? This feeling was even stronger than the day before.

"Shangguan You, have you considered this carefully? With your grades, do you really believe you can directly take the college entrance exam? Moreover, are you opting for humanities or sciences?" Mr. Chen asked seriously.
